Also, you know -- not everyone in the world knows what a traceroute is for and Cryptic/PWE did ask for them. If Cryptic/PWE say they don't need them then, and only then, should people stop posting them. Until then, just chuckle away quietly, but keep it to yourself, preferably.

I am not a tecknolable person but i have run the test. i have instulled it again and again but the same problem. Well Private Tunnel worked a whole 2 seconds for me. Unfortunately I have had on-demand patching on.
What does that mean?
The patcher downloads the bare minimums to patch the client and if I enter a zone that needs patching, the load screen takes 2-10 seconds longers while it updates the zone files.
Great for when the games working.. bad for right now.

What does that mean?
The patcher downloads the bare minimums to patch the client and if I enter a zone that needs patching, the load screen takes 2-10 seconds longers while it updates the zone files.
Great for when the games working.. bad for right now.
I had a 6gb download and I blew through the free 100mb that Private Tunnel gives.
So I you don't use on-demand patching and you want to get on, I suggest using Private Tunnel instructions.

On demand patching is where it'll patch places and missions you've not been to in a while, so if you are playing the game with it switched on, you'll need your 'other' connection to patch those places (usually meaning mobile connection) - hence the switching off on demand patching.
