Indeed they did, months ago. I assume they've forgotten and so I, generous soul that I am, intend to remind them periodically, so as to make their job easier. I'm altruistic like that.
I am indeed referring to the ground specialization, and I'm aware of the workaround. However, having to do a workaround to make it work, is the very definition of it "not working."
So, I contacted support, they told me this is a known issue. It also has been happening for over a year. Put those two together, and draw your own conclusions.
You should post this in bug reports. Like, once a week. Make a new thread every week saying the same thing. I mean heck, look at Juggernaut Shielding. They acknowledged that it doesn't work months ago and STILL haven't bothered to fix it.
STO would actually be a lot better if it would just drop the Star Trek license. It's actually an okay space combat sim. If it had an original IP and wasn't shackled to Star Trek I think it'd be better off, PLUS then you could have a Star Trek game that was just clicking through endless streams of text, for those who want…
Actually, no, this isn't true. Cryptic breaks things in the hopes that it annoys everyone, and results in unsatisfied customers (but only just so). Seriously. See, satisfied customers are done. They're satisfied, which by definition means they don't want anything else. Cryptic (and every other freemium company out there)…
Sort of. The situational response you mentioned is the exception. For example, as an E-6 myself I am empowered to issue any order I deem fit to any E-1 through E-5 I see, and furthermore to override and countermand any orders they may have already been given from an E-5 or lower. That said, the orders I would be giving…
The logic there certainly makes sense. I mean, it wouldn't make any sense at all if the way ship traits worked was that you only needed the ship they're on to unlock the trait and then you can use it on any ship you want, because that would completely invalidate the logic you posted there, but that'd just be crazy talk.
Well, I'm not going to NOT play as a race with a tail in any given game, regardless of how bad. That's just not an option. :D That said though, the Christmas hat argument makes sense, but is flawed because they clearly don't care. For example, the Risian sunglasses on Caitian characters. They clearly don't have a problem…
Yeah. Maybe it's just me, but my philosophy when it comes to game design is OPTIONS. The problem too many game developers have, is that they think they know what's fun. They don't. They only know what they think is fun. The fact of the matter is, the only person who knows that your player wants to play, is the player. So…
Nope. Whoever goes first has their opponent spawned, and gets the countdown, but is immediately disqualified. Whoever goes last, gets ported to the race, and has no opponent/root at the start of the mission. So, people wait until they see someone wave, and then immediately hit F and they will be the ones to get the race.…
I'll be honest, I troll a lot on STO. I definitely speak my mind far more plainly and openly than I do on other games, and frequently mess around and say stupid stuff. Why? Because I know there will be zero response for it, and because the game is already a cesspool anyway. I feel absolutely confident that I can say/do…
I remember all that. I've been around since beta. Frankly, it was a good change, although I think it's silly that they actually REMOVED options from the tailor for it.
Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but I'm not going to sugar-coat it...you don't need any certain traits slotted to beat this. You're just really, really bad at it. No joke, you can literally beat the race, with plenty of time to spare, by walking. You don't even have to sprint.
Wait, you considered that response an "answer"? That was a political response! It was a lot of words that said absolutely nothing! "Hi, yeah, we have some people that'll do something about it REAL soon." That's a politician's response.
I'd like to see some more carrier stuff, so I can have a full suite of fighter T6 traits. Also I'd love to see fluffy traits. So Undine ones (yes, yes, I know, but the ships are already in the game so might as well let us go full fluffy with them), or Borg-themed ones, or Jem'Hadar, or heck, even Ferengi. Things that are…
These don't exist. ALL ship traits are T6. That's the whole point, to force people to buy new ships. Why do you think they left those off from Neverwinter?
Doesn't Cryptic have a standing policy of "once something is released never update it, even if it's only half done"? You know if they would let us play as dinosaurs with laser guns like in the craptastic Star Trek movie game, that would actually be pretty boss. :P
