If it werent for the fact that the welfare system is a free service, while you have to PAY for the items in the C-store, that analogy might make sense. However, for the reason just stated, it doesnt. Sorry, please try again.

The PAY you're talking about would be nowhere near the amount of work it took to get the 5 referals as previously demonstrated by the exclusives in the cstore. The reason I used the welfare analogy is because there are too many people that would rather sit on their butts and do nothing to get something instead of working for it. So your assumption is incorrect please try again.

Hate to tell you, but who do you think pays for the welfare system?

People who work, the money is taken out of your pay as taxes.

Keep The Galaxy X referal exclusive.

    Something to consider.

When the RAF program became known there was a outpouring of complaints and many people thought this should be available on the c-store instead.

In effect the issue with the Gal X being desired for the c-store is actually an old issue that preceeds this latest c-store update. I for one think the Gal X should have been on the c-store to be honest. Some people had already invited their friends to play. The Gal X was a carrot and stick approach and now it should be on the c-store.

There are plenty of other ships to add so why even contemplate this. If its added to the C-store then there is no point in a referral system at all because honestly what is the point? People will still tell there friends about the game but it wont be worth the struggle to persuade them to buy the game AND subscribe when you can just buy it with no hassel. No if you dont have enough friends who'll play then just live with it rather than spoil the hard work of others.

I don't have the Galaxy X but I know a couple of people who do and after the effort they put in to get it they would be really upset if it was suddenly made avaliable.

If they put it in cstore that would destroy any future raf programs because then we all would know that down the road we could get with alot less effort than talking to people about the game and getting them to sub and buy it. Plus there doesn't seem to be a time limit on it so peopel apparently will always be able to recruit it sounds more like I want it now attitiude than anything else

The flaw in your argument is that the amount of "work" varies from person to person. One person who might be able to get the first 5 people they invite to try the game, and hardly put any "work" into it. Another person might not be able to get ANY of their friends to try it, and put 10 times as much time into looking for people to recruit as the first person mentioned did. On the other hand, the C-store requires the exact same cost of everyone.

And as already stated, comparing a system where you get something for free to a system where you have to pay to get something makes no sense. Speaking of "sitting on your but", the fact that you can email out referral codes means that your still "sitting on your butt" even when you do that.

As it turns out, it was spot on. Thanks for playing though ;)

I agree the work varies but if its supposed to be exact same cost to everyone they shouldn't have had it in the referal in the first place.

If you can't undersatnd how the welfare system works yuo should look it up before you "think" you're right.
Thinking you're spot on is ok if thats what makes you feel better here have a cookie.

Since your the one comparing the welfare system to a product you pay for, then it seems you are the one who needs to look it up.

In a previous poll the vast majority of voters said the Galaxy-X should not remain exclusive to the referral program and should be made available though some others means. As a follow up question:

Should the Galaxy-X be added to the C-store?

After you vote, feel free to share your thoughts :D

If you want to put it in the C-Store, take the cloak off of it. As long as it has a cloak it needs to stay exclusive.....

Its like the welfare system why work for something when you can take the easy way out. Too many people always want the easy way if you want something you work for it asking cryptic at every turn to change its mind is unreasonable. Of course the poll will show that more people want it in the cstore than do its the have nots outnumbering the haves Please for the love of god cryptic please don't add this to the cstore some things need to remain exclusive

Exacltey, for those of us who have done the work, or those that bought their own accounts that is not fair. Trutfhully i say the car needs to remain exlclusive for a couple years to the referal program. Worst case i dont mind the scin being released in c store eventually, but without the cloak and without the cannon. Cryptic needs to keep some kind of integrity and stop lying bout ****. Secound im tired of all the people that whine about TRIBBLE getting it. Obviously your moms didnt stop breast feeding you till a late age. If i wined for TRIBBLE i would get slapped in the face by my freaking dad as a kid, so i didnt whine. I think its amazing how many people do and think they deserve everything, when a simple real fact of the world is, Sorry, not eveyone can have everything everyone else has. Be nice to see crytpic not lie about something for once as well. Im glad my red matter capacitor wasnt put in game, because it is game changing by being able to give you power when the other person has none. So at least it somewhat shows cryptic holiding on what they said they would do...For once.

It should be a 400 Day Vet reward. Putting it on the CSTORE would be a bad decision...

^ Agree instead of the captains yuck right. See i get my galaxy x thursday, and i have no problem with it being a vet reward. I rather not see it that way, but instead of the c store its way better. It means it sill has to be earnt in some way.

After 500 Days [paying for the Game] or playing the Game, everyone should get it for free and a new Klingon and new Romulan Ship, too. Or buy it for 60 Euro in the Shop, so that there is more mony for more new free Game Content.

Also, just FYI, Cryptic didnt used the word "exclusive" about the Gal-X ship:

Once your recruit has subscribed to the game for a month, you’ll earn:
    • A new title: Recruiter.
    • An exclusive Holographic Bridge Officer (works with Federation and Klingon players).
    • 400 Cryptic Points.
    • For each additional recruit that subscribes to the game, you’ll receive an additional 400 Cryptic Points. Once you’ve recruited five subscribers, you’ll receive these great rewards:
    • A new title: Master Recruiter
    • A special ship: The Tier 5 "All Good Things" Galaxy Class.

    http://www.startrekonline.com/referral

Even if Cryptic did "lie" about the other items they called "exclusive", they never called the Gal-X "exclusive", so that argument doesnt apply here.

Sorry to say this, but if its part of that program right now its exclusive to that, whether its stated or not.

The thing is if its part of the program, it should REMAIN there.

Im tired of this c store sell out ******** anyway.

Sure there is. Do you enjoy playing Star Trek Online? Would you enjoy playing it with your friends? Then consider referring them.

If you do, the real real reward is not some in-game bonus item that we offer you. It's the time you get to spend sharing your hobby with your friend. That's why you should use the referral program, not because you want some in-game perk, but because you want to spend more time with your friend.

If any of those items ever do make it to the C-store, then you would still be able to earn them for free, rather than paying real money for them, using the referral program.

    Thanks,

    Stormshade

If anyone complains about it I'd be so glad to point them to thate statement. If people get upset then perhaps it suggests the methods they used to get referrals are not how it was intended to be. I'm sure Cryptic would prefer people joining that have an interest in the game as opposed to a few extra keys and a one month subscription.

It is obvious that Cryptic is "Hedging their bet" on the referral program..... it'll be exclusive until they determine that it can be sold in the C-Store. I won't be pushing a referral program, in light of this.

Just for fun, go ahead and explain that. Cryptic has never even claimed the Gal-X is exclusive, so why do you expect it to be?

I vote for "I don't care", first the ship is ugly, always was and allways will. ATG galaxy always looked like a hackjob.. a galaxy with a tired warp nacell.. buhu how original...

Anyway thats just my opinion on how it looks, it will suffer the same fate as the TOS connie, especial in july when whe get a new tier of ships.

Guess I'm just going on principle and Honor.

Just my actions if it comes to pass, not judging, just responding.

Your just going to have to buy those 5 copies of STO and have done with it.
