If you want him to help us you gotta make him put pressure on those that can fix the problem rather than defend them with public relations rhetoric if you guys threaten and attack them ...

Right. If we threat or curse at them it wont help any. I am being as patient as i can. I do hope they can fix this issue. come on Cryptic! you can do it! this issue NEEDS to be fixed!

Again, I'm new! For all I know they may deserve it and I'm playing the devil's advocate here lol ... As far as I'm concerned I'll let them prove their worth to me first, we all mess things up sometimes ...

No Brandon is not the one responsible for this I know that never blamed him, but usually when they encounter a problem the bring the servers down for emergency patch/maintenance when something is wrong even if its on the same day as when the patch went live.

I know they are trying to help but at this point we will be going into the weekend and still cant log in.

And like I said a few post ago I tried to patch Redshirt a few minutes ago and still crashed same spot but the crash/dump file is writing this time so im waiting for it to finish sending

If it is affecting the majority of the playerbase, sure they'll do that. This doesn't seem to affect that many people. As I said earlier, my wife's laptop, which doesn't even meet minimum specs for the game, will run it without crashing. It's something specific to certain computers or perhaps certain hardware and/or drivers.

i so agree... i'm happy some of the tips work for some... but for me i have done everything they asked of us anything short of a rebuild of my computer... so I'm a very ticked off paying member at the moment because as of yet, other than a few token be patient posts we're just getting ignored.... if it were site wide they would fix it I think... but we must not matterenough. They haven't done anything and it is due to the patch entirely I had never had any issues before!

Tried as many combinations of options on the launcher as I could, still crashes. Removed the mentioned cache files, still crashes. Only solution....roll back the patch to the previous one. No one was having problems, yes? Fix the puppy then re-issue.

Running WinXP SP3, AMDTurion 2Ghz, 1Gig ram, ATI Radeon Xpress 1100

    Worked fine before this update!

I can?t help wondering if this is related to ATI video cards... I feel like they?ve been mentioned a lot in people?s posts up to now. Is this happening to anyone who -isn?t- using an ATI Radeon card?

This problem -does- occur for me on my computer that uses a Radeon X1600, but not on the one that uses a Nvidia card...

so I still crash at 70% loading screen.

Is it possible that the gameclient is not receiving the login information from the launcher?

Totally agree... remove the patch fix the glitch and try again... I know that is selective systems for whatever reason... and i am sure there is a common denominator... but we do not have the resources to figure out exactly which thing we all have in common that is causing it. Best case scenario is to take out what we know must have created the problem.. 10/3/2013 patch.

also am wonder since its been over 38 hours since i was last on can i just wait 2 more hours and they will give the 22 shards I would have gotten if not for the patch causing me to miss them? lol... jk just pleae please please fix it guys!

win xp sp3 8gb RAM, raedon vid X300 I think.

By Jove you just might be onto something with the ati Raedon card.... Brilliant any and all who are having the problem that can look in system information display. should be able to see if that is what they are running might be it actually, because my friend just told me he is in and he has G force. mine is a decent enuff card but older Radeon x300 series....

yea i cant get past character loading screen, was playing fine, then just crashed (with no crash report either). Now can load to char select screen, but when i try both safe mode, and normal mode after it gets to around 45 or so, game freezes, and i have to force quit it from task manager, oh well will try again tomorrow, hopefully it will be fixed by then.

What would it be listed under? "Display Adapter"?

Mine's coming up as an Intel GMA950, 945 GM, something like that...
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...

I haven't changed anything, PC hasn't done any updates or anything. I assume whatever the issue was must have been at cryptics end.
