  • I kinda hope they count the time we've spent in the queue toward us getting the reward...it'd be nice, but I doubt it. ;-)
  • And...looks like my edit doesn't matter. After I got control of my account back, I was able to get into my account guard and found the IP the thief had authorized. Although this is a bit strange....just tried from a different browser on my laptop and yes, the account guard stopped it. So apparently I was incorrect, or it's…
  • The account guard doesn't even come into play. ** Decided to remove the details so as not to give anyone ideas. I've explained the process in my ticket and I'm sure the OP knows what I'm talking about. Bottom line is account guard only works if your account and your email address are not compromised. If the would be thief…
  • Same thing happened to me, it seems roughly an hour or two before it happened to the OP. It took them a day and a half to lock my account, by which time it was far too late. Then it took them another three days to unlock it once I verified my identity. I'm still waiting to see if they're going to restore all the stuff that…
  • Junk mk XI ground weapon which immediately fed the replicator.
  • I don't agree with the OP on this game being the best MMO. However the thread did get me thinking...where exactly would STO fall in my top list. I'm thinking it would probably rank somewhere around #6 or #7 on a top 10.
  • I too am playing much less than I used to. And unlike others, I can point to Season 7 as the reason. I used to login daily, run a few STF's and fleet missions with doff assignments inbetween while waiting on queues to pop. Contribute to fleet projects. Now since S7 with the reduction in dilithium availability, the long…
  • After 4 disconnects in less than 10 minutes, gonna go do something else. Hopefully cryptic will get their ducks in a row quickly.
  • I'm still waiting to see more of this reputation stuff on Tribble. From what I've seen so far however it's just a copy/paste job of the fleet grind. Given the 70+ pages of grief generated by the blog the other day, I'd really hope that Cryptic takes the hint and rethinks this entire reputation approach before pushing it to…
  • The problem is you're using the Dominion set. Which is most useful against Dominion forces and only marginally useful against anything else. The ground STF's (even the Elite versions) for the most part are pretty easy. From my own experience since beta, the ground portions aren't played as much not because they're…
  • What I'd like to see (since the lockboxes obviously aren't going to be going away) is that subscribed/lifetime accounts get <X> number of free unlocks a week/month. Free accounts over <Y> days old would get like 1 free unlock per week/month. And I say free unlocks, because if just master keys were handed out, they'd be…
  • No, as has been stated over and over again, a vote kick system would only open up the door to even more problems. It wouldn't solve anything.
  • I agree that something needs to be done about the "afk" leeches in STF's and Fleet events. What that something is however...personally I just can't think of a solution that would not lead to an even bigger problem. However as others have stated vote kicking isn't the solution. You'd see the innocent contributor getting…
  • We're not talking about the accidental breakage of one system by changes to another, which does seem to happen with virtually every patch they release. I'd love for that to not be the case so often. This particular release however isn't broken. It's not bugged. It was simply done with no apparent care as to the quality of…
  • There's absolutely no excuse for the misplaced picture frames, blurry fonts and pictures. It's like the dev responsible didn't even bother to look at his/her work. Pure laziness that cost us 200k dilithium. This sort of thing can not continue, the higher ups need to look at what management or processes allowed this sort of…
  • When Stahl (and a few others over the years) bragged on multiple occasions in interviews, posts, etc... how well they communicated with the community. That aside however, good communications between a game development team and the community that springs up around them is always much desired by the playerbase. However even…
  • I'd say that says more about the state of the economy than it does about Cryptic (or any single company for that matter).
  • Might wanna pick somewhere that isn't already packed normally. Say in orbit of Risa. Or better yet, on Risa...finally a reason to go. :P
  • The generics are also weighted toward the warfare specialists with a slightly lower rate for flight deck officers (these two are far more common than any other specialty). I normally buy 50 to 100 at a time and without a doubt a large percentage of them will be warfare specialists.
  • There's quite a few doffs and items as well that apparently slipped past quality control when it came time to check that the text matched what they did. Omega Force Hyper-Impulse Engine MK X/XI/XII for example. Text claims a 100% recharge time reduction to slipstream drive. Instead it gives a 50% reduction.
  • All of the above. It's not nearly as impenetrable as the description makes it out to be. It can be a useful ability under the right hands in the right situations, but it isn't a 100% beam/torp/mine/ability proof shield.
  • As much as I know there's a group of players who would like for Romulans to be a playable faction, I don't see it happening in this game. The way they've handled the Klingons should be a good example. And from what I've seen myself and read on the forums the Klingons normally experience long wait times for queues to fire.…
  • I think 40 proto salvage would be FAR too much. Maybe 80 EDC's, which would follow the existing pattern. 20 for mk X, 40 for mk XI. Considering it seems the drop rate on proto salvage is typically the same as the drop rate on the proto tech. More often than not, when I get a piece of proto salvage I also get whatever proto…
  • I had this happen to me twice in a row last Wed. Joined Cure Space Elite and mere seconds after loading into an already inprogress (failure), the Kang blows up and the entire mission fails. Couldn't have affected the outcome in the slightest if I wanted to. So mission fails and I had to wait the hour lockout to try again.
  • Typically in that case, the one with the least lag or RL distractions.
  • When I first read the blog I thought it was a joke. That this could seem like a worthwhile idea to a single developer, let alone pass through whatever approval process is needed...it's just...there are no words for how sloppy/lazy of an idea this is. Seriously, let's just skip this one and move onto whatever next month's…
  • I've seen a few VA's go in and sit at the spawn idle, apparently hoping the rest of the team will do the work and earn the marks for them. I've also seen lower levels doing that. So not only are they depriving the team of another VA just by being there and nerfing the loot, by not even participating they're denying the…
  • Well, they seem to be back up. Still missed a large chunk of the bonus period however. The devs should give us a 24 hour period of bonus fleet marks. :-)
  • Was working fine for me about 40 minutes ago. But as soon as the fleet mark event started, can't join any queue. Two nights in a row now that the queue system has died.
  • I'm fine with the leave penalty the way it is. The only time I've been hit with it personally was when one or more group members left before me and the STF/event became impossible for a group of 3 or less. Although I will admit I've been more than tempted to leave a few times myself when an optional fails or in the case of…
