Update: Well it looks like the Paradox has won this one in a landslide.
Thinking about buying one of the other time ships to go with my temporal science wessle.
However i cannot buy both.
Depends on your taste. Escort vs. cruiser like sci ship. The Paradox is quite the beast but if you're not into whales you're better of with the destroyer.
The Manheim Device - aka the suicide console - is one of the least useful in the game.
It was fixed last year:
The Manheim Device no longer has shared damage effects.
The past and future temporal duplicates now behave as two independent pets.
In addition, activating this console will provide a massive boost to damage resistance to the player’s starship as well as the temporal duplicates.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.
I have both the mobius and paradox- both of which are outstanding. It depends on your play style, and officer abilities.the paradox can really deal out some pain as a SCI/ cruiser ship- ESPECIALLY with both of the consoles. ('Bow down before your god"). It also has. Command seat which is very nice.
The mobius if built correctly can go toe to toe (shield wise with some cruisers) and is still a very viable t5-u ship- it can go up against t6 ships in PvP, which should speak volumes.
Why do I still play and put money into STO?
The Foundry, and my love of Star Trek
Paradox.
Has way more up side to it at this point.
And it's pretty solid ship (for whatever type of damage you'd like to dish out), my only complaint is that its freaking HUGE.
As a Mobius and Paradox owner, I suggest the Paradox all the way. The Mobius was my old PvP ship, and is a capable heavy escort, but it doesn't really do multiple roles well. My Paradox fills the dps/control/tank roles well enough in most PUGs (though it doesn't do any of those well enough to be considered top tier). But up to 5 tac seats, a Commander sci, two specialist hybrid seats, and Aeon pets are pretty nice too.
The trait and consoles are pretty much worthless, but the same can be said of 90% of all ships. At T5, I'd get a Vesta, pretty much the pinnacle sci ship at T5. Though maybe the new T6 31c ships might be worth it. I will pick those up next ship sale.
I gotta say... the raider is a vicious killer but that dreadnought cruiser?! Wow.... only thing that could get me out of my morrigu for any length of time is that gem.

It's just too bad that they didn't get any other hull & bridge options, aside from that the 31st bunch is quite nice.

you DO know it hasn't been a suicide console in close to a year, right?

Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
Out of pocket money
