Have you purchased these items? Please share your opinions on them with us.

This weeks sales include:

The Honey Badger companion - 25% off at 1,875 Zen

Companion Idle Slots - 25% off at 75 Zen Adds 8 slots.

Manycoins Bank Slot - 50% off at 300 Zen Adds 16 slots.

How would you rate the Honey Badgers usefulness and performance per class compared to other companions?

Will I need more Manycoins Bank Slot and / or Idle Companion Slots at max level?

Thank you for sharing.

I have 6 characters and never really had a need to increase my bank slots for any of them except one. I'd be more inclined to spend money on those if they were account unlocks not per character. $6 (normally) for 16 slots? No thanks.

But to answer your question, you don't need any of those things at max level. However I might pick up 8 companion slots for each of my characters as 75 cents is reasonable enough.

Bank Slots - A luxury purchase, depending on how brutal you are regarding inventory clutter and collecting stuff. A greater bag of holding is generally more bang for your buck, as it's more space, portable, and can be traded between characters (even sold if you get hard up). Bank slots are stuck with the character you use to purchase them.

Companion Idle Slots - Are you going to collect companions? If yes, you'll want this... but even so, maybe not until the space you have starts to fill up. If not, the ones you already have are plenty.

Honey Badger - I do have one, and I find it more of an entertaining companion than utilitarian one. It's a striker, so it can't offer much other than extra DPS, even when it behaves. It can't tank for you, disable mobs, or provides buffs or heals. Sometimes it enrages and runs off to attack things that aren't aggroed. When it falls in combat, it doesn't pop right back up when you're done fighting, but sleeps until it feels better. I'm actually quite fond of the thing, but I can't recommend it to anyone looking for a really helpful pet.

I bought extra bank slots a long time ago for use in storing rank 5+ enchants under the fusion system. At the time I'd bought a bag of holding and a greater bag and for some reason thought I could only have one of each. At the present time, I would only buy more bank slots if we got an account bank. At that point, it would be worth it.

The only thing worth it is the bank slots on your primary character or a mule character.

More or less this particularly given that:

Personally I am considering getting expansions on two of my mule characters.

If you can afford it I think the Manycoins banks slot is a decent investment since you WILL need the space eventually even if you only relegate the character as a mule.

If any of these items were account wide, I would get them without question.

Seeing as I have few companions at the moment I will wait for the next sale and examine my circumstances then.

Since all the gear I seem to find is quickly useless once I level a few times I will pass on the Bank even though I think it's a great price.

As for The Honey Badger, I want useful companions, not so much a Comic relief. :p

If anyone else has other opinions, please let us know.
Thanks for all the great responses, Good luck and have fun all.

I've definitely got bank slots in the past. I have 6 main toons and 6 mules. The main toons have greater bags of holding and several extra bank slots. But I like keeping some stuff. Companion idle slots will only be useful if you collect a lot of companions. I got the honey badger for my dc for the active, but only coz I had the ad for the luxury.

I bought the bank slots on a few characters - 18 slots for 300 Zen is better than 24 slots for 1000 Zen. Yes, it's not as convenient, but I park few characters at the shrine in PE just to invoke and run leadership tasks, so it's not such a big deal to ride over to the bank.

The most number of companions I have on a single character is 8 or so, so the idle slots aren't really useful to me.

As another person pointed out, the Honey Badger is kinda neat in a comical way, but I prefer more useful companions - like tanks or healers, so this one is a pass for me.

Sometimes I'd swear Cryptic is trolling me... figures that bank slots would go half-off, like three days after I finally caved and bought a set.

Still one of the better sales in recent weeks tho'. :p

Doubt i'll grab any of those tbh:/

Dont need the bank slots as I run my toons in their own guild so I have guild banking for them.
Probably wait to see if the Honey Badger goes -50% sometime rather than this & the idle slots are meh..

Wouldnt mind grabbing a new companion to lvl tho while im doing all the Sharandar/Dread quests..

Honey badger is a waste IMO (I have 2 already and don't keep them active as they are not as good as many of the others I have)

Bank Slots - I have already bought a lot of these sadly before they ever started sales which I wish I had seen coming as I would have waited and bought a bunch more. As it stands now I have every guild bank tab unlocked and filled so I will very likely be buying about 20 or more of these spread out between my 8 main toons.

Companion slots - same thing I just filled up and bought my first expansion on my TR with this sale I may as well buy another 8 slots for the other 7 toons I play as they will sooner rather then later need them as well

    Cheers

The bank slots I'm considering. The Honey Badger is cute, but there are other companions I'd rather buy first. I doubt I would ever need to expand my idle companion slots.

I am most likely going to buy the Idle companion slots 3 times for one of my characters, she already has a full roster of 29 companions (including a badger) and I need the space for upcoming companions.

The bank slots are VERY tempting, and 300z is a fair price (what they should be all the time, IMO), will probably get a few of those depending on how much luck I have in DD events this week.

The badger is not that great as an adventuring companion, but the active bonus is good. I do like the badger for SCA though, if you are building a 4 man epic team to go for the Thief companion. The badger has 3 Perception dice + 3 Combat + 2 Thievery Dice, which can be quite useful depending on the other companions you use.

(I use Galeb Dhur for heavy combat, Sprite for Thievery, Sylph for magic and Badger for perception, it works well for my SCA runs).

Badger - my main already has one (got it during that mega pet sale), don't need another one
Idle Slots - my main already has one upgrade, don't need another one
Bank Slots - I did buy more of these on my main. Already had 7 upgrades I think (it's been on sale before), so I maxed it to the full current 10. Or whatever it is. Another chr. I bought a couple more as well. AD turned to Zen, didn't spend any real $$$

A couple other alts have 1 or 2 Bank Slot upgrades as well, but they don't need more. Mostly I rely on the blue bags for basic alts, so they never have to move from a mailbox, ever. I don't ever "play" them anymore, and I'm that lazy.

Honey Badger USED to be the most OP companion in the game.. then there was the big nerf....

What? There was ONE decent striker pet and instead of putting the other strikers on par they nerfed the badger?

Bank slots, then. At least they cannot been nerfed.

300z for 16 bank slots on one character is, well, a terrible investment (I don't really need them as well, so, i don't really care much). It has to be an account unlock for it to be worth 300z (base price without sale should be max 200z per character).

Companion slots are interesting for collectionists, as currently there are way more companions than slots. But chances are unless you are terribly rich you won't need them on more than 1 character (collecting them on all characters can prove quite costly, so 75 for extra slots is not a problem, as you will be spending at least 10x that on every single companion)

Badger is meh overall. Fun, but not that much useful.

The Badger has a good active bonus and *definitely* has real personality. Actual usefulness as a summoned pet is arguable, but it's deftly entertaining.

As for bank slots, good deal. I recommend buying it for your mule character (or whichever you think will become a mule character in the future).

As for the inactive slots... I personally wouldn't purchase them myself (though I did buy the mega-pack of companions when it was on-sale and it came with a truckload of additional inactive slots already). I suggest you only consider this if you 1) run out of slots and 2) have no intention of distributing your companions. Your collection status is updated by just having the companion enter your inventory (no need to actually equip it). So if you begin to run out of inactive companion slots, redistribute them to alts (my way of handling the scenario anyway).
