Yeah, I still need skirts, but this is nice to be up and running!

well, the patch has come and gone and you now know where you stand on pre-order uniforms.

They already got your money --- so they will get back with you on it.

It should be obvious by now....they NEVER had mini skirts in game, but said so
to boost sales of the deluxe.

I am glad I cancelled, and cryptic will never get another dime from me.

You got the Foil Hat with your pre-order? I'm jealous!

(anyway NPCs are wearing the skirts, so they are in game. Just not for players yet.)

The Wrath of Khan pants still aren't dark enough. It's a minor issue, but it really ruins the effect of the uniform as a whole.

Actually, the skirts were on NPCs. We have seen them in game courtesy of the Treasure Seeker mission. They're a bit long and weird and were probably planned as a low cut TOS male top with more of a TNG-style skirt that extends below mid-thigh until somebody said, "Hey! That won't do."

This last patch and the comment earlier today that the skirts are most likely in the next patch makes today the best day so far. I understand your frustration, but if there is one day you should at least feel a little better about this situation it would be today. They finally made progress and gave us a small but vital progress update.

I have a feeling though that your issues with this game run much further than just the absense of the skirts since I can't imagine quitting over that on the day they finally gave us an update.

Anyway, I am happy again and it looks like I will be dancing with joy once the next patch arrives. If this game doesn't do it for you I wish you the best of luck elsewhere. If however your frustration is just about the skirts I'd suggest to stick around for a while. :)

just because an ncp has a clothing item does mean they made one for pcs

npc's are much simpler than pcs, as is any 'items' they may have.

It is a simple model, and they paste it on..done, but it will not work for the pc.
pc clothing items have options, and are changable..also mod-able.

What I am saying is that..the pc VERSION of mini skirts were never in game when they
clearly stated they were. That is why you don't have them now.

So far my bridge officers can get their tos shirts and a tos combadge and rank. My character does not have the options for the tos combadge and the lt commander rank will not show, it reverts to previous rank. Hope this helps people

actualy NPC doesnt have any of that, they are prebaked with a set look, they don't have clothes their all naked, a single preset model molded to perfection.

The color in the Kahn pants seems to be a bit off. The darkest they can be made is gray and there are two color options that have no effect on the color of the pants at all.

    fix this please

considering it took 2 WEEKS that is a fair assesment. Either they had to make the mini skirts new for players, or it was so low on the priority tree that it was praticlay Targ Food

Is this not available in your character editing screen, or not available in the C-Store?

If it's not in the character edit screen, petition it.

If it's not in the c-store, check the character edit screen, as uniforms don't need to be unlocked in the c-store.

LOL you bring up an excellent point! What would be involved in rigorous mini-skirt testing?

    /discuss

Honestly, I think it was a symptom of much deeper problems in the costume editor that they aren't admitting to. Which is making them look like douchebags dragging their heels on specific things rather than having to repair an utterly borked system. Problems like below:

This is on top of problems with various bits and pieces of non-premium uniform content (rank pins Fed-side, some Klingon uniform bits), especially selectability issues.
I think we were talking about skirts, not shirts

    We're equal-opportunity disappointed customers.

Or a major system component was badly coded and they don't want to admit it.

Yay! I can now put TNG, DS9, ToS and Kahn uniforms on my BOffs.

    Problems that still exist include:

TNG, ToS and DS9 uniforms on Borg BOffs automatically set the color of the pants by the primary color of the uniform. There appears to be no way to avoid this.

Mirror Universe uniforms are still unavailable for female characters and BOffs.

Kahn pants are still way too light.

Other than that, good job guys! Keep up the good work.

Edit: Forgot about the ToS uniforms. Had to slap myself for that.

First... Thank you for getting Boff ToS uniforms in and updating us on skirts....

It wouldn't let me rank up either but I had to restart the game and now I can rank up. No Tos combadge though....I bugged it

Technically, the TOS uniform for females should include knee high gogo boots and a scoop neck and black pantyhose.

Citation for the pantyhose http://tos.trekcore.com/gallery/albums/2x01/amoktime0017.jpg I looked for Nurse chapel because the contrast of black hose would be more stark on her than on Uhura.

But Uhura has an awesome example of the scoop neck and also a second shot of the gogo boots.

Beyond that, I'd advise you not to get your hopes up for the thigh high boots if you did not get the Champions Online lifetime. Why?

    Because those are Mirror Universe

I think quiting because of that would be silly.. no offense. Sure we paid for it, and I am annoyed I didnt get it at release like I was supposed too. It seems though that Cryptic is not "pulling a Mythic" on us, and thats why I am still supporting them.

The mythic reference if you remember, they pulled out almost all the capitol cities for the races in Warhammer, promising they would replace them when they made them awesome, but then never did...

I fully agree with this post in regards to the details of the uniforms in question.

Now, knowing that the BOffs can wear the TOS "shirts" (albeit, not the correct female neckline) sans skirts, my male BOffs will be happy. I still look forward to the correct and complete TOS uni for myself in addition to my female crew members. Small steps in the right direction!

Silly or not. And i do tend to be silly at times. It was the principal of it. I certainly would have quit and my two buddies (who had nothing to do with the skirts) were gonna quit too until I decided to play.

The way I see it, I give you money for a pepsi, chips, and a chocolate bar.... yet for some reason I get a cracker instead of a chocolate bar? You say "sorry my chocolate is all on hold, our machine is broken, and I have no idea when it will be fixed. But anyway, would you like to buy another chocolate bar?"

My reply... "no, u crazy... you call me when you actually have chocolate!"

    No offense taken :)

If this had been a 1p game like say, Mass Effect 2, and it didnt come with one of the many pre-orders or one of the collectors ED items, I think that would have been more serious since most 1p games have no 100% promise of content updates, and sometimes even patches are in question. MMOs are different in that they are updated. We might not like the updates all the time, but atleast they are.

I guess Im just more forgiving until the company proves they arent trustworthy and will say anything just to keep you subscribed...

Not so far... If you go by the fact that the stuff was supposed to be available on February 2nd, it is now February 11th. That is 9 days, or 1 week, 2 days. We still have another 5 days before it is 2 weeks. You've seen me post here and my stance, so you know I'm pretty level headed and on your side. So please, try not to exaggerate. It doesn't help matters.

They have already posted two updates today. One is that our skirts should be in the next patch. The other update was the very reason why it's taking so long: They were having issues with armor and kits messing up with the skirts.

I figured it was a bug of some sort, but I was hoping it wasnt that they had to make the things from scratch or soemthing else.

I think they should put Orion fed characters in the CS as compensation. ^.^
