LOL, of course you say it doesnt apply because it goes against your argument. Either way, that doesnt change the fact that the current system is unequal. Person A might simply send out 5 emails and get everyone to sign up. He literally might have only spent 5 mins. Person B might try to convince people in person to try the game, but not actually get anyone to do it. He might spend several days. On the other hand, items in the C-store are equal to everyone because they all cost exactly the same thing.

At this point, you would say that changing the way you get the Gal-X would be unfair to the people who have already gotten one. I wont even deny that. However, the options are A) a system that is unfair to everyone(for the reason explained above) or B) a system that is unfair to the FEW who have already gotten one. While it is obvious you would pick the first option, Spock said it best :o

Lifes not fair if people cant deal with that they should just throw in the towel now

Thankfully for you, not everyone feels that way. If they did, you would probably be living in a dictatorship right now rather than a democracy(or whatever your local representative form of government may be, for our European friends) :o

Yes. If Cryptic is set on TRIBBLE over people, let them TRIBBLE over everybody equally.

    That's just the point.

This is a chance for cryptic to make amends by sticking to the referral program.

    They have to start somewhere.....

Besides everyone wanting this and ranting on innumerable threads proves that they can make more money by leaving the Galaxy X right where it is.

I cant speak for you, but I have something called "free will" that allows me to choose which threads I want to read or not read. Perhaps your is malfunctioning? :D

Glad to hear it. That said, you have only yourself to blame if you choose to read a thread you are bored of reading :o

If they really thought that way, they would have just let people buy the various packages rather than put the pre-order items in the C-store.

This just in: I’ve just received confirmation that there are solid plans to add the Galaxy-X to the C-Store in the very near future. If you are purchasing the Steam sale solely for the Galaxy-X referral rewards, you’ll get a better deal if you wait for this item to hit the C-Store. Also, for those who already purchased several copies of STO just to get the Galaxy ship, we’ll be gifting you $50 worth of CP as a special thank you. :D

    Source here

    Or even this thread!

    Thanks for the link.

Now I know for sure to never participate in Cryptic's promotions.

    Yes it should be added.
Then a patch should come out with countermeasures against it.
hmm good idea. but begs the questions should this not be true for all cloak ships?
yes it should be but i would wait a long time to do it.
personally though i think a long term veteran reward would be a more ideal solution, like after a couple of years.
or to get complicated a veteran reward that unlocks the c-store item after 2 years.
if people have for their own reasons decided to buy 5 copies and spend all that money they still get the ship for a couple of years before anybody else.
and the people that referred friends will have gotten the ship for free, as the program was intended.
    interesting suggestion.

    I voted yes.
I hate this ship so much, I want EVERYONE to fly one around... I fight better when I'm angry.
well, we all get motivated somehow, i personally use coffee.

I vote for "I don't care", first the ship is ugly, always was and allways will. ATG galaxy always looked like a hackjob.. a galaxy with a tired warp nacell.. buhu how original...
Anyway thats just my opinion on how it looks, it will suffer the same fate as the TOS connie, especial in july when whe get a new tier of ships.
Ummm, there is no promise of a new tier of ship. New ships yes, but not a new tier, actually it has been mentioned there will not be a tier 6 in the forseeable future. hmmm what i do with that link.... i had that rascal here someplace....

Can we close this thread now, since the issue has been resolved and all your wish came true? Even staring at the title of this thread will give me a stroke.

While I dont disagree with anything you said, your getting a bit beyond the discussion. If you look at the post I was replying to, he was making the ridiculous statement that an equal system in a VIDEO GAME is communism. The quote I provided was simply to make the point that something being "equal" has nothing to do with a communistic form of government.

Forgive my tangent. You are of course right, I had not read that far into the conversation at that time. Of course latter in the night when I had read that I felt like an TRIBBLE for my knee jerk comment.

Still even in communism there is no such thing as equals among people, else the Soviet garbage man would have had as nice a dacha as nice as Artem Mikoyan. In this case, adding the Gal-X to the C-Store, you will wind up with a larger version on the current situation. Instead of just social adepts and those with enough cash to simply buy all the boxes and subs to get a Gal-X outright, you will have them and those who can afford to buy it from the C-Store entering their ranks and those who are in a more difficult economic position unable to justify the expense for a virtual ship with potential game changing capacity. In that regard you are on the money, this is not a communistic solution.

To be honest, Soviet communism sounds like a better deal than what Cryptic is offering.

At least Soviet Union didn't sell the sickles and hammers with ridiculous premium, only to introduce them in the local grocery store several months later, for mere fraction of the original costs.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; if you take the cloak and the lance off of the ship then yes put it into the C-Store, if you want everything on it then absolutely not.

Take the maneuverability and unlimited BO slots of BoP's then.

Make them sad little Fed Escort clones with cloak.

That is what you are asking for.

For a Klingon to complain about PvP is just sad.

PvP was made for klingons! Their ships are so superior than fed ships it's not even funny!

You really have no idea; Federation ships have more versatility and hitpoints than their Klingon counterparts. Those are offset by the versatility of the BoP and the tanking abilities of the Carrier.

If you're naive enough to think that the reason Klingons win more often at PvP is because of cloaking, then you really don't know what you're talking about as a good Fed premade will wipe out all Klingon pugs and most Klingon premades that they come across.

That was mostly because Commie store shelves were always empty.:)

    I have a BoP.

I know what I'm talking about.

I was completely shocked when I checked out my starter BoP after I set up a Klingon faction toon.

TOTALLY tricked out! I COULDN'T improve it!

I had to wait to level to actually have to purchase upgrades and you start with 3 BO's!

Personally making a Klingon playable faction was a BAD idea in the 1rst place IMO.

It only attracts... people... who like that kind of.... playstyle... (I'm trying to be nice here)

As a Klingon I am not worried about a slow cruiser regardless of it's cloak or lance.

A tier 5 BoP can do circles around it. It has a regular cloak, not a Battle Cloak, so it can't run away like a little girl and cloak to escape like my BoP can.

I just wait for him to decloak: I decloak behind him, I cannon spam him to death and if he brings my shields down to half: I run like a little girl and Battle cloak. :)
