I agree, it is only fair. Seems like the changes are ok to me. Although, I am not optimistic that these changes will actually bring about 'balance' and may not actually bring about variety of builds, possibly just a new meta.
I run all the speed bonus I can pour on to get to the door as fast as possible. Then I floor it to the next thing, then the next. I have been fighting the main spinny thing and had it to 50% before the rest of the team showed up on one run. I couldn't care less whether they helped or not. They could all be AFKers and I…
Last time they ran the breach I started it on all my characters. I burnt out before the end and only completed it on a couple of them. I didn't even need the thing they were giving away with the dil and marks. It actually paid off this time. The previous voth tokens were never removed (and I didn't add them to the…
I'd like it if it had all the fleet stores in one place (major time saver but likely problematic for the devs) along with all recruit assignments, extra dil refining guy, and a security officer. Maybe even a doff assignment console for different sectors and/or clusters. I'd go there with all my characters every time I…
I just ran this on a couple of alts. It's quick enough but pretty much boring and the reward/time ratio is still bad. R/T ratio being poor is expected from Cryptic so, I can't really hold it against this event. They took out the only parts of the mission that were fun for me. I would have done something different with it.…
I dislike the tone of this point of view but I have to agree with it entirely. This can't be quoted enough. yep. Also, anyone remember when they were having a look at 'balancing' some of the queue rewards? The vault was left with a reward of 1 mark. Balancing is not in Cryptic's skillset but, in the end, we will have to…
I agree with this. I would add a modification though. If the queue waits for more than a certain amount of time, give the current number of players (even if its 1) a go without maximum players button.
I have the same type of issues as the OP. For every UI window I open I lose ~8FPS (power tray included). This also does not matter where I set the graphics settings. My system specs are far beyond what this game should need and with the fact I have no problem with the many other games I play, I conclude it is a problem…
this is the answer right here. Most problems with STO are solved by turning off and then either turning right back on or leaving it off until your issue is patched.
Yep certainly pretty but I had a similar experience to the OP and will not go back until I hear from a decent amount of players (not devs) that it is fixed. I even prefer BZs to queues but I also prefer fun to frustration.
I would like the ability to auto-fire some abilities. Currently I don't use any macros, I just click the abilities I need to cycle and/or fire. With this playstyle I have absolute control of my ship but I also HAVE to control everything on my ship. This leads to paying a large portion of my attention to the skill tray…
I use Steam only because I play many other games, they have good sales, I have friends I keep up with on there, and STO is the only PWE game I care to play. That said, if you play many PWE games you can earn zen with arc quests. I feel that Steam is altogether superior in form and function(for a game launcher/updater) and…
"We believe that the Star Trek Online community of captains will show adaptability and cleverness that even the Tzenkethi will not be ready for." So, FAW? I'm sure whatever they got can be FAW'd down. They are all nice looking ships. The battleship is nearly exactly what I pictured they would fly after seeing the blog on…
here you go, from memory alpha: (ash352 provided a link earlier) The Tzenkethi have never been seen on-screen. It was unclear if they were a humanoid race or not. The pronunciation of their species' name was "TSEN-keth-i" ("ts" as in "tsar"). [1] Robert Hewitt Wolfe said, in December 2006, that he thought he had named the…
I see many minor bugs every time I log in. Nothing game breaking and all of them are easy to ignore. Some of them can be annoying if I pay too much attention to them. They do diminish the game somewhat but on the whole the game does work well where it really needs to.
For accuracy, be sure you are in system space (like outside ESD) to look at your ship stats. Ship stats are not accurate in sector space or on the ground. As far as ship shields go, each ship has a shield modifier stat. A generalization of this is sci ships has the best shields and escorts the worst. So, the same shield…
I pick my ships based a bit on liking the ship and a bit on performance. I was mildly upset with the t6 sov stats but I bought it and still use it because I can use the many different options to make a good looking ship. Besides, any t5/t6 ship in this game can be made to perform reasonably well in all content.
