Whenever I switch between ground and space, my space trays get reset/messed up.
ALL boff/console/ship/captain abilities are moved, or removed. Weapon and cruiser commands are scattered throughout the trays (why would I need 'em? they've got their own bloody section!)
Happens EVERY time I switch between space and ground - irrelevant of sector or map, and irrelevant of ship (tried on 3 diff ships - same issue)
I'm having the same tray issues. I was really into this game, until the expansion came out. That's when the bugs that I cannot tolerate reared their ugly heads. I, too, will only do daily maintenance, until this is fixed. It has completely taken the air out of my sails.
Garner@vosoros now has a bug on the ship. Some weird fighter seems to be intergrated (like escape pods) into the bottom saucer section of the fleet bellerophon class long range science vessel...WTF? It wasn't there yesterday, I swear...

Did the latest patch TRIBBLE this up? Come on Cryptic, get it together.
Character : Eli@e30ernest
Ship : Multi-Mission Surveillance Explorer T5-U
What happens: Ship skillbar resets to an old configuration after logging out of the game. Sometimes happens when switching between ground and space too.
- occurs everytime is switch from sector to space map and back
- also happens when beaming down to ground and back into space
- when i log off and log in or even change character
Steps tried:
- save load out and load it again - fail
- saved UI and loaded it again - fail
- set back all settings to default, log out, log in - no change at all
I have had the battery issues since New Romulus, if I am on the ground, and I go to top off my batteries, then when I get in space they are not in the right tray, if they are there at all.
Before this recent patch I could remedy this by making sure I was in Space when topping off my batteries.
Now it does not matter, I lose both wep and shield batteries when I go from ground to Space, and since I was on the ground when I recently changed engie BOFF''s, now every time I go from Ground to Space I lose both of my engies abilities, they are removed from the tray, along with refracting tet cascade.
Others I know of have had issues with an ability from a console, which I helped this figure out that if they remove it from the tray, and put it back while in space, then it does not go away anymore.
Please fix this issue, it makes me not want to play anymore, as it is a pain to add like 7 different thigns to my tray every time I go into s Space STF.

Have they added the Aeroshuttle to the model? IIRC they said that they were going to do that at some point?
if this can't be fixed serverside could we at least save the quickbar setups locally, in the meantime, while you guys are fixing the db issue
there could even be "localSave" and "localRetrieve" buttons so the users can manage it, so a user could intervene and correct it when the quickbars reset.
it would be better if it was a manual correction, that way it wouldn't step on anything people are doing
simple job for one of your junior programmers, they'd have to account for people changing setups and the like, perfect job for an intern, it wouldn't have to touch anything other than the quickbars
After upgrading to T5-U, I swapped the Uni Boff slot to a new officer and changed about 15 slots on 2 action bars while in space. I traveled to Nimbus III and beamed down. When I beamed back up, my bars had reset to the previous pattern. I changed them again, beamed back down then back up again. The bars had reset themselves.
I changed them a third time, then traveled to ESD. I beamed to ESD, then back up. My bars had reset. Changed again and beam to the Academy. Beamed up, bars had reset.
This was before the patch on 10/23/14. I tried again after the patch with the same results, the bars reset each time I go to a ground map and then back to the ship. I tried stripping the ship completely and re-equipping it but it continued to do the same.
I reclaimed the standard Avenger from the C-store and transferred all the same gear and Boffs to it, then set my action bars once again. I beamed to the Academy and back up and the bars had NOT reset in this new ship. They were exactly as I had just set them.
So I switched back to the T5-U, re-equipped the same gear and Boffs I've had the entire time, and beamed to the Academy and back up again. My bars had reset once again.
So for me the bug is happening every time I go to a ground map and back again but seems to only effect my T5-U ship and only started happening after upgrading it.
All of my BOFF skill buttons go missing every time I transport back to my ship, From Spacedock, DS9, a planet during a mission...
My BOFF are still at their stations, but their skills are no longer in the tray. This is most frustrating during missions when I transport back to my ship and am greeted by hostile ships with not skill to fight them with.
This issue was happening before and after the patch yesterday.
I've tested with my T5 Galaxy-X and it seems to be fine. This is only happening on my T6 Guardian Cruiser
Talked to multiple fleet mates, and a lot of them are having the same issue, and they are getting tired of it quickly.
It has been 15 days since this thread was started, do you guys have any clue what is causing this yet?
I know it may not seem game breaking to you, but to me and a lot of others it is.
I'd try getting rid of load-outs temporarily, as I don't really any similar issues before these were implemented.
Have they added the Aeroshuttle to the model? IIRC they said that they were going to do that at some point?
Aeroshuttle? What's that? And if my starship has one built into the saucer section...can I buy it as my shuttle rather than my current delta flyer one?

