Fawn of Shiallia circle of healing is bad.

So I start fighting, this fawn runs off and pops aoe heal away from me. I have not had the aoe heal one time where I did not have to run to circle and start fighting. Think the aoe heals needs to be targeted on me not the pet. honestly I can care less if he dies, but if I do, deer chilli, here I come! :)

I'm honestly not that impressed with the fawn to be honest. I have it on my gwf which is level 50 at the moment. I put 60 blue items of youth on the fawn and it really doesn't do any better job with making me not have to drink potions than the white CD. When I get to 60 and start buffing my hp higher with enchants etc it might be better with a big hp pool though.

I ignore the tiny AoE circle unless it pops very close to me or the deer casts it 1 second before the fight ends and I use it to heal for a second or two.

Mostly it's the regen spell it casts that I like. Pretty effective when slotted with lots of power/regen items. The regen doesn't pull aggro to the deer, unlike the cleric companion's skills do. The AoE does a bit when first cast but very easy to get aggro back on you instead, and the deer bounds away.

Yeah, currently it behaves as if it is mostly for ranged classes. For melee classes, Cleric Disciple might be more useful.

Btw, has anyone seen Fawn's healing circle crit? I tried equipping it with Critical Strike gear and using Damaran Shepherd's active bonus, but I have never seen it crit. Whereas Cleric Disciple's Healing Word can crit.

I feel the same way, wish the healing circle would target my location,
    and not his location..

but the one thing that i find kinda annoying is when he runs up to
the enemy and stare the monster to death, and runs away.

For those of you who have the Fawn: what's the cooldown and duration/uptime of the regeneraton buff, Nature's Vigor?

I was gonna' get one for my HR, because she kept begging me for one, but after seeing it in game and now reading this, I'm glad I didn't do the grind for it ... Got her the Ice Bow and that's it ...

Looks like the humble, aggromagnetic CD is still the Queen of the Companion pack ...

I will say though that the Fawn's boing boing, bouncy bouncy, boing boing animation is an absolute HOOT, and that "nose in the air, couldn't give a ...." look is just classic ... Lolz

OT: As an Aussie, after seeing the Fawn's animation, I really want a Kangaroo pet now (!!! Active Bonus is to increase storage space and run speed Lol ...)
Is it finally a T5/U/T6 KDF Science Ship?

I'll have to double check when I get home, but IIRC it was 10 seconds for the regen buff, and 30-35 seconds for the healing circle.

He should use that circle under his owner's feet rather then his own. So stupid when a party runs to a mob pack, attacks, and Fawn creates the circle 100 miles away from encounter.

Yeah I found it weird that it doesn't cast it on me , would make more sense as a spell it has to target on the owner.

I'm really not sure what all the hype is about these companions. Buy a cat or a stone, stack HP and regen on it like crazy, and you have your own built-in healer that doesn't aggro enemies and buffs your stats.

Otherwise, find a few for your active companion slots and you're set.

As a TR, the Fawn is excellent for me, just for the regen alone. After a fight I just stand there and regen almost to full health. She gets better as she ranks up too. Plus the 100 Recovery is nice!

I like the sneezing. For awhile I couldn't figure out where the sneezing was coming from until I saw her do it. She sneezed, shook her head, looked around, then assumed the nose-in-the-air-I-don't give-a @#$% attitude!

For dungeons you are completely right.

However for doing campaigns etc it's nice to have a healer pet, especially if you aren't fully geared yet, to reduce how many potions you need.

True. I did just to rock the Cleric until level 30 or so. If it's a character I'm keeping, I'll buy a cat or a stone, load them up with HP and regen gear, and be set.
