Factions of STO

do you think this is when we can expect new factions added to the game?

Season 9 - all KDF content complete
Season 12 - playable Romulan Faction
Season 15 - playable Dominion, cardassian or tholians
Season 18 - playable Dominion, cardassian or tholians
Season 21 - playable Dominion, cardassian or tholians

personally i'd love to see a playable Tholian faction eventually :)

    I imagine we will never see anything past a Season 12. STO will either be shut down or people will have moved on. :rolleyes:

    And what about season 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, and 20? What happened to those. :P

    I don't think there will be much more seasons either. And if so, please no more factions. Fix the game first.

    SUBfactions, though, could really help this game. Instead of the chaotic mess it is right now I'd welcome the introduction of subfactions for blue and red. Blue: Choose between federation citizens (traders, mercenaries, planetary militias - basically what we have right now) and Starfleet (UNIFORMS! Starfleet-tech, starfleet-ships) and on the Red side give Klingons, Gorn, Orions etc. their own subfaction with their own homeworld, fleet, clothing and items.

    As much as I know there's a group of players who would like for Romulans to be a playable faction, I don't see it happening in this game. The way they've handled the Klingons should be a good example. And from what I've seen myself and read on the forums the Klingons normally experience long wait times for queues to fire. If a third faction were added that would get even worse as the playerbase would be split further than it is. In addition the developers would also be under added strain, trying to populate a third empire while still keeping up with the workload that the two existing ones already require and barely keeping up with them as it is.
