As of today the maelstroms have the correct 15s cooldown. My support ticket was rejected with a reply saying they were working as intended with 30s, but I'm not going to complain. At least they work properly now.
I suggest you use chroniton beams if you want something that looks magical. Throw in some chroniton turrets for added sparkle, and perhaps a Hirogen turret if you happen to have one (the beams are unremarkable but the turrets look like weaponised clouds). The old temporal lobi and ship sets would probably suit the…
I know. That's why I started one. But let's be constructive. If I come across as tetchy it's because I bought the entire bundle just for these torpedos and I like them quite a bit. The best thing about the maelstroms turned out to be the long recharge time; they take me back years to the ship that just happens to be the…
I'll be honest, I preferred it how it was. The trouble is that I can't really see how it works now because the cooldown (not the recharge) is still 30s.
Plus it's broken now: recharge may be 15s, but if you fire it without Spread etc. you can't fire again for 30s. I liked having to choose my time for firing torpedos. It was like playing a new character again.
Gee, why didn't I think of that? Turns out I did, and they don't appear in the crater. Right now I'm waiting for a Red Alert in the crater to see if they spawn there then.
I was one of the first people to do that as it happens, but it doesn't help if no-one has the missing creat. Makes me wonder if the devs just pulled the list of animals from the wiki.
Wide-arc DHCs are in there. But, to answer your question, none of the new stuff was on tribble before launch. Usually it's players who do a fair bit of the testing.
You're dealing with torpedos that have 180 degree arcs. Ship choice is pretty much immaterial unless your goal is to have as much torpedo spam as possible. If that's the case then look at a pilot ship with the micro-missile console and the trait whose name escapes me for the moment (the one that fires a missile out of the…
In the UK this is what we call serendipity*. SB234 could be an excellent map for testing things that affect teammates and/or allies, because it's often difficult to get enough tribble testers together to try a TFO. * When you find something good while looking for something else. It's hard to translate, but imagine that…
It's also good to see that the map can be played as a team, and I have a few comments:* The "Choose Combat Settings" and "View Map Information" are broadly the same; I suggest you remove the latter as it seems to merely duplicate the former with a slightly different description. * If any one team member dies, the scenario…
