    Seven hours and counting and you haven't even isolated the problem? You have got to be freekin kidding me.

    Oh yeah and since you brought it up, the tech support ticket system doesn't work either.

    Where is the option to disable auto patching? I just see the on demand patching and I know that's for in game patching of zones and such you haven't been to in awhile.

    I logged off at 2am EST last night and the game worked fine, wake up this morning and its broken, go figure. And this isnt the first time this has happened. Ive been waiting to play STO for several hours now. And this has been going on for hours and you havent isolated the problem yet?!?

    Well... I had that problem, i Have high speed internet, probably dsl. A switched it off and conect my pc to mobile phone and patched the game, than I entered the game, where you can chose your character i switched off internet on my mobile and turned on my normal internet and I can play. Maybe this will help someone.

    The issue seems more like an issue with an major ISP or routing centre, if it was an local ISP problem far fewer people would have it, if it was a problem with Cryptic's own connection everyone would have trouble with it.

    Seems to me we start losing packets just after hop 13, The ping increases there and then nothing. Last traceable address is 62.28.4.42 Maybe a faulty router stopping packets from going to the final server to connect the launcher.
