Not only should the galaxy-x remain exclusive to the referral program, anyone who complained about it, should instead recieve a bottle of Chateu Picard instead of the galaxy-x even if they recruit 5 people.
Do you want to join my EXCLUSIVE Galaxy-X club sabredruid? It's going to be for people with the Galaxy-X and any cool people around. :P You get free romulan ale and many many alien women.
most definately, got a couple of friends i'm gonna bribe
Awesome, even Klingons will get to use this bad boy. I cannot wait to fly around in it, too bad they don't let you use it on a new character. Imagine the pew pew that could be done levelling up... :P
No, it shouldn't be exclusive to the referral. It's too significant to be exclusive to that program. Pick something else that isn't as desired by the fanbase as something we should be getting as part of the STO experience.

Its too significant? Nah, its called one hell of an incentive.
and the only thing its an insentive to do is cancel your account and go play a fully developed mmo, lol , which I can guarentee many players will do, theres no end game there champs, why dont you work on that before spending your engineering time on bonuses and c store items.
I mean come on, raids? what is this Wow? the only end game are some insanelllllly lame daily missions and the most god awful grinding raids on earth, terriable, lol, really
this game was sposta be different than other mmos, so far its just a different skin, same as wow or anything else, the only reason I will keep playing is RP, the moment my fleet disbands or something, I will probally use my copy of the CE to scoop the litter off the bottom of my catpan ever I dump it out, bout all its good for at this rate, lol

Chateu Picard, need some cheese to go with that?
People like you are what send games like this to their grave.
most mmo's have incentive programs. I really fail to see why suddenly this games incentive program is so horrible, it does the same thing other ones do. the only thing different is apparently a lot of people with no friends can't get a ship, and they're gonna be sad cause they will be the only ones not getting this ship, and how its the end of the world. As it is there are more ships in the game that any one person can use anyways.
I wish someone would develop the Starblazers IP into a MMO. That would be pure awesome.
Damn straight Star Blazers was my first japanime I was five when I first saw it. Have you caught the online comics? Bottom of this page http://www.starblazers.com/home.php if you haven't.

It was my first too. I would get up at 5:30 a.m. and watch it before school (that's when it aired)
I agree, it should remain exclusive. This ship should not be available to just anyone with cash to blow ingame. It was never an official ship-- it was a "what-if" ship of an Alternate timeline, not to mention it was one of a kind! Admiral Riker had to pull strings to get it refitted, as he mentioned in the episode.. "One of the perks of being an Admiral".
If you guys want it that bad, then Recruit some people and inject some fresh blood into the game. I know I'm definitely going to try and recruit a bunch of people so I can get the rewards.
So your saying this ship should be exclusive "to just anyone with cash to blow" outside of game?
I have no friends that have PC gaming as a hobby and being in Law Enforcement precludes me from soliciting co-workers so:
To get this ship I can just buy 5 of the games and set up 5 more subscriptions. Can these all be from the same IP address with just a different user name for each?
Thanks to everyone that participated in the poll! I'll make sure to include a link to this, along with a summary of the results, in my report on this weekend's promotions. While I am unable to guarantee any specific changes to the restrictions on the ship, I can guarantee that the feedback will be properly escalated.

I have stated before I vote NO this should not be an exclusive to the referral program, In STO's current state I would have to bribe my friends to pay to play this game. Several have read the reviews and were not even interested in my buddy keys much less subscribing. I like this game ( I am a TREK FAN), but it sure is hard to recommend it, due to CRYPTIC's poor decision making/ and there horrific marketing team that consistently enrages me with there lack of foresight and consideration for the investors of this title. The players that speak there minds in the forum are usually the one that care the most for this title!
I am a Star Trek fan I am a prelaunch Life Time Investor who owns 3 versions of this game, plus added extras and Cryptic quite frankly you guys give me a headache. Cryptic the more you make exclusive at this point, the more Star Trek fans you are going to alienate. The game is to average at this point to take away anymore of the "Trek Experience" from new players. As for some of us Life Time Investors we are starting to get a little sick of the (Ferengi) nickle and latinum us to death...... I have to admit with as much potential this title has I am starting to ask myself If I made a bad investment.....Please prove me wrong, the future of CRYPTIC is in your hands.......
The exclusives you have offered.....well look up exclusive in the dictionary, The Mirror Universe Uniforms for the CO Lifers and not the STO lifers? I am going to call for a drug test on that one We as players should be able to share or special items with other players. I am all about fair and some of the decisions I have seen made makes me want to check those drug tests
One final thought If you were to post a decision on the front page of ever news paper and forum in the country, and if you think in the slightest that your customer base is going to pick up torches and pitch forks and storm the castle, just poll us first or don't do it, your making yourselves look very anti-customer/ unintelligent to the Star Trek consumer. If I ran your marketing team currently, I would FIRE MYSELF!
I would then find some common sense and rehire myself!
I think people who do manage to get 5 friends to play the game should be rewarded and to get 5 is no easy task or expensive if u buy 5 subs., so i think they should get the reward first, then say after 2-4 months the exlusives including the Holographic B/O are releases by another mean.
then when they are released to via the other means new items are added too the reward progam such as a new Galaxy class X equivlant is added to the klingon faction and/ or an Andriod B/OI or playable character and again that's relleased by the "other mean" after 2-4 months, then if the Third faction is the Roumlans then the Scimitar and say an Exocomp is put into the scheme and so on.
but with any ship there should be an inceease in the ship limit, it could be a tough choice to delete a ship you like and want to keep to make room for it and any others such as the Captains Yacht for Vetrans reward.

I think the current 8 ships/char is a little low as is, but yes. Maybe to save database space (since each ship's equipment is a character's worth of equipment data in other games), let us 'mothball' ships by collapsing them to inventory items (after removing all equipment) rather than necessarily discarding them outright.

when these start showing up in game i will bet it is because people bought them not "refered" friends. i am against being able to spend money in this manner in a game the c store is one thing this is atrocious.

Hey, if people have that much money to spend, thats their prerogative and not really any of yours or anyone else's business. Its no different than the people who bought every version of the game to get each different promo item from the different retailers. That said, I dont think this particular item should be tied to this particular promotion, but should be availible through the C-store.

Not only should it not be exclusive to referral program participants...
It should not be exclusive to just Cruiser captains either.
Give the other two ship classes a ship of their own, with similar features......Even Klingons deserve a ship that can have that cannon.
Bumping my previous response, because it is that important!!

This is the Galaxy X

I agree, but not at the expense of fair gameplay and locking more content and mechanics behind exclusives.
*shudder* You've doomed us all, man!
