Then it gets an extra console slot, relative to its Romulan or Fed version if they too want to cloak. Tell you what, how about this? A temporal cloak console, only equippable on time ships. Not a battle cloak, a standard one, but it's highly resistent to snooper builds and also adds kinetic resistence while on. 200 lobi.…
Well, the systems on the boats we have access to have been nerfed. Otherwise we'd be merrily zipping through time a lot more than a few seconds at a time. Seems to me that, while the originals may well have had phase cloaks that worked, the ones we can access to have the capability removed. Although, the infrastructure…
In my view, the best option going forward is not to nerf the difficulty but to raise the rewards across the difficulty levels. Running normal should get you all you need to finish a rep and get rep gear. Advanced and elite versions need to be a challenge and, for a while now, they simply haven't been. Something to aspire…
Well, the dilithium aside, it is a serious error not putting things like implants, BNP and injections as rewards at normal level. Normal should not be treated as, officially, training for advanced or elite. Of course it is that, but the game shouldn't treat it like that. A player should be able to progress, albeit slower,…
This is true, they're not actually gated. However, if you want to have the story of the discovery of the first Iconian gate, then you do need to have gotten to romulan rep T5. While not necessary, it's a bit like the prologue to the story. And, if you're playing these things for the story, then gate or not you need Rom rep…
Trendy seems to have no issue posting on this thread. Even if only via her phone, wouldn't the right thing to do have been to post what was posted to twitter here as well?
Oh, a link buried in a multi-page thread. As opposed to the dedicated subforum marked 'release notes' which is there for the sole purpose of posting patch notes?
This is the official forum. This is where the CMs should either post first or very soon after using other outlets. Or did you see no problem with season 9.5 only being announced on twitter?
Interesting. Did you not type a few posts earlier that, if your thing was PvP, you were straight up lied to? It's not a ficticious claim if, in a real and meaningful context, its damn well true, wouldn't you think? I get that PvP is something of a niche activity. Lots of things are in the game, because as an MMO, its…
And, apparently, you have chosen to announce via twitter that by 'stay tuned' you really mean wait for tomorrow. Are we to take this as indicative of PWEs commitment to giving their own official forum accurate, timely and useful information?
And I'm sure that'll be the official story. If I were Smirk and all, I'd be worrying more about Twitter and Facebook. Far more public. All sorts of people, STO players and non-STO players, will have a chance to see just how good PWE are at customer relations tomorrow. Be interesting to see if any media pick it up.
Why yes, yes they do. And, unlike the DR pack T6 ships, this will also have eleven consoles. So, they'll have the T6 abilities we've come to expect, as well as the extra console which was the T5Us only claim to parity.
All I will say is, if they want to sell T5 upgrade tokens, they better price them cheap. Either that or roll out the canon T6 ships out soon. A sizable number of people want to fly canon ships, competitively.
No, its been that bad. One of the most damning criticisms of the CM work recently has been the extremely unprofessional way the fora are neglected in favour of things like twitter.
Sad but true. Community management has not been up to the mark for quite a while now. The individuals on point are personable enough, but information flow and actual engagement has been very weak.
Oh, it'd have its unique console. And ship mastery, probably a fifth trait too. It would be T6, like the Guardian is T6. So, a previous lock box gave a T5, with the free option to T5U. The new lockbox T6 would be comparable to the old lock box T5 upgraded. T6 has ten consoles to the T5u's eleven, but gains a boff seat and…
