no they're generally still weaker due to less specialised skills though you may like a specific active slot bonus and want to upgrade it for that reason. as neverwinter grows in popularity the zen store gets more and more accessible.. cheers!

Account wide would be great however I do not see that happening anytime soon. With so many new games coming out on the horizon it would be in this companies best interest to lower prices across the board. Pro Tip: Happy customers = Loyal customers. If they continue to gouge their fan base with all of the ridiculously high prices there will be a mass exodus come February and March.

I think the reduction in the price of the bags and the price of packs profession would be very welcome, and encourage more people adiquirir ZEN.

So, the game has now reduced the price of Zen market companions drastically, even after the current discount event ends. As a result (Although this was true before as well), the cost to upgrade companion quality is now ridiculously overpriced.
Hm. Well don't I feel stupid now for saying earlier "it's only a sale." Teach me to only skim the news page. If they're dropping the companion prices even post-sale (and by quite a bit overall) then ... that's interesting, for a variety of reasons. It makes me hope that the upgrade-companion price will fall eventually.

But I actually sorta think it's the opposite: since it will be a lot cheaper to get a companion, I think upgrade prices don't have to be lowered by quite as much (overall), since the total cost (non-epic Zen companion+upgrading it) is still lower than before even if they never lower the upgrade pricing.

I'd be pretty content if it went something like 50k-75k (white to green), 200-250k (green to blue) and 550k-600k (blue to purple). I think that at least blue to purple should stay fairly high, actually, since that's what gets you the 3rd companion skill. It's the low ranks that should be lowered the most, since they don't tend to give you as much in return in terms of a difference to their combat ability/usefulness, especially white to green.

Now about those mount upgrade prices ....

i really think the companions need to be made account wide like the mounts considering the price they charge for them i think its harsh to make us buy them again and again for each toon
sorry for grammar spelling punctuation but i am dyslexic i do my best sorry if it offends you

After running with the Fawn for a couple of days, I would like to see more passive companions. Its been quite nice not to have to chase after anything. They come to me now. Its like the Fawns not even there. I only had one thing go for it, a Powrie. The Fawn ran, the Powrie lost interest, and came back to me.

Now personally, I ditch mine now and again. If I'm facing a group and don't others to join the party (and we all know how our companions now love to drag more people the party) I dismiss them. If I want to move somewhere without attention, I dismiss them. Nothing worse than moving ten feet down a path and having your companion decide that the best way to get where you are is to first, go through the Zombie infested lake, then over the Golem infested hill, then through the DreadLord group hanging out over by a big rock, then to you saying "here I am!"

ive always thought all zen based non consumable items should have 2 price rates boe(1 character) and bind on account. lets say player A is obsessed with the honey badger she might be willing to pay 5k zen and have it show up at the reclaim booth as a bop
but player B has desides they want to buy all the spiders available on his drow only for the standard rate.

I think a similar system should work with mounts and outfit packs a boe version and a BOA version. this kind of system I think would encourage people to buy more character slots and be more faithful to a single account as well. If people are afraid of losing their 1 account they are less likely to grief and exploit as well. It may also encourage more of a pokemon effect if your in vesting in all your characters.

They didn't make it clear if the new pack was only for the weekend along with the sale.
It seems like they wouldn't bother making a pack if it was only for the weekend.
I ask because I leave for vacation tomorrow and don't have time to save the money.

It's very hard to equip multiple characters, especially now that there are companion active bonuses and artifacts. I refrained from getting nice companions for all 5 of my toons until the sale. The sale helped a lot. Lower upgrading cost would help a lot too. The number of hours of gameplay required to deck out multiple toons right now is far beyond what most people have the time to grind for.

Yeah it is good , now I just hope they drastically lower the upgrade cost , I have so many companions I want to upgrade but at current prices it's just out of the question.

I've always defended the upgrade cost, simply because it was virtually the same (converting AD <--> Z) as a Purple Z-Store companion, and as the stats/abilities of your White or Green companion may suit your play style better, it was sometimes worth upgrading ...

Now however, it most definetly isn't worth it, so like others, I would hope Cryptic plans a similar price drop on Upgrades ...
Is it finally a T5/U/T6 KDF Science Ship?
