    Right...as though the gigantic red notice in the very forum you're posting in isn't noticeable enough.

    true, but most sites for games will have a "game status" on their "Home" page. for those who may not dive right into the forums each time they cant login.

    still not able to open launcher...hope you get it fixed soon..would be a pitty to miss out on the 3 yr anniversary due to tech issues :/ ....Houston tx.

    Players Please Stop Trying To "fix" Your Game. Dont Dl The New Launcher It Dont Work. Dont Launch With Your Phone. Let Sto Stop Lying And Fix This Problem. Its A Server Issue Not Ours.

    I want a show of hands for how many people would like 1 lock box key for every hour this problem has been persisting both yesterday and today.

    It's not working for me in MA. I've got some professional experience helping network guys diagnose akamai routing issues. If you have the need for a tester in MA, USA, feel free to ping me.

    With the issues yesterday tried constantly for 3 hours to log in with 2 simi successful logins then locked up on patching from changing maps.. Since everyone from the West coast of the US seemed to have no problems it seemed maybe the routing system on the east coast might have issues, but between me n my ISP have 40mb connection did the net test n what not, had over 1,000+ kbs connection with all the stuff except those congo links that failed to reply...

    After 11 PM yesterday pretty much after east coast prime-time like predicted I was able to log on and play without any issues. But today at 5:30 pm, 30 mins before prime-time, guess what, issues r back...

    the 3 yr anniversary will be pro-rated so it will technically be the 2 year 6 month anniversary due to the 6 months total down time ;)

    I'm not sure if it is DNS based, or what, but like most others, I can tether to my phone and connect right away. I can also connect using Wi-Fi at a local restaurant. However, again I cannot connect from my home, just like yesterday. Running a TRACERT takes me to entirely different servers when connected via tethering. I'm lucky, I have a 4G connection at home, but most users likely do not have this option. I agree that the non-F2P players should receive some kind of compensation for this type of outage. When a patch of any kind fails, you ABORT and ROLLBACK. I can live without the updates to the JemHadar set and with a running game!

    well isnt this special, all i get its that little box that says trying to update the launcher, please be patient, tried connecting (x) times. So i dont even make it to the dam launcher. its not on my end so fix this sto, some of us are paying for this.

    I'd love one per hour..., maybe 2. Seriously though I'm not a dev. Infact I'm not by all means a genius when it comes to anything computer or business wise. However, even I know that if I had customers, and I saw my customers were having problems updating something I provided, I would just shut off the auto updater, and place an updated version of what I had for people to download and use therefore bypassing the main problem. It doesn't take someone with rocket science to realize this.

    To the ones running STO please don't get me wrong. I LOVE the game, and I respect you guys for giving us such a great game to play. I'm just frustrated, because for the past couple days I had a heck of a time trying to get in to play, and I'm not the only one who is frustrated by this.

    this isn't very fun trying to log on...it would be nice to have an idea when i can try and log on instead of hoping that any of these 10000 tries will be it

    I just checked in with the team and they are running some tests with our external routing vendor to try and identify where the cause of yesterday's issues lies. If you're having receiving an error, please try again in a few minutes as they are completing their tests.

    If i sold cars for a livng, but every car i sold only ran part of the time, and had major issues at every turn, could i expect the consumer to buy thier next car from me? how then can you ask use, paying customers to stand by? this is not the first or last issue the game has had. burn me once shame on you...burn me twice ...shame on me. I do hope one day a larger and more stable company buys this game and makes it what it should be. however until the day i no longer see ''cryptic'' on the name i and everyone i know on the game for friend are hereby boycotting all cryptic games and i hope other join in this.

    I was logged in fine from earlier today. Had a couple slow hot patches, then one hot-patch basically stalled out. I closed out and try to get back in only to get the launcher error again. Tracert looks similar to yesterday.

    This doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence. What was going to be minutes seams to have turned out to be hours for some - and no update on how long it will realistically take. I was thinking about a life time sub, but not now.

    Me thinks the boys over at MIT are bored since BSG & StarGate have gone off-line and MWO is too hard for them. So why not TRIBBLE with the servers and go after STO crowd, who, for the most part, are a happy lot.

    Meanwhile, I gonna take a leap of faith and just call it a night. Will just go up the street and watch the stock girls at TESCO do their thing. (Mostly nice Polish girls, btw).

    So I will be praying hard to sweet Baby Jesus (wearing a Ricky Bobby NASCAR suit) that in the morning this will be fixed and a Jem'hadar Assault Carrier will be in mail.

    so, it says you are trying to find out what went wrong with the launcher... now, instead of not connecting, my launcher is empty... and is trying to open a window in IE....:eek: wtf?
