So what I figured out was that when I went from an older version of php to a new version, it killed an old library file which was poorly written and no longer maintained. I rewrote portions of code, however, upon testing, I have determined that Perfect World Entertainment is now blocking ICMP ping requests on the west…

Yeah, so, I'm actually working on it right now. I had too much going on including leaving to Japan. I'm attempting to fix it right now. I'll hopefully have it fixed within so many hours. Edit: Fell asleep. I'm still working on it. I may have to go back to the old version within the next few days until I can make the auto…

I was running maintenance when the server went down in January. Right now, I'm switching the hosting provider for my server and to get everything back up and running will take a few days. Things should run better with this new host. Of course, that's what I like to tell myself anytime this kind of thing happens. Edit…

This is the upper limit of a 32-bit executable. PWI is not 64-bit software and can not access address space outside of this range. This is nothing to be concerned with really, as PWI never takes advantage of that kind of space anyways. It barely uses the GPU.

So my server kept adding seconds every day for months and was 17 minutes into the future. I've just re-synced it with the world clocks and hopefully it won't pull this again. I should also note that I no longer play PWI or any games for that matter (no time), but I have no plans of removing this and will keep it running as…

My picture above updates every minute or so with fresh stats on the server status. Sweetiebot no longer exists.

Apparently my server's backup system was running astray eating up server space and caused the cronjob for updating the server time to gracefully fail. I will have it resolved shortly.

You may want to get a better wireless NIC. Specifically, one that's installed into a PCI or PCIe slot if possible, but if not, then one by Hawking Tech. I get better speeds over wifi than wired nowadays. I get downloads of 150-160Mb/s and uploads of 13-15Mb/s. Which is about right because that's the speeds I have. My wired…

This likely has nothing to do with Windows 10. The keywords are: "black screen", "can't alt+tab", "hard reboot" These symptoms are typically caused by hardware issues. Edit: On very rare occasion it could be a software driver issue. Like the recent AMD Crimson drivers that were cooking people's GPUs because the fan was…

I repair computers for a living. Black screens are most typically produced by overheated CPUs (like 90% of the time). PSUs that don't have enough energy to keep up can also cause this. GPUs can cause this when they are failing. GPUs can also cause this when they're overheating as well, although most of the time those will…

You can send in a ticket directly using this email address: customerservice@perfectworld.com On a side note: I have no issues accessing the ticket system or charge. I'm going to assume there was an issue a few hours ago that has since been fixed.

Very glad to hear it's running again. I sure hope this doesn't happen again. To answer your question: yes, Windows 10 system files became corrupted. I start suspecting that when nothing else works. "sfc /scannow" is usually a last resort to check whether or not it's true. @sylenthunder Thanks for getting all of the other…

Those log files provided nothing useful. PW fails at logging data before a crash. "glb_HandleException" stands for "global exception handler", which means all crashes of this sort are just unlogged. Bunch of geniuses... I'm not big on touching PCs remotely, as it makes me very uncomfortable. Would you mind listing exactly…

Yeah, the message is nonsensical. There probably are invisible characters in the UTF-8 error I can't see and thus can't replicate that would make the GBK or BIG5 output completely different. That's a good question. I wonder if they attempt to detect the difference between traditional and simplified and thus rendered the…

Hmm, interesting. That was a strange result. The black background part anyways. Sometimes when DirectX is not functioning as expected or a game is instantly crashing, I've had luck opening it with DxWnd forcing the DirectX version. So, as far as I can tell, there is something possibly more serious going on. Not so much…

Notes/Suggestions about what I've noticed from the Speccy report. Some of it is random and others may be related to the problem. 1) AutoKMS - How interesting. It looks like you're using a pirated version of MS Office. If you're going to do illegal things, remember to cover it up at least. I'm only telling you this for your…

I wonder if the client only reads the first byte or two of the GPU memory size header. That would explain the 0 at least. Regardless, the GPU has nothing to do with this issue.

My site's down right now (because I'm switching to a better service) otherwise I'd point you to my program "Arc XP" to see if it could start PWI up with Arc, but instead I'll just link to this other post I made: (click here) Try to run the game manually, how I suggest there. Now, about the Direct X error message. It would…

I played Malaysian PW for a while before PWI even opened. All servers were PvP. I saw high level players come to low level areas to wipe out all low level white names to get their name red on a frequent basis. That was not fun and it distracted from what I was trying to accomplish. That's why when PWI came out and it had…

Considering the popularity of -mobas-, I don't believe this is true at all (even though I personally do prefer PvE). However, in my opinion, the pure PvP servers sucked. All I saw were people who sunk lots of money into the game killing people who didn't. That's not PvP.
-
Yes, maybe. This is just a guess as the information provided is not nearly enough for real analysis. 1) There was a very high packet drop rate between you and PW for a period of time resulting in packets being unable to reach PWI and vice-versa. 2) The server didn't register you as having disconnected and had an open…

Try flushing your DNS, as the cached path to the servers might be bad, by opening up command prompt and entering this...ipconfig /flushdns Also make sure to run verify 3 times as has been expressed many times before; because verify doesn't catch problems until you run it a few times for some reason. Short of that,…

Can't tell if you're serious or not because of that emoji, but I'll say it anyways. WB is Warebeast, which is Barbarian in this verison. It comes from the horrible Malaysian translation version of the game. For some reason however, people refused to adapt to the translation of this version even though it's a lot better.

Sylen, I know this error because when I was making my "Arc XP" program, this problem occurred. The reason for this error is that the game is not being launched from its directory. It tries to use relative paths from the launch location instead of relative paths from "elementclient.exe" causing this issue to happen. As an…

Open up the task manager and close any instances of PWI (elementclient.exe) you have running. Then try to run the update again. The "Unable to proceed update" message usually appears when PWI is running. If doing this does not resolve the problem, press the "Verify" button on the patcher.

There was a minor issue in the global fixes CSS which the PWVE uses. I've fixed it so it should fix this problem for Firefox.

It's not on purpose. A number of custom gaming laptops I've seen from clients have on-board intel GPU and then a separate nViidia card. A reoccurring problem I've seen is how the drivers were installed that causes issues. Basically, with these, you have to install the intel card drivers first followed by the nVidia ones in…

The game does not utilize the GPU, it only uses the CPU. Filtering is the only thing done through the GPU.

@tictic99999 That addon is one of the currently incompatible addons and may actually be removed. Those addons were because posts in the old theme were very awkward looking. These new posts look decently nice to me. I may design replacements, but I want to do some brand new themes first since trying to edit the previous…

I use @media queries to create responsive layouts since Google dings websites for not having proper mobile versions now. 1200px width and 960px width are the standard sizes I design to which fit 95% of people. I'm also now experimenting designing for smart watches which have an ultra tiny resolution.
