  • Would be great but: (i) There are not enough people remaining to do decent matchmaking. (ii) This idea runs contrary to the idea of having refinable equipment which gives an incentive for whales to pay real money to get the RP quickly. So at present (and I assume for the foreseeable future) if relatively fair fights are…
  • The 'new' content will probably consist of some of the dungeons that were removed. I know in most games this would sound like a bad joke, but I think this is precisely what will happen. It also strikes me that this is the most 'efficient' way to minimize the ongoing development costs for an MMO. Every few modules raise the…
  • Shouldn't such assets revert to unbound once the probation period is over?
  • I have heard about green leadership ITEM assets before, but as far as I know there is no benefit whatsoever from using them. Since leadership doesn't 'craft' items such as shirts, etc where you have different level of success, this makes them superfluous.
  • So if it lasts for 6 second with a 6 sec cool-down does that mean that it is effectively up all the time. Also as I am not rich, if I keep it at blue (rank 30) this means that I will get a 20' aura which gives 15% crit chance to allies and 30% miss chance for enemies?
  • How does control resists work/ Does +50% mean that any control effects last for half as long or is it soemthing like 100/(100+CR) long. In any case is it significant and useful for a non-tank? Also what is so good about the passives of the Bahamut's champion pack?
  • There is probably a 'sweet spot' where the players are at their strongest in the 61-70 range (until they get full BiS gear) for doing dailies, which is actually a pretty chilling indictment of the new stat scaling system.
  • I would like as it would make a great quality of life improvement. But given that Cryptic made the older 24 slot bags BtC "to protect us" which I am sure purely coincidentally happened at almost exactly the same time that they released new larger bags, I think the chances are near to zero. Not to mention the laughable…
  • Out of curiosity, did the founder packs on the Xbox there give AD? And (assuming there have not been any AD exploits there) what has been the trajectory of their AD/ZEN exchange?
  • Actually if you put it like that it really doesn't bode well (or perhaps not even as well as before).... I did think the initial PR announcement was promising, but judging from the actions since it is hard not to be very disappointed....
  • Not sure if you meant to word it that way, but currently this makes it sound as if these things might change in future. Since I can't imagine the total removal of either the PvP or PvE side later on that only leaves the bit about PvP being consensual...
  • Exactly this - a lot of the gear is BtA and you can use seals to get the missing items.
  • Not a bad idea - although of course a lot of tweaking would be needed. While I am not sure that any MMO does this for raids, Dungeons & Dragons Online (another D&D MMO) does a similar scaling effect for the number of players in quests, which can have up to 6 players and some of which are as long or even longer than the T2…
  • Are you absolutely sure about HP? Because I think I did some testing before and HP (can't remember whether base or from enchants/runestones) from my Augment carried over to my toon.
  • Well Negation is a DR reduction enchant that requires stacking, while Soul-forge is a 'Get-out-of-jail-free card every X seconds'. Consequently, it is hardly surprising that non-tanks (especially non-melee) would be better off with a Soul-forge.
  • Actually isn't new BiS gear par for the course in a MMO? The difference here being the (insane) refinement grind that is required.....
  • I haven't had a chance to try the strategy in your guide out yet but it is always great when people take the time to help others out like this.
  • A possible solution would be to allow Sigils when blue or higher to give the standard RP values when used for refining with this value unaffected by double XP events or same type artifact refining. This would allow them not to be a total waste of RP when something better comes along.
  • I think an Erinyes of Belial is a pretty solid contender for any non-tank. The fact that it is account bound is a plus too, although realistically most people will only be able to manage one well-geared character given the insane RP grind...
  • I got ZERO blue drops taking my GWF from 60-70 in vigilance quests, but have got a lot of blued drops taking my Paly from 1-30 questing. So my best guess is that this is a 'feature' of the 'new' level 61-70 vigilance quest content.....
  • Err, no - please don't comment on maths topics if you haven't done the calculation. Pres Wards are 10 ZEN each while Coals are 1000 ZEN each so the breakeven point is 1% success rate. So at 5% you will be much better off using Pres Wards even if the 'real' success rate is as much as 5 times lower than stated. And I am by…
  • You are sort-of right in that the easiest EPIC dungeons are meant to be VT and LoL. However, I and many other players I know, have had ridiculous lag in VT for some reason. LoL is doable IF you can find a decent tank and healer but you might want to get some decentish level 70 Blues off the AH before you try it.
  • I noticed this yesterday and it will be really helpful for alts as the most vital item to acquire is the armour with an armour slot (and 15iK HP) that costs 600 seals. Apart from that you can make do with blues from the AH.
  • Levels 61-69 is PROBABLY not all that bad provided new players do all the standard leveling locations so they are over-leveled going into the 'new' vigilance content. The first few vigilance quests also give you some okayish blues and greens which I think might just be enough. The real issue is what happens to them when…
  • I really doubt that most of these ideas will be implemented despite (or cynically even because) they seem quite decent. What MIGHT be done though (perhaps next mod?) is to have all boon grinds at level 70 only. That would at least help newbies from constantly getting one-shot at level 60 and rage-quiting the game...
  • Following on from this advice - try to get 4 artifacts to 60 to maximize the bonus (relative to cost) from those, and get the highest tier of level 70 gear you can find. You should have at least blue tier 70 as when I checked they weren't too expensive in the AH.
  • So long as they reduced the power of each passive this might lead to more interesting build combinations.
  • I think this is a really good idea - DDO has something very similar and it works fairly well. It would allow newbies to gear up while enabling vets to be challenged. Err, I am pretty sure you are wrong on both counts. The vast majority of the work is creating the dungeon and monster assets. Once that is done it would be…
  • Very disappointed with this. ZEN bags are hideously expensive in any case and the only minor saving grace was that they were moveable to new alt. They could at least have made them BtA...