It sounds like my pro-tem fix may work for you if viable for you to try. Basically; get an alternate ship and dismiss the one you're having problems with. Then re-claim or re-buy it and switch to it. Once set up as you wish...beam to ESD (or the likes) and back up. If it worked, all is now well for you.
Everytime I log in on any space map, ALL bridge officer abilities have been removed from skill bars. Along with other abilities such as "Launch Frigates", Devices such as "Red Matter Capacitor", "Weapons Capacitor" (from the Warp Core), "Subspace Field Modulator", "Refracting Tetryon Cascade", "Rock and Roll", "Intelligence Fleet II", "Fleet Support III"....
Re-saving and loading load-outs does not fix the problem.
Every time changing from ground map to space map my action bars reset to the same as when I first loaded the ship. I've save two different loadouts and it doesn't seem to help, it doesn't even seem like it doesnt anything when you select the loadout. Getting VERY tired of this issue, constantly going to combat without half my actions.
What news on progress in getting this fixed??

I have a romulan with this starship and know how to fix this.
Switch to another ship, then dismiss the Faehet. Now re-claim it and set your bits up again. All has been well with me and mine since.
I just switched to one of my existing ships after purchasing a new one, to find that its loadout was all over the place. I've noticed this before too.
Is it possible that the issue is down to the way the system stores details of each ship and loadout?
For example, it could be that ships are stored in an array, and referred to by index. Then when a new ship is added, the ship is inserted into the array in alphabetical order (this is how ships are ordered in the ship selector), but the loadout pointers to that position in the array are not being updated.
For example, if I have two ships called USS A and USS C, they would be stored like so:
Array[0] = USS A
Array[1] = USS C
So any loadouts for USS C would be looking in position [1] in the array.
If I then add another ship, USS B, the array would be reordered to look like so:
Array[0] = USS A
Array[1] = USS B
Array[2] = USS C
If my loadout for USS C is still looking at position [1], this is no longer correct - this position is now occupied by USS B.
I believe this could account for various other issues which have been experienced since the launch of Legacy of Romulus too - including Bridge Officers no longer appearing on the bridge of a player's starship, and possibly the issue where standard away teams get messed up also.
I'm having the same problem with my FED Romulan character. Matters not what system I'm in, whenever I go from space to ground or back again, my ship's button layout is set back to a previous layout. It seems to hold from zone to zone as long as I don't go to a ground zone. I've pretty much stopped playing this character seriously since having to re-arrange my button bar every time I zone has become too annoying to have to deal with.
Tiriana@digitalhytop
I seem to be having this only on her Falcion ship (still a T5). This issue started with the patch just prior to Delta Rising.
[edit]
This is also happening on my Klingon Vo'Quv Carrier as well.
Affected: Active Space Doffs are cleared
Reproduction: Set Doffs in combat map, sometime between the map change and the next combat the Doffs are cleared.
What happens : Skills icons in trays are constantly reset when moving from sector space to space map or returning to sector space from ground map. Ship weapons remain ok, boffs are in correct stations. Ground abilities not effected.
I am experiencing this exact same issue, I necro'd an old thread through google so, sorry about that lol then I see this thread.....
I also get my skill buttons reset usually on every instance change, aside from travelling which I have yet to test out. whether they are reset or put back to a previous configuration, I am unsure as I have only been playing the game for 5 days. Which file deals with this ? So I can try deleting it and recreating it, if it's corrupted.
Hi. Murphy@zilkahnzel. My most played character. It's very consistent - entering any non-sector space zone. The loadout work-around sometimes fixes it temporarily but my action bars reset to a random selection. I haven't noticed it on my alts yet. I have a lot of ships on Murphy and I've been active with at least two since DR launch.

I'll keep my fingers crossed...good luck.
Thank you for the suggestion but that's a last resort for me. I'd rather not dismiss a T5-U ship and lose the 1200 zen worth of upgrades I've put into it.

upgrades are account-wide and permanent, so whatever ship you spent a token on, you can safely discard and reclaim and you'll be able to upgrade again for free
of course, you'll have to level its mastery again, but they did make it a little easier last patch, and it wasn't exactly that hard before the patch

Umm I'm pretty sure mastery transfers to the next ship if you dismiss the old one. I tested it on my phanto! And the mastery stayed.

Originally was a legacy Maelstrom FPE from before the Tempest came out, which was upgraded via a T5U token.
Issue:
Ground -> Space or vice versa, my active doffs leave their posts
Space -> space -> my hotbar resets to the legacy FPE setup
Solution: (temporarily anyways)
Resave both loadouts to keep the hotbar setup
