It's all my fault. I sent one of new purple doffs on a mission to sabotage networks, not realizing how literal he was going to be with the mission. My old doffs would just have done what I asked while going out for coffee. My goof.

I suspected they were going to do this because Pike was probably the greatest thing that has happened concerning Discovery. The show was okay, but his introduction to the show really blew me away. I hope they don't overdue it and keep him as he was, being the great character he was.

Pretty sure you get it for one of the first missions where you rescue the Azura (might be the second mission, if I remember correctly).

It was a free gift out of nowhere. I'm grateful for it and think highly of them for actually doing it in the first place. They didn't have to do it, but they did, and everyone is capable of benefiting, EVEN if all you took was the vanity shield.

What bothers me about this mission is that you don't actually start to get any experience until the latter part of it, meaning you're pew pewing for quite some time before you ever start to actually get any credit for anything you do.

I suspect this will kill admiralty for most people. Fed and Romulan don't really have a huge incentive to finish 10 of 10, which always left Klingon and Ferengi. The only positive to this is that every now and then I'll have gathered up a bunch of traits I hadn't realized and am able to update it when my traits are gone from a weird publish.

I'm thinking it's a bug because I couldn't get rid of the dreadnought endeavor no matter what I did yesterday. Finally just gave up on it. I couldn't complete it either, no matter how many dreadnoughts I killed in numerous TFOs and battlegrounds. It was really frustrating.
