Enterprise also has a track record for reusing voyager CGI models. I forget the exact name, but the kitrassian patrol ship or something like that appears like 6 times in voyager as different alien races' ships, and like 3 times in enterprise as different alien ships. It's on EAS and memory alpha.
I thought Memory Alpha must use "official" sanctioned infos?
Either way, official/canon or not, the Dauntless made an impact to the fanbase and CBS knows this. There is also the collectors ship coming with this magazin in the Dauntless painting.
If they were smart it would be the perfect time to do something with the Galaxy X since the thread has been going for almost 6 months. A new Hybrid Galaxy X. But i bet it will be some new ship they made up.
At the moment I'm mainly hoping that the ships look like they're faction appropriate and the hybrid enhancements are under the bonnet, so to speak. Or have minor, optional visual enhancements like a set piece or the assimilated console.
I guess I just don't see myself flying a ship that looks like the result of an Obelisk and an Odyssey/Bortas/Ha'pax thrown in a blender...
Really if you throw that Dyson shields on any of those ships that's basically what you have already. My Fleet Corsair with the Dyson space set looks like the love child of Obelisk and a Corsair.
I do find it ironic that they're talking about hyrid ships when any ship with the Protonic Aresonal and Dyson Space Technology set are basically hybrid ships already functionally, a mix of regular KDF/Rom/Fed tech and Dyson and Voth tech.

Its not uncommon for assets to be redressed and reused. Saves money over having to build a model from scratch.
For example:
The Batris freighter was seen starting in TNG and was used several times in DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise.
Another example is the Talarian observation craft and Talarian Warship which saw use in TNG, DS9, and Voyager. http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Studio_models_%28TNG%29
New Orleans class would be nice, alternatively, that blurb about adapting tech to standard designs could be an excuse to do a new type of Galaxy class people have been on about for a year now.
It's a badly thrown together mix of parts from the Intrepid, Akira and Sovereign.
Just the stuff you'd expect from Mem Gamma since it's a webpage intended ot collect fanfiction.
Federation, Romulan Republic, and Klingon Defense Force scientists have been hard at work adapting Dyson technology to their standard ship designs
This would be a great chance for Cryptic to finally release a revamped version of iconic ship classes, like the Galaxy. Just make a new Galaxy skin using Dyson visuals, allow it to use Venture, Galaxy and Monarch skins, give it more flexible boff stations players were asking for years now, and sell it as a brand new ship. The same could be done with the Negh'var and the D'deridex.
I mean, that's what I would do in Cryptic's place. Re-releasing iconic ships for the anniversary would be a great present, while it would also allow them to adress the demand for a new Galaxy variant.

I kinda' agree with you on this one, seems like a nice opportunity to do so, although in all honestly, out of those 3 mentioned ships only the Galaxy class is facing several serious issues. I really do feel that the Negh'var and especially D'Deridex are fine in game. I'm not sure the need and the way to improve those.
It could also be an opportunity to bring up other canon ships in the lineups that have been requested for quite some time now, namely the Constellation for Feds, the K'Vort for KDF and....something for the Romulans, not really sure what at this moment.

I don't think Negh'var and the D'deridex are in as bad shape as the Galaxy is, but still they could use an "anternative" variant. Negh'var for example could use a lt.cmdr. tac station, as it's a battlecruiser at its core, yet is outgunned by a Vor'cha.
But the main reason I mentioned those is that they're iconic faction specific ships from the show within the same class (cruiser/battlecruiser).
Still, I can hardly call this a speculation, as it's the way I would do a hybrid ship, mostly to kill two birds with one stone (Galaxy issue). Somehow though I think we can expect some crazy new designs instead.
Although I wouldn't mind some new pure science ships - especially for the KDF and the Romulans.

galaxy is already there so that wont happen, it must be a ship that is already out but not on sto, alot of ships exist and a few in canon are yet to be added, one of those standard ships is the constellation class as it was used for a while.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

