IAs a lifetime subscriber since launch of the game, it would be nice to get some compensation for our loss of game-play.

This is a loss of approximately 960 dilithium, 75+ Omega Marks, and a minimum of 1 Borg Neural Processer to any one of my toons per hour. Based on this I conclude that I could run 3 Elite STF's per hour. Being unable to play STO since at least 11AM/8AM EST/PST that is 5.5 hours right now.

    So, let's do the math.

    960*3*5 = 14,400 Dilithium LOST
    75*3*5 = 1,125+ Omega Marks LOST
    1*3*5 = 15+ Borg Neural Processors LOST

These amounts do not include any bonuses during the Reputation Bonus Time-frame, nor does it include any of the additional Omega Marks or Borg Neural Processer one might getting during the Elite STF runs.

Compensation for the loss of game time would be highly appreciated by all players that are affected by the Cryptic/PerfectWolrd's Patchserver issue.

    THANK YOU

could even be more dil if there was a special event scheduled.

Is anyone even playing this game? Here in France the launcher won't even start... All I get is a small window named Cryptic Launcher Autoupdate with "Trying to update the launcher. Please be patient. Tried connecting # times." And at 3 times it says unable to etablish connection to patch server ect.. Yay

I am getting the same thing over in Hawaii.

Well, I found a possible solution...I was not able to login using my normal connection (ISP) through AT&T/Bellsouth, but since I also have a Verizon Jetpack for something else, I fired it up, disconnected my normal logon, and used the jetpack to connect to the Internet, and it downloaded the patch and logged on, but still won't connect through my normal ISP...

I was having problems as well so I am trying a complete reinstall of the game to see if that helps the issue, but I am not very hopeful that it will. Especially since it looks like I won't be able to get the game reinstalled prior to the actual scheduled maintenance start time.

Another problem I have encountered that has perturbed me to no end is that I attempted to purchase 25.00 US Dollars worth of Zen using Paypal earlier today (around 3:00 am PST) and for some reason the purchase is showing up fine on both my paypal account and bank account, but it does not seem to be appearing on the Perfect World Entertainment Wallet AT ALL. Thus I have apparently wasted 25.00 USD that has somehow disappeared into the ?ther. I have submitted a ticket about this matter. But I am not hopeful that this will be resolved before the end of the Key's Sale, which is unfortunate for me.

what would be the point in reinstalling the game whats that going to do nothing!. pointless waste of time but have at it sir

My day off so i thought why not keep grinding all day to get my dred. Now this. They really should do something for people this is bs. Maybe open the attack ship for 25 mil or 100,000 dil in the store till the first week in feb ends because its dominion time and people would LOVE that and keep some of the frustration away. Things like this happen but when they happen to such severity some form of good will compensation goes a long way to show that a company cares about its consumers, plus that ship hasn't been accessible for several years. This promotion would give new members the incentive to buy even after all this.

This is such an odd error... I get it occasionally and I can usually resolve it by powering down my modem and router. Just a guess... could this have something to do with static vs non-static IP addresses? Maybe the Cryptic Launcher doesn't like certain IP addresses and every time I power off my router it get a new IP address?

Anyway... I was able to play last night and low and behold, like many others in this thread, I try to log on a few hours later and no luck. By the way my usual trick doesn't work, however, maybe I keep getting an IP address that Cryptic Launcher doesn't like... just a thought.

Is anyone even playing this game?

Apparently a few people are having some success with ridiculous workarounds like cell phone tethering and 3rd party network software. That's nothing the "Team" has any business asking us to do just to wring some functionality out of their product, and so I won't.

I am affected. Been Waiting since 6PM GMT. it is now 9:33PM GMT. if they do get this sorted soon i hope there's some sort of compensation. maybe a special cryptic compensation box which features all the lock box ships, the jem'hadar attack ship, the breen chell grett cruiser and the standard odyssey star cruiser. openable for free. no doff packs, no xp bonuses just the ships. as in random one ship per character if not that at least bring forward the 3 year anniversary event forward 2 days early and let us play the special new feature episode as a thank you for waiting.P.S Great game when Playable

    Good luck with that.

If this was a P2P only game this issue would already be fixed and players compensated for their inconvienience.

    Quit dreaming.
P2P games going down/offline/unavailable for multiple days isn't uncommon.

Compensation? Yes - free playtime: 3 days or the like.

I know this first hand. lol
Heck, the whole Steam network had similar issues a few times.

In all honesty, we should have known when we saw a MONDAY patch, that something ridiculous like this was going to happen. I tend to overlook a lot of the little anoyances, like how the Thursday patch always occurs during my scheduled mining event of the day, but it's safe to say that we are all displeased. Counting the patchtime, I will be losing at least 8 hours of playtime today.
Well, I just wanted to gripe for a little while. Thanks for reading.
