This is bound to cause problems for the support folks, when they change the requirements for the event again (as they often do), and suddenly a bunch of players can't find which of their characters are Delta recruits to complete the new objectives. This, of course, means there'd need to be a way to turn it back on, which…
That blog entry seemed to me to imply that there wouldn't be a new tutorial (with its "it is up to you to tell their tale") -- which was, of course, later confirmed prior to the event's launch. I'm not sure what part of that made you think there would be.
Thanks. I looked there after logging in and don't see it. It's also not under "Promotions." I've also noticed the game immediately crashes when launched from the Epic Launcher (even after two clean installs), so I wonder if what's causing that crash is the same thing that's supposed to be unlocking it for me.
Not to get even further off the subject, but this is completely untrue. In fact, if you look at the "In Progress" mission log, it will tell you exactly where to go to find a Tholian captain: in the Transdimensional Tactics TFO, and it does count. I believe there may have been issues with this the very first time it popped…
In case it helps with the debugging and fixing this issue, which has been breaking this mission for a really long time, the object in question that's embedded in the wall is only an objective for Tactical captains. The ones you need for Science and Engineering captains don't have the same problem.
This bums me out. Being able to externally buffer chat has been really valuable for fleet issues, spotting missed messages, and a whole lot of other things. Has any consideration been made into keeping some sort of external output from chat, if not input? And I admit I have a hard time believing gold spammers spend…
There's no reason to think the ships won't have Discovery skins. Every Discovery-era ship released so far has them -- and it'd be a level of ridiculous even beyond the most ridiculous Cryptic standards to leave Discovery skins off Discovery-era ships.
As a Discovery fan, I picked this one up on the first go-round. I'd echo what others have said. It's an OK ship, but definitely not a good one. The tac consoles are lacking, the boff layout isn't great (I mean, you pretty much have to go Tac with the universal slot if you want any kind of stopping power at all), and it…
My only complaint about FGOI is the pile-up at the start. Is there really a good reason multiple people can't start at the same time? Especially toward the beginning of the event, there's always a mad dash to the starter to try to get your place on the course first.
Are you asking if you can use a T6 Crossfield on a Discovery captain? The answer to that is yes -- as long as that captain is leveled up enough to use T6 ships.
The Walker is no longer available in the 23rd Century -- you can't get it until you hit ESD. In another thread, someone from Cryptic explained that the tutorial includes everything up to ESD, and you can't get the ship until after the tutorial. There wasn't an explanation for why skipping the tutorial apparently drops you…
Same here. Started a new Discovery character today (well, two, trying to figure this out), and I used to be able to pick up the ship right after receiving "Secrets." Now I can't. Tried once with the tutorial, and once skipping it, with the same result. If the answer is to wait until I'm at ESD, I'll do that... but it's a…
Unless I'm reading it wrong, it's not +30 to all subsystems, it's +30 total, split across all subsystems. If that's the case, it's not really that much of a bonus -- though the extra console is sort of a big deal.
Wait 'til you get a look at what it's escorting. That ship is obscenely huge. Not just for an escort, but for anything. Someone forgot their decimal point.
I'm seeing the same thing here. The last few costumes I've saved are not available for reloading, even on the same character, and even with the "Outfit Only" box checked. It's not just you.
I suspect "most of us are running Windows 10 and card Supporting DX12" is pretty far from reality. I have a hard time believing "most of us" have a video card that's only a year old. And, well, have you seen the graphics in this game? Who cares if it uses DX12 -- this stuff is pretty old, and it shows, even with the new…
So, you expect to be paid to report bugs? OK. When I report them it's so... well, so my game works (and, coincidentally, other people's too, but that's just a nice unintended side effect). If you want to "go on strike" until you get paid to report bugs, go for it. Someone else will do it for you for free.
Plasma doping hasn't been a thing for a while. In any case, this whole nerf idea seems to be based on the top DPS charts. Why would anyone even care about the numbers on a chart? Yes, it's possible with a really good build and the right circumstances in one particular STF to get big numbers. So? Has the person suggesting…
