While I ordinarily have fun with player houses, at least in single-player games, I don't really see this MMO as being one of those games that really needs it. Wouldn't really add anything, besides being another form of Bank or something. I doubt many people would run into other people's homes in order hang out and to…
Oh scratch what I first wrote, below**, I thought you meant mounts, not companions. I haven't noticed any glow effect on companions just because they turn 30, myself. Certain companions do have a bit of a glow (like the Fawn) but that's just a specific graphic skin. Doesn't happen to all companions. As to the idea ... I'd…
A fair number, but nowhere near "all." My main might have something like 16-18, some alts have maybe 7-10, other alts may have 5 or 6 (the cheapie or pack ones, mostly). Much as I like collecting pets, I've reached the point where I don't see too much reason to collect more, just for the sake of collecting. The ones I…
Badger - my main already has one (got it during that mega pet sale), don't need another one Idle Slots - my main already has one upgrade, don't need another one Bank Slots - I did buy more of these on my main. Already had 7 upgrades I think (it's been on sale before), so I maxed it to the full current 10. Or whatever it…
How are other people doing what? --Using the 4 25% blue workers to finish a task completes the 100% speed bonus objective. Is the extra slot not opening up when you complete it? --You are correct that 100% does not equal "zero time required for task." You cannot ever get a task to complete in 0 seconds. The math doesn't…
More PANTS for female characters. No skirt/loin-cloth drapery pieces attached. Preferably not silly pantaloons or shiny disco pants. More non-poofy-sleeved shirts and tunics that aren't "going to the fancy ball" clothing. At least one more "casual clothing" slot, two more would be better. eg, I was disappointed the Winter…
I got 2 Stags from opening 5 boxes, once. That's the closest to "in a row" I've gotten. I've gotten a fair number of the "good things" out of lockboxes over the many months, but relative to how many I've opened .. the "luck" percentage is still very low. :D
You can mail account bound items to other characters (that are on the same account), now. You just have to type in your account name into the mail before you can attach the item.
I liked my sled so much I upgraded it to 80% speed. First time I've done that .. which was so much more fun to ride around in than 50% that it made me decide to finally use up even more of my pretty large stock of diamonds to make my pig mount 80% speed too. Helped that people sometimes put up the mount manual in AH for…
People have been wanting this for a long time. Maybe one day. My current method (at lvl60) is to keep 4 companions that I'm likely to rarely want unequipped (like augment + 3 fave active-bonus pets) and leave the last slot for the pets that I keep switching in and out (for training new ones, for goofing off/looks etc) and…
As far as I've been able to tell, no, you can't. Which is why that aspect of the proposed solution (transfer Zen then contact support about what you want) doesn't seem equable at all. It means if you already transferred the Zen you bought, that you'd have to buy more Zen to transfer again? Maybe if you send in a ticket and…
Sleds are fun! ....although I see no need for more than one chr. to have it. My main gets a sled+mimic (from an alt), the rest will be going for the Mimic.
Hm. Well don't I feel stupid now for saying earlier "it's only a sale." Teach me to only skim the news page. If they're dropping the companion prices even post-sale (and by quite a bit overall) then ... that's interesting, for a variety of reasons. It makes me hope that the upgrade-companion price will fall…
Not necessarily. Many who spend cash on the game (or save a lot of AD) may have bought one or two, but I doubt many have bought a lot of them (or only bought a Stone...). Which isn't surprising at all, whatever the price, because most probably dont' see much reason to have more than a few companions...until the Sword Coast…
I'm horrendously tempted (since I like to collect the pets) but still....most of the Zen pets I'm not particularly interested in actually using (even for their Active bonus), so the whole pack is probably not for me. Going to have to look at them all carefully and decide how many (if any) I'm willing to shell out bucks…
I ignore the tiny AoE circle unless it pops very close to me or the deer casts it 1 second before the fight ends and I use it to heal for a second or two. Mostly it's the regen spell it casts that I like. Pretty effective when slotted with lots of power/regen items. The regen doesn't pull aggro to the deer, unlike the…
Well, it's definitely easier for the GWF with that speed boost. Totally unfair, lol. I've made it up there with him. I keep trying with my DC and keep getting "this close" but so far haven't made it. I'm obsessed. I will get up there with the DC if it kills me! I found if you do the shift-dodge before the ramp just before…
I totally, to the max, support this suggestion. I've often thought the same thing myself. I don't personally have to have it be numbers - even a color bar that slowly disappears or something would work. Some indicator without having to ALT/point.
I don't think you need anything special to get there. However doing such may make it easier to do it repeatedly/more consistently. But I landed on the rock ledge just below with my DC (missed the angle slightly). Haven't tried too many times since that attempt, but I'm sure I could make it if I just aim better. :P There…
Do enough of the contests to craft the purple fishing pole (it really does make a big difference), then fish like mad. Try to win a few of the fish contests now and then too, that helps boost Lights-per-hour a fair amount (45 if you win, 25 for 2nd). Not to sound like a broken record, but fishing with the purple rod really…
For me it usually goes: 3 and 4 are healing pots/thingies. 5 is a buff (currently always the Squash Soup, because I made tons of them summer festival and still haven't come close to using them all), 6 is mount, 7 is the Artifact (don't usually have one I'd use in combat, yet). If I have an Artifact where I might want to…
It would certainly be nice if there was some use for those emblems and ring of lights at some point, for anyone who runs a lot of the contests and amasses a lot of them. I'd suspect (but don't know...) that there probably will be - new crafting tasks or exchanging them for Lights of S. or some such.
It would definitely be nice if there were more alternative ways to gain a moderate/decent amount of AD over time than PvP, running Daily group dungeons to try and get things to sell on the AH/please Rhix, and/or creating small armies of Leadership alts. The last being what I, also a largely solo/non-Guild player, ended up…
I like the Sword Coast idea, but I doubt it'll happen. They want the AD motivation/sink. But you could set it up as a series of "upgrade" dungeons that one would have to do many many times for a companion to go from even white to green. eg. a pretty major time sink. Gold won't happen either, at least not for that low,…
I've had a lot of fun with that spot. When I get bored of fishing I'll periodically go up there and jump a few times as a break. I'm not sure it's really possible to measure who gets the farthest via screenshots and the forum ;) but here's a couple pics for you. (edit) I've never been able to land on the rocks at the far…
I doubt they'll double the star reward mid-festival - altho this is just conjecture since they didn't double the mount tokens for mid-summer festival - but who knows. They might do something like being able to turn in a whole lot of Lights for an extra star or some such like that. I wouldn't count on it, but you can hope.…
I've tried Mystic horse, Pig, White Tiger, and the "small deer" (trade bar merchant). I have a lockbox Stag too but haven't tried it. The only way I can think of to compare them is to say it feels a bit like the different type of wheel transmission types might if taken in light snow without chains. Rear-wheel drive. Front…
As much as I love the Fawn I don't think I'd spend to upgrade it (yes I could easily afford the AD cost). At least not for a long time. I haven't upgraded any companion yet ... well, except for one Cleric, because I accidentally hit the button and for some reason had no confirmation screen (glitch or something) so it…
Yeah, there's no point running from hole to hole or chasing the colored lights. Just stay by one hole and wait for it to "open" again. It takes maybe 4-5 seconds. Or position yourself between two close together holes and bounce back and forth. I see people running halfway across the lake to chase the colors...not efficient…
