Ok, for something completely different.
Breen now has Warship (cruiser), Raider (escort) and Carrier (+ Science)
Summer currently has an escort and a cruiser. What do you think the new ship will be?
I am betting on a "research vessel (Vulcan-like theme) on the Science side. How about you.

Whatever it's called, something science themed.
Corvette is an Escort; Cruiseliner is a Cruiser.
If all things were balanced and fair: I'd expect an Eng-Heavy Science Vessel.. perhaps with a detachable shuttle pet that can also be obtained(for ton of Favors).
That said, I'm expecting yet another tac-heavy flavor of the month, or maybe something related to a new boff specialization(like morale officer or something).
Either way, odds are it will be different from whatever they're doing for the Anniversary(which is probably due for a tactical vessel of some sort).
"Tac (escort) carrier" with "Jet Ski" pets. This would also be in the Risa Resort theme.

Why not make the Eng-Heavy Sci Ship an 'Environmental Satellite' Controller/Deployment system.
Risa is known for its weather control satellites; they must have some manner of craft to maintain them. I imagine they could be used tactically to make all manner of nasty environmental hazards in space(perhaps a console akin to the Undine Rifts that continues to throw out nastiness).

But because it's a Risian Luxury Battleship Dreadnought Carrier Battlecruiser Science Vessel Liner, it will go like hotcakes. If throwing "Dreadnought" on a ship name makes it sell hot when it reality it isn't, imagine what you could do if you had all these terms in the ship name!

Only if the pool from the interior can launch swarms of Space Sharks with Phaser Lances and TS3 Neutronic Torpedoes.

Not gonna lie, I would fly this forever and fling jet skis at Borg cubes.
Also at Elachi ships, because **** Risians.
A orbital relaxation spa/restaurant/tourist trap converted into a Carrier.
Because if you can convert the Titanic into an Iowa Class Battleship in STO, you can convert a building into a Nimitz Class Carrier.
Maybe a console with a version of warp shadow or photonic fleet. Of the two I'd guess warp shadow and I'd guess it triggers a shared cool down with photonic fleet. Alternatively a placate that makes you look like an enemy ship.
For traits, both of the other risian ships have powers that encourage you to keep enemies nearby. So something that works with feedback pulse or charged burst would be my guess. Though a hologram boarding party would be fun. If it actually was allowed to work on things, unlike the real boarding party heh.
Wouldn't it have been nice if the game had 'adventures ' that allowed only certain classes of ships in for adventures? Sort of like the Shuttle missions but across the full ship line. That way destroyers could be destroyers and not top end warships with a different skin and slightly different abilities.
Likely way too much work. But it would be nice, ah to dream. Maybe another game will do it some day.

The Warships are destroyers with an extra weapon slot. They are not cruisers or battlecruisers.
Risian ships are not faction oriented .....
I'm also guessing they'll say "as an added bonus, you are able to use the T5-U Risian corvette skin with it!" And maybe add an exclusive ship material/paint job if you already own the T5-U Risian Corvette.
Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I'm banking on. They won't sincerely retire those ships, in my opinion.
