Any chance of a Statement where the problem might be and how long it might take to fix it?

    Yep, I got that too.

    I'm UK, VirginMedia.

So if you've got that in Spain...
My home ISP is Telefonica and my office is connected via COLT.

I've routed traffic to the netblock via the VPN to my office and now i'm playing, but after a hard day, go home to relax and ... more troubleshooting xD

Well my mobile phone works in patching but way to slow between 3-7 mb on 3g and I drops now and then to unreliable for online gaming nut it works the only thing I can think off is that it is using a blocked channel port or something as for example my phone can access piratebay and home broadband is blocked for example. I had same problem with POTBS by SOE MMO and it took them nearly a year to fix it and they shut my account down and I lost all my paid for stuff and subscription status so I know that this is not an easy fix as sony is a massive company with lots of money

Again with this cogentco TRIBBLE. No way you could possibly anticipate something with a long-established history of problems, let alone checking it out remotely before a patch goes live.

    Please see this temp connection:

    https://www.privatetunnel.com/index.php/client-download

Create an account after install, verify email, open program and connect to California, once connected click on STO icon and that's it. Until PWE figures out its problem. Thiswill work for East Coast users, not sure if the international members are capable of using this.

Disable on demand patching in the launcher's settings and then download the full patch. After that just load the game and switch back to your regular connection, the issue is only with connecting to the launcher/patch servers.

I think its absolutely pathetic that Cryptic cant keep this game running. Release one patch to fix things that arent even broken, break 3 other things. And now it seems they've patched the game to death. My day off and all i wanted to do was play some STO. Pathetic

Click engage and go into one of your characters.

Dissconnect from your vpn or private tunnel.

You will see that you are dissconnected, but leave the window open!!

Wait a couple of mins for your own broadband to reconnect.

    Log back into game.

    Voila

    It worked!! thank you :D
