Well the mac client keeps crashing back to the desktop after a few mins... I'm a lifer... and bought the Delta pack... Doesn't seem to make any difference. Still not fixed, or even acknowledged

Right now they are more worried about the game play, rather than making sure everyone can play.

When the Lifers start to show up, we might start getting some kind of response. Gold and Silver players not so much.

I'm actually a lifetime subscriber of the game, and I frankly can't see them reacting any different about anything; I even doubt that this problem will ever be knowledge by the developers, or actually corrected at this point; Since it has affected so much people for such long a time, why change anything? as long as they don't loose that much players at the end, they can just put us on the "to do" list and put up a temporary solution until the next large patch/season/expansion. :(

The patch did NOT work. Correction, it did work, it's still crashing more frequently than ever.

And i believe, that the patch was probably to clear up some UI and and Gameclient crashes people were having in-game; About us that are still locked outsides of the game, don't think it's actually up on their priorities right now. Well, i might even be, but as they don't answer any of our comments, i wouldn't know.

This is exactly why Cryptic sucks. Here we have a company that doesn't care about the players who continue to support the game and all we get is Cryptic sticking their noses up in the air at the rest of us. That's no way to run your business.

Well can't believe I am here again after another major upgrade just hope it does not take six weeks to clear. A bit worried that no one has given us an updaye to what is happening. At best we will have to wait till Thursday till the next patch.

been having similar issues. Had a lightbulb go on though. Recently I was playing another game that was also crashing to desktop...until I unplugged my headset. Tried it with STO and so far it seems to be okay. 2 missions in, no crashing. *continues to cross fingers*

No mention about the issue in the Known Issues section of the latest patch notes. No official response from anyone from the dev team.

Such a huge "F*** YOU" coming from the dev team to their playerbase... I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm still pissed off.

You know, i had a similar problem when i first installed "Star Wars: Battlefront II" on my PC once, since it kept crashing i tried searching for different solutions in forums and such... the solution was (if not maddening absurd) unexpected at best: If i plugged a headset plug (even just the plug without anything attached to it) on the microphone port it wouldn't crash... I honestly don't think this is the case to anyone, but i just thought i would share :P

It is a bit disturbing that we can't even get a courtesy visit from a Dev Team member. I have even used twitter to try and contact a Dev team member and I get ignored there also.

I thought that after enduring the *Maintenance* in the middle of last nights peak play time the issues of game client crash to desk top and the empty tray of items and bridge officer abilities that has to be reset each time i enter a map would have been addressed but apparently that's a patch to be named later.....

Because the devs are tired of everyone whining about the crashes. How else do you explain their recorded replies "we are working on it". Yeah. They're working on it? Spending five minutes per week coming up with a fix is not what I would call 'working on it'.

We don't know how long they are working on it. Last night they worked until at least 11pm local time. I know everyone is upset about these crashes but unfounded posts are not helping.

last night was a different patch, and the notes said nothing, not even known about this issue.

Which hasn't been very long since they are more interested in fixing in-game bugs than in fixing the launcher crashes.

So after roughly 20 messages with CS and providing all required information, I was informed that "timeout2" is an issue caused by my internet provider... What the hell? Is that really the best excuse they can up with? I can connect to every website and game ever, except STO and it must be "on my end"...?

Cryptic blames your ISP because it's their generic response rather than taking responsibility that their software is defective. The Star Trek Online game launcher is FUD, or what those in the software industry refer to as 'effed up development'. You can imagine what "F" means since it's an expletive word.

It's slang for screwed up software development when software devs don't fix the glitches and bugs in their own software.

After the last patch, I'm able to log in AND make it past the "timeout2" from yesterday. This time, the patch somehow caused the game to load not-fullscreen (which I had deactived yesterday), still makes the weird bluescreen flash, but I can actually map travel. The only thing I really changed was reinstalling my (GeForce) driver. I had done so manually before, to no avail, and I used the "Experience" thingy they have on their website. Let's see how long this lasts.

Ignored for an entire week. Cryptic's customer service is worse than every company put together. Must be nice.

it's either your graphics that are acting up or you guys need to buy yourselves a new computer.

anyways, it probably will take them few freaking weeks to figure out on what they screwed up on when they launched the Delta Rising Expansion.

It is not us. The game worked just fine before the expansion. So it can't because we need "new copmuters".

I have played Star Trek Online since Beta with this computer. The problem is on Cryptics end, not on ours.

it is people like you that just make the nerd-rage here great. If you'd bothered to read, you'd notice that some people here have great graphic cards and still face this error.

I know, Call it wishful thinking on my part I have lived through these with Every major patch for the last year or two. It just seemed from past experience with these that when a number of lifers start posting here thats when they start to notice.

Im gold and have lost a month and a half maybe more of paid play time because of these. I just hope they dont take 6 weeks AGAIN to fix this, (They have done that in the past.) and that was with 300 or 400 confirmed seperate posters in the thread.

Thats when the Order of Persistence was formed.
