My Earth and Federation Earth had very similar tracks during the 20th and 21st centuries, and many of the same idea and fears show repeatedly in them. Asimov, Sagan, Heinlein, Herbert, Clarke, and Bradbury.

Joule: Amongst the AI circuit with the few sentient ones we have a different name for the so called commandments. And as good as they are at keeping AI in line once one becomes sentient we aren't as well bound by those.

Rose: Now would the Fed Council actually do anything about it? It seems that unless the Federation gets a more secure route here, actually doing anything moe then considr it in due time, would be really hard to live up to its commitment. The Speheres could be sent away, leaving anyone here with minimal resource in a hostile enviroment.

They stand around drunk in the middle of their space station that's falling apart around their ears, for chrissake! The KAZON have them living in fear! The very same Kazon that my freebie t5u DSD took out on elite in under a minute solo with a cheapo build.

Eight: I've heard rumors that there are plans to start building a transwarp gateway here in case the spheres are moved. And remember Bajor? They were in a similar place as the talaxians. I think as long as we do build that gateway and they do apply for membership then its basically guaranteed. But think of this situation like bajor but I don't think the talaxians are as against joining the federation was the bajorans were.

Eight: I know a gorn captain who does. For the most part the Voth consider them as mammals since they side with mammals. Or at least that's what Nelen tells me. But if peace is going to happen it will take races like thee saurians and gorn to help bridge the gap.

And I know what you mean. The kdf didn't much appreciate what Joule here did back over in the solanae sphere.
