To be fair PvP used to be about timing and skill. There are many consoles and abilities that facilitate a “1-shot” kill in PvP through shields. The warhead console is not one of them.
Your build is not PvP focused at all and you give the impression that you have very little experience with PvP in terms of tactics and combat. Also, rocking up to a match with equipment bellow mk12 is a big no no. Try a drake build to start with or A2B, they're good solid builds and will help you get some skill under your…
Yes I understand that, but I can quite often keep up with pilot ships on my t5u Defiant, phantom and valiant. But I still get taken out. It's due to the combination of immunities, temporal spec and traits. Cryptic needs to grow a pair, split PvP and PvE and create separate stats so that it becomes less about the gear and…
Lol @repetitiveepic. No. No man's sky is/was a scam, star citizen will be in alpha 3.0 next month and have more features than no man's sky and elite dangerous. It's cheaper too.
Cryptic needs to separate PvP gear from PvE gear. They need to prevent players from stacking 5 universal consoles and running around with no hull boosting consoles and still be invincible. The specialisation tree should be reduced in effectiveness by 50% as well as all traits and sets. At the moment players can devote…
For the Klingon faction to get as much development as the Fed faction. Romulans as a separate faction. The return of good PvP. Cut out all the cheese and PvP about skill rather than traits and OP consoles.
Yeah but I PvP so buffing in the right order and in quick succession is vital. Which would be easy to do with the mouse if the UI registered clicks properly and quickly.
I do and I don't like it. 1. It never reacts quickly enough because of the lag. 2. When I click on multiple buffs in quick succession it doesn't even activate half of them because of lag. I used to have macros but I got a new Pc and they got reset.
The PvE community has a massive effect on the PvP community. It's thanks to you that DPS FAW and flying in circles is a thing. It's gameplay that you call boring, want changed and yet you fight every action to make sto combat require more skill to stop idiots taking advantage of it with their wallets. In my opinion the OP…
I've suggested something like this before, optional PvP mode where the player can choose to be in a state where they can be attacked by other players anywhere and if they were in sector space they'd drop out into the nearest system where a distress call would be sent front hat system to the factions. The response I got…
Still don't understand why no one does it. Better rewards, it favours PvE builds and there's literally no time to PvP. Wait I know. PvEers can't handle being blown up by a core.
Well @koppster I don't run current PvP meta and I'd love to queue up for core assault elite but it seems that PvEers think that you'll fight tougher players, which is ridiculous if you think about it, in elite so no one dares to enter the queue. Even though the time limit makes PvP next to impossible.
Then perhaps it's time to stop using DPS as a measuring bar because it's a useless statistic that only applies to the small minded who like to stroke their e-peen and don't like to play with others (especially in PvP). All this talk of science being "behind tactical in DPS" and yet it's the most powerful class in PvP by a…
I can just about get away from a tykens 1 or 2 and that is on the off chance that no one notices I'm caught in it. I have to hit EPtE1 (if it's available), APO (if it's available) and evasive with a bit of BFI. Having said that, once my power is drained, all someone has to do is sneeze on me to take me out because I'll…
Cheese needs to be given disadvantages. Used to be you had to sacrifice hull or science consoles that made you a bit tougher to carry cheese. Now it's a trait. If PvP became about skill the trolls would think twice about running cheese and staying decloaked or they'd just leave.
@coldnapalm, I'd love to shut idiots up and I still kinda do thanks to the nerfs. Having an imbalanced game makes it extremely difficult. In season 8.5 it was easy because skill meant a lot more than it does now. To fix this, the PvE community needs to keep calm and quiet when a balance nerf is called for especially with…
@coldnapalm imbalanced gameplay mechanics and systems create a breeding ground for trolls with daddy's wallet who dont have a lot of skill and just want to give someone a hard time with the least amount of effort. It was the PvE community who facilitated that environment by demanding the game be made easier, to be given…
I've managed to get advanced going fairly regularly with only a 5 minute wait. Players are only doing normal because they think it'll make things easier but you can't change the difficulty level of other players so why not just jump into elite and take a standard PvE build!? The only thing to worry about is the timer on…
