The idea was never to be able to keep adding and adding. The idea is to have a set number of upgrades that a player could unlock, so when all is said and done, one has a T5 level ship equal with natural T5 ships. _______________________________________________________________ I like that idea! I've always thought that we…
If that's the case, than they are missing a great draw to the game for some players. I've by no means made such upgrades quick or easy. Anything less than Success rates for a Rare schematic will break the chain and require starting over, same goes for Critical Success for the Very Rares. So, perhaps showing a doable,…
Very true about the hard-coded part. The only way I see around that would for Cryptic to (re)create every ship as a T5-level* ship with the additional console slots locked out. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. We'd see how many slots we could ultimately add. Plus, they'd just be staring at us, begging to be…
My issues, on top of the Fleet Channel not appearing on my FED toons, is, while on my KDF toons, I can read my FED toons' fleet chat and my KDF fleet chat, but cannon talk in either. I'll try that workaround that latinumbar suggested... Seems to have worked! THANKS! :D
I will agree with people that the Borg, before Season 7, were a bit on the weaker side. I was normally able to take out two drones with my Mk XI Maco Batle Rifle and buffs (Ambush III, Power cell, and Target Optics) with ease before I had to switch weapons. Fun way to blow off steam, but little challenge for what the Borg…
On Sept 23: On Sept 26: And on Sept 29th, I have asked for the figures, even if they were not exact, you see mentioned above. Considering that NO ONE has given me any figures to take into consideration. I am forced to conclude, once again, that disconnects will not be a major problem and that any penalty because of a…
Actually, there IS a real world value to every item in the game. Since there are C-Store items available on the exchange, a few simple equations shows the exchange rate of Zen to EC per item. The average of 8 C-store items comes to 7,562.5 EC per Zen. I looked at Caitian BOffs, Ferasan Boffs, Fluidic Space Tribbles,…
Does anyone have a rough idea as to the average number of times a server disconnect occurs while in an STF or Fleet Mark mission over the course of 4 days?
I agree that those are issues. But no one has answered my repeted question: How often do either of those happen to you while you are in an STF or Fleet Mark mission? (In this case: within a 4 day period) If I don't know how frequently it is happening to other players, I don't know how heavily to wiegh that issue.
If a man is by a river and hungry, I will try and teach him how to fish. But if he just wants to goof off, ruin the fishing, and not listen, he's going to get very wet.
Upon further consideration the "Removal of Character" and "Account Removal" penalties will be removed. The entire Expulsion timetable has been reworked.
MR. Mattimeo, If you are going to try quoting me, actually quote me. Don't try and put your inaccurate spin on my words. This is what I said: Family, jobs, recreation are all important. Not just game time, but our time as a whole. Hence, "we take our time seriously."
I fully understand the frustration of being in a STF and having a person or two totally TRIBBLE it up. I was with 2 other people from my fleet earlier today in Infected Ground Elite. The entire time we felt like we were carrying the other two people through the mission. In the final chamber, the word came down "Jumpers…
I understand the desire of veterans wanting to rage quit. I've almost done it myself. But rage quitting before the players that need to learn tactics that can be contrary to instict have a chance to run through enough times to figure those out is just as bad as those who just leave to TRIBBLE you. My skill level or the…
A-1) It will be minute for the innocent, not for the repeat offenders. One possible way to further protect those legitimately disconnected on Cryptic?s end is lower the penalty to a single infraction. Those trying to game the system will still earn plenty of infractions fast enough to be stung by the harsher punishments.…
Responding to keepcalmchiveon. A) I've been disconnected, we all have. But honestly, how many players are in STF's so frequently that the occasional disconnect will cause a highly inconvenient penalty to be incurred? I know the number I would incur will not hamper my enjoyment of the game. During cooldown I have other…
I'm always saying at the beginning of Infected Space: "Don't take the Nanite Generators down below 10% until all four are at 10%!" On Cure Space, "Take out those BoP's on your way to the shipyards, I'll cover and heal the Kang." On Khitomer Accord Space, "You 4 head left, I'll cover the right gate, and stop those probes!"…
I'm just as confused as you right now in regards to that mission. But since I love to use the tactic of creating a new sub-plot in the stories I write that will leave my future readers/viewers/players wondering "what is going on?", I'm rolling with it. It opens the door for a more sinister Devidian plot, more intricate…
Another option would involve an episode that create chaos in the Collective, in the way Hugh's ruturn created chaos to the cube that picked him up. (See links to relevant TNG episodes below) I could see such an event being caused by the Romulans at the insistance of the Iconians. We players would be like Locutus or Lore,…
Intersting concept adabisi; two sets of punishment, one for Normal and one for Elite. If you want harsh penalies for Elite STF's, than my proposal should fit the bill. I could work on a reduced penalty system for Normal that would include reduced lockout times by 50%, require double the infractions to get suspended, and…
I've got a Tac Esscort that is my prime ship. (Soon to upgrade to a Fleet Refit). I also run a: Star Cruiser that is a Shield buster with 5 Tachyon Arrays, a Tachyon Bank, plus Fore and Aft Har'Pengs. Mirror Star running Polaron and Chronitons. Mirror Assault Cruiser that runs Diisruptors and Transphasics (Working on…
My friends and I have talked about what we'd do with funds for Zen when they become available and keys are on the list. So, even those of us who plan on buying keys in the future but are currently unable to would like to see this.
I still use my Tac Esscort, a Captain's level ship, as my primary ship. With the right Bridge officer abilities and gear, a Tier 4 ship can push a Tier V up against the ropes and beyond.
The idea of a free respec token for F2P is great. The potential customer has proven the they find the game enjoyable, and tossing in that little freebie would help keep them around to become become a customer.
We take the game seriously because we take our time seriously. The need to replay a mission hundreds of times for a combination of loot and accolades can get frustrtating. This isn't a case of, "Oh I love this mission so much I want play it over and over and over and rage at anyone who #&@^$ it up!" :P It's a case of, -_-"…