I'm guessing that by "crazy new design" you're thinking of something equivalent to the Tal'Shiar adapted battle cruiser. But with aesthetic elements borrowed from the Obelisk? Maybe we'll finally get a shuttle version of a swarmer? hehe
the Fed's don't get the Dauntless till the 26th century.
don't know why everyone wants this 1 episode fake ship.
Warship Voyager should be made into the game.
:P
Yeah, thank god Cryptic will release the Long Range Tactical Vessel with 4/3 Weapons Layout, Borg Security Team, Heavy Cannon and Rapid Transphasic and Rapid Quantum Launchers with 180*.
I bloody want .
Especially the Romulan one. The Fed on is a bit meah though.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I hope they can be adjusted to use proper skins from their factions, cause these colours just look weird to me.
While we're at it, the Romulan one looks pretty much like a modifed D'Deridex and the KDF one like a modified Pegh'qu. So for now, I'm not really impressed with the craftsmanship, but hey they're gifts so whatever.
Only the Fed one looks like something actually new, reminds me a bit of the RSSV, but it's quite different from it in comparison to her KDF & Romulan counterparts.

Warship Voyager should be made into the game.
:P
For the simple fact that the Voyager crew saw this ship and has detailed scans of it even if it was just an advanced holographic projection hiding an alien ship. There is also the fact that the ship had to look Starfleet enough so the Voyager crew bought the ruse. It makes more sense than the Galaxy-X since that was from an alternate timeline that no longer exists, but Picard could have reported some of the information that he encountered to his superiors so they could get some Engineers to create it.
There is absolutely no image or scan of the Warship Voyager in any Starfleet database in 2409 and was used as propaganda tens of thousands of light years away from Earth and hundreds of years in the future. The only member of the Voyager crew that encountered it was a copy of the Doctor and there is just no possible way for him to inform Starfleet about such a design by 2409. The Warship Voyager is worse than the Dauntless since it is easy to explain how a Dauntless can be introduced while it is impossible to explain how the Warship Voyager can be introduced.

I was thinking it looks like a modified Ar'Kif. These look pretty cool, though I'm disappointed that they all seem to be either escorts or cruisers. We've got those all over the place, would've been nice to get a new science ship (especially for Klingons and Romulans). I guess I should reserve my judgement until the devs release the stats on them.

I'd mentioned an idea behind a three-way faction ship based off of Species 116's technology:
For cross faction purposes I'd imagine the alien "Dauntless" ship belonging to Species 116, that looked like a Starfleet vessel, would be likely. The ship would come with its own unique item slot; the Particle Synthesis Generator. So, it'd have a standard base alien look to it, but then each faction would get a unique generator when claiming it, making the ship appear like a vessel belonging to their own faction.
Then you could have other non-faction specific generators released via Lock Boxes, as well as from the Lobi Store, and as future Featured Episode mission rewards. Potentially you could have a new module for each NPC faction you come across.

Well in case of the Dauntless their "detailed scans" didn't reveal that it wasn't a Stafleet ship so it's very questionable how accurate those scans were or whether it's essentially a scan of a ghost...I mean if they can't even properly identify the materials used because they're "masked" by the particle sythesis thingy how can they discern the function of each part?
In case of the Galaxy-X it's questionable how much info beyond "it had 3 nacelles and a gun" Picard could have brought back actually since he was in the body of an old man with hazy memory and with the knowledge of a retired diplomat and passenger.;)
There's actually a far more mundane explanation for that one: the general circumstances in STO's timeline are quite similar, though not identical, to the situation in "All Good Things", especially the unfriendly relations with the Klingons. So the motivations for the engineers to turn one or more Galaxy class ships into something more suited for a conflict is essentially the same...especially since the ships Starfleet faces in STO and AGT are pretty much the same so the modifications would folow the same pattern as well.:)
The Klingon one is very much appealing.
The Romulan one may actually turn out to be the only interesting one of the bunch...and let's hope all fo them are in Dominion set shield look...yikes do not want purple warbird.:(
Each to their own and all that, but i really don't understand why a ship that wasn't even a real starfleet ship, and on top of that somewhat resembled a door wedge
Your opinion doesn't make it a fact. Keep it that way. If these are indeed the looks of the ships for the Anniversary, they look really awesomely cool.

Well, since they are inspired by the Dyson Sphere, and the Solanae Dyson Sphere does have purple coloring on some of its components, I wouldn't be surprised if the ships had some purple in them. They look awesome that way, in my opinion.

The Romulan one looks the best. Don't think much of the Starfleet one, and the KDF ship is as uninteresting as their anniversary destroyer:
