I've been logging in daily to run the Ferengi Admiralty and Endeavor missions and I just learned about the Phoenix Prize pack today on 8/9. I'm very disappointed. Could you please post a pop up with the announcement in game and in the load up box next time (once the event starts)? I'm very familiar that a special mission…
I did not get my last Weekend Voucher. There is a lot of potential for growth for this event. The number of enemy ships and their speed heavily favored wide arc weapons (beams and 180 degree cannons) and AOE attacks. I rarely could use torpedoes (I only use torpedoes) as I tracked the Maru and tried to engage a lone ship…
My first impression during my first match: How are narrow arc weapons, 90 degree and less (Torpedoes, some Cannons, or even long timer weapons like Mines), supposed to compete in this match? I really enjoy the ground version, I loved it right off the bat. The space queue, I'm not so sure. I'll certainly run it for the…
There needs to be more re-balancing (torpedoes and mines) and some re-tweaking (the control aspect of Gravity Well, have sci consoles focus on non-exotic abilities and damage) in my opinion. I like the old matte look, and I'm not a fan of the Lighting options being removed. I've said this before in a forum post, I think…
@aspartan1 Conversion tool is an inexact term on my part. Check the last box in a reputation box, on the reputation tab, where you can craft tokens for alts, convert marks to unrefined dil, etc.. There you will find the x10 + conversion tools/boxes for that particular reputation mark.
People have talked about and posted on the lighting quality issue on the forums and on reddit. I dislike the wet/shiny/waxy look that changed for me since Season 13 went live.
I finished up the reputation two days ago. I'd read that PvP was broken and pay to win for quite a while, but I thought it was completely ridiculous when I saw players outrunning my Scramble Sensors attack in Core Assault Adv. I even tried PvPing a few times during the rep to give it a good faith try. The invulnerabilities…
@frtoaster I opened the gameprefs file to change PrefEntry GfxSettings.LightingQuality 10 to PrefEntry GfxSettings.LightingQuality 0. I had turned on both "Postprocessing" and "Cinematic focus (depth of field)" earlier, which helped with performance, and they remain on now. However, PrefEntry GfxSettings.LightingQuality is…
I'm not sure at the moment but that could be the case. I seem to remember tweaking that file for a dx 9/ dx 10 graphics issue. I made the following tweak and my performance improved: "You don't have to turn on SSAO to get rid of the transparency issue. Another workaround is to turn on both "Postprocessing" and "Cinematic…
@tilarta @salvation4 For posterity sake I just tried turning Postprocessing and Cimematic Focus (Depth of Field) both on. That seemed to improve some play performance for me. Although I do not like the veneer look as it makes my toon look old. I'd like the mate look back. Here is the pasted Reddit suggestion by…
The Counter Command Tac console that boosts radiation damage boosts the missile's radiation damage as well. That is the only item I've tried so far. If I am remembering correctly my rad damage was 3020+ before the slotting the console and 3275 ish after. I could be mis-remembering but I was not impressed with the gain.
I'm disappointed with the radiation damage. I've not parsed or viewed the combat log but the radiation damage seems to not damage very much. I appreciate the 180 degree capacity and thank the devs for a weapon that is supposed to do that much shield bypassing damage. Dear Devs, more tinkering and weapons please, I…
An enemy player, a Caitian, hopped over to our side during the boss fights to attack us a few times. It was annoying but Cryogenic Stasis Field put him/her on ice. I'd like to not see players hopping over to the other sides. The opening room with lit path is never fun and takes me a while to cross, could be my computer…
@tunebreaker Thanks. Dear devs, please bring back the +All damage. Science is not always about using Exotic damage powers and I appreciated the damage buff to my torpedoes on non-exotic builds. It helped make my healboat and control power boat somewhat competitive in queues that had dps benchmarks.
Yes, none of my settings were changed at all. Most were off and set to minimum. Thanks for posting. If it is being discussed on Reddit and not the official STO forums that is too bad.
I'm not sure about a console that could do that. I certainly could be overlooking something as I'm not familiar with many lockbox consoles or consoles for purchase. If I wanted to maximize TS, my first thought would be to only use crafted torpedoes with a [Spr] modifier. So that would be 6 torpedoes on a Sci ship with each…
I run mostly Elite and Advanced queues in Science ships (2 tac officer slots often, sometimes three) and I believe that they are not OP. Even when I run them on Tac ships. Sometimes I'll stay away from Elite queues because I'm not doing enough damage, (due to mission benchmarks) for a variety of reasons and that is really…
