    Hmmm you know it's funny that this started happening around the same time all the ISPs have been forced to spy and manipulate ips...

    My launcher is on the screen, but its not letting me do anything.

    PMSL, I dont beleave it!!!!!:eek: Just tried to log in and its started!!!! :D Its slow patching but at least i have it up and running.:P Will keep you all posted!!!!

    Nice ... I'm new to STO, first day, awesome, today without access unless i route my machine traffic via office's VPN.

    From my point of view, STO was 50% of time down :D

    could it be that soo many ppl trying to load launcher at same time and update is why the update is stalling!?

    im in but only at the patching page, for me its not even patching slowly like others have said, bummer

    i think ill go to bed and try the patch tomorrow . . . hopefully everyone will be doing it at slow speeds now so i can do it quickly tomorrow :D

    It's saying "Connecting" ... I hear this in the Eve Online girls voice.

    Launcher style is pretty important. Cryptic should learn this.
    An appealing launcher actually makes a game better in stressfull situations like this. :P

    So, it appears that things are beginning to come back on track.

    Well, the launcher now loads, but it's not patching. This is probably due to the load/utilisation.

    But, once it finally downloads, what can we expect from Cryptic with regards to the lack of service, and the very large lack of notification?

    I believe that we are entitled to compensation for this. I would like to hear from the company without their usual 4-day delay.

    I was able to login, but the lag is horrible. So I'd say it's NOT working (intended or otherwise). Let's hope we see a fix tonight.

    yeah I actually have already managed to download the patch... but don't get too excited once you download the patch and get to the point where you are supposed to be on the character select screen... the game just appears to freeze at a localization patch or something like that. I am currently on a black screen that states the following:

    Patching 1 File, X bytes/s
    Version: ST.25.20130105a.21

    So I basically am in the game itself, but I am in the middle of patching the character select screen or something and it is taking for bloody ever.

    My launcher splashes on the screen, and the only thing it says is, "Loading". I cannot do anything else.
