Ooh, I'll be putting my plasma weapons on my Nebula and breathe fire if I ever see you, then. I can't imagine a ship without hazard emitters for that simple purpose ever surviving in PvP unless you've got some ridiculous level of passive hull regen.
All of those supermans, batmans, homer simpsons, etc don't PvP and don't TRIBBLE people off. You do. You're high on the radar of people who are sore losers and like to watch the world burn when they don't win. Superman McExchange Guy sitting on ESD and doing an STF every few days isn't.
I think, looking at the Nukara reputation, that I'm finally ready to call it quits on "Grind Trek". To put it shortly, the reputation system in its current form is an insult. It's an alright concept, but it's just... poorly done. I have five characters I maintain. Two science ground characters for PvP (1 Fed, 1 KDF), one…
I will not be bothering. I'm bringing one last character up to 50, doing the reputation on it, then quitting reputations forever on all new characters.
I manually activate my distribute shield power these days as I broke my last keyboard's spacebar. Seems to work just as effectively. It might work, and my initial build was TS1/DPB1. I figured if I was under heavy fire I could just stop distributing my shields and spin around to let my shields get eaten, but after some…
I've heard wonderful things about sticking two beam arrays on the back of an escort and using FAW II against a drain carrier. Usually kills the pets before they get too close.
Because sometimes it's just too damn fun trolling people who have anger issues. Like swords/stasis pistols. I don't use them except on one person that I know is going to freak out and start yelling in zone chat.
I've decided that since I'm a poor TRIBBLE and I don't have 400m EC to spend, and the likely upcoming importance of cloak detection, to go with a Fleet Nebula. This is the build I've started on: http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/?build=kipscishutdown_1240 I'll try out Aux2Bat at first, since I have a few purple…
Ah ha! That explains it! That explains why everyone rage whispers me after matches saying I cheat and hack, but can't tell me how I was doing it when asked. Because I'm the only one NOT hacking! It's so clear now!
I'm aware. :P Most FvK space battles I'm in that AREN'T 15-0 stomps either way (which, I'd say is about 70% of them) range from 15-6 to 15-13. Those I'll agree are definitely fun. There's something about it though, turning a cloaker's alpha strike against them, killing them before they can escape and get their cloak back…
What are you talking about, I love FvK space. Sending those dogs running back to Qonos is fun. ...when I'm paired up with people who actually know what they're doing, that is...
Don't worry, the test reward will probably be another dumb tribble that boosts a ground stat that's broken and not working properly, like the past few.
So because I haven't spent 120 million EC on purple consoles to fill the junk science slots on my ship, I am now barred from elite STFs which I already demolish with flying colours. Yep, I too support your dumb idea.
I haven't really looked at it, but I think all of those trait/racial boosts to stealth detection only effect you once you've used something that boosts your perception past zero points, which everyone has all the time until they use Target Optics or Tricorder Scan. Even then, if you were to stack all of the +perception…
Battle cloak is not letting you murder people easily, people being bad is letting you murder people easily. Most alpha strike kills are over before your cloak is even off of cooldown, so I can't imagine that's helping you in any way. I can't even remember the last time I've lost 1v1 to a bird of prey unless they were a Sci…
No it won't. The Federation players with access to their new romulan battlecloaks will wonder why they keep getting destroyed and disabled when they try to cloak within 3km of their target. They will whine and complain that the Klingon cloaks are still superior, even the Romulan cloaks on the Klingon side. And then science…
There already is friendly fire in ground pvp, it's called the ghostbuster. If I had a dollar for every time I've been killed by my own team... But yes please. Give us friendly fire in STFs, too. If someone isn't performing well, I want to show them that the borg are nothing compared to me >:O
I've been using Delta ever since I jumped into space pvp. Maybe it's cause I'm too lazy to train my bridge officers every day, but I've noticed the jump in survivability in STFs. I haven't really had much experience with its cloak reduction capabilities as I rarely get into premades that go into the FvK space queues (going…
Are you sure that's a wise suggestion, considering the lead developer doesn't even... Eh, I better watch it. But I think you have an idea. Sad to see you go, dude. But good luck out there doctorin' it up! Come back and buy us keys with your newfound wealth!
The only reason I'll agree that they should hold LoR back is so that they can take an extra month to develop fleet holdings and spend a few days figuring out pvp queues/maps, which seems to be the ONLY two things stopping a proper, independent Romulan faction.
What are the details behind this? I've only found one new hairstyle for females so far (tested on a human). It's a neat design from the front/sides but looks quite atrocious from behind. Have textures been updated elsewhere for other styles, or are they mostly exclusive to romulans?
I like how the science kit is garbage. Makes playing my ground sci a bit less hairbrained. I've basically run out of places to put my keybinds for my tac who uses the romulan fire team kit, so I had to use F3 of all keys to bind motion accelerator. If they ever come out with a good science kit with a fifth ability on it,…
Generally, from my experience, these are the people who don't care. These are the people who will not get better. Showing them numbers will do nothing for those who need help the most, and stroke the egos of the people who need it the least.
