  • You know, a couple years ago I'd say, "no way, this is just more powercreep". Now, it wouldn't matter lol.
  • All I really want is to put the Aeon skin with the Omega set visual on all ships.
  • OP, create a new poll Option 1: Remove cap on dilithium refining and remove the dil exchange cap. Option 2: Status quo. Now that's a real poll. And if option one was enacted the Dilex would be 5000:1 instantly. That would make some people happy, and I think people who pay should get some benefit. Removing the refining cap…
  • I did run it with beams, max throttle, EPtE + Aux2Damp. I called it the USS Starfox. The thing moves like nothing else I have. I've been running the Paradox for a while, what a whale lol. I'm looking forward to the 31c Temp ship pack once it goes on sale.
  • I found it plays best as a beamscort. Reciprocity +AHOD; all the tac powers, OSS, EPtX with doffed Aux2Damp + Aux2SIF constantly firing. Put heals only on sci stations, use liberally, run away when needed. Pilot Spec primary also helps. I loved my Fleet Phantom, then I got the Icarus - which is far superior in every way.
  • As a Mobius and Paradox owner, I suggest the Paradox all the way. The Mobius was my old PvP ship, and is a capable heavy escort, but it doesn't really do multiple roles well. My Paradox fills the dps/control/tank roles well enough in most PUGs (though it doesn't do any of those well enough to be considered top tier). But…
  • Would have loved to roll a Klingon, Gorn or even Romulan in the TOS era. That would have been a lot more fun for me than one of four races. Meh, missed opportunity I think.
  • But we're talking young Kirk, full of youth, held together by girdle.
  • So they can FAW eachother, 20x the win in STO!!! Doffed scramble I'm sure... ah PvP, where neglected stuff was good.
  • What would Kirk do: Not play some lame video game, he's too busy chasing every female in the galaxy. What would Kirk do in the STOverse: FAW, FAW, FAW no matter what! What would Kirk do in TOS: Look to a point in space dramatically, overact a few lines, win. What would Kirk do in that particular mission: Convince everyone…
  • I'm referring to the temporal recruit event going on now. That's about how long it would take someone playing casually to reach 60. Though I'm sure most won't max out their characters.
  • 1. If I'm not mistaken they said the engine can't handle true 3d movement - so no. 2. PvP is dead, absolutley, irrevocably, dust scattered in the wind so that the elements can't be reanimated - it would be best to just delete all PvP content all together (though PvP may exist in a fun state on console for a couple months).…
  • LoR by far. PvP was in its last great era, where the barrier to entry was pretty low with great balance between Kirks and Teams. Though Romulans were a fraction, it made sense since the Empire was fractured by the Hobus Nova. Power creep yes, but LoR powercreep seems like child's play now. And we got pretty large map to…
  • Thank you for supporting the game!
  • They know what they're dong and I assume they think it's funny when you get offended. Personally, I'm happy they offend people; sensitivity seems like it's at an all time high among the population of western countries. I will echo a previous comment, what's wrong with using satanic/occult imagery?…
  • But he or she has likely played all the content, rolled multiple characters, explored everything the game has to offer. Take away everything this player has purchased and earned, all the foundry content, and likely many friends made on PC. I know those factors would lead me to never give another platform a try. It has…
  • Heh, we just make people wait a month until they get access to the stores. Zero donations needed, just a couple speed bumps to keep out the pillagers. But yeah, as some have said, you can get access to whatever you want for free. Join an old fleet with tons of provisions and virtually no barriers, but have few…

  • I estimate that I have gotten about 8 million since DR, with taking a few months off the game here and there. That number would be for all characters, funneled to my main. I converted enough dil to have 15k Zen once AoY was announced. At the time the conversion rate was around 310, so that's 4,650,000 dilithium currently…
  • When recently asked about dilithium grinding by one of our fleet members I wrote the following: Though yes, I'd never discourage anyone from buying zen. Working just a few days at a minimum wage job here in the US gets you more dilithium. I know, about an hour of logging in - doffing, chatting, and maybe running a queue -…
  • I wasn't sure if it was just a fluke, but looking at previous parses (ISA, CCA, Japori Elite, even a PvP match) all show a similarly low crit rate. I had noticed the PEPT cloud was also critting less. And of course the numbers from my Deteriorating Deflector aren't even worth talking about - pretty dismal. Would like to…
  • An open PvP zone already exists, with PvE objectives and NPCs, it's called Ker'rat. Go there sometime, preferably as a Klingon or Romulan KDF. Feds always outnumber KDF by at least 5 to 1. Anyway, PvP is dead. Nothing can revive it on PC until STO 2. If you want to PvP, I suggest you go get on a console. PvP will be alive…
  • Why make the game cross platform? Imagine droves of console players having a tough time killing a Borg Cube on normal difficulty through episodes. Then they decide to queue up for an ISA, it ends without them firing a shot, and they're puzzled as to what happened. Cue the same complaints we see all the time on these forums…
  • My greatest hope would be that they could somehow manage to make this cross-platform. Next would be that I can log into my account on any platform, totally intact, just copied like we do for Tribble/Redshirt. Lastly, if I have to start fresh, I'd love if they'd give some sort of promo pack for PC accounts older than say a…
  • OP can't figure out why someone would hate having something they earned taken away from them. OP totally ignores the business model of the game, which is to sell power. Third or fourth thread about the exact same thing, which is to make everyone play the game how the OP thinks the game should be played. Obvious troll is…
  • I will give this troll 1/10: OP's post count of 12 so sockpuppet, not one bit of subtlety to the text, and purposely misspelled words result in some utter drivel. Show me on the doll where the bad DPSer, Dev, PvPer, ERPer, or whoever else you're blaming for this "awful game" violated you.
  • If I can use the Olympic skin and it has great stats I'd consider it. I guess time will tell.
  • I'm not a fan of TOS and I hate the TOS aesthetic. 90% of the show was utter garbage so hopefully they only hit the high notes in their story. I'm not interested in rolling yet another toon just to play content. And now the business model is to make the Delta Recruit event, except just for Feds, into an expansion... just…
  • First, bad poll is bad. Second, the devs made the game this way. They had every intention of putting players on the DPS treadmill. The problem is that game knowledge is what really produces DPS. So the solution would be for the devs to revamp the game to have other things besides DPS as a focus, and teach people how to…
  • It boggles my mind how anyone would have a problem with this event. Is there some elite version I have yet to play? Maybe my L337 h4x science AoE powers are OP, pls nerf. Seriously, use Gravity Well, it pretty much fixes all your problems.
  • In a word, yes. Is it a "good" carrier, meh.
