So I know it seems complicated, and we are told it can't be done. But, how many of you would wait in queue for an Item level tiered match? I would. No one feels accomplished going up against new players and winning 1000-0 or losing to a BIS team 0-1000 and sitting at the fire roasting marshmallows waiting for the pain to end. So I say we need fairness, a fair fight, a real chance to feel like champions and heroes of Neverwinter. How many agree? Sorry, wrong forum section.lol

I think you are in the minority then , a while ago the matchmaking system was much stricter when matching teams up and it got to the point where it was taking a hour or more for the queue to pop which led to many many threads on here complaining about the system.

    Would be great but:

    (i) There are not enough people remaining to do decent matchmaking.

(ii) This idea runs contrary to the idea of having refinable equipment which gives an incentive for whales to pay real money to get the RP quickly.

So at present (and I assume for the foreseeable future) if relatively fair fights are what you are hoping for, your only choice is to play other larger MMOs that have ELO-tiered systems.

They could at least allow dueling anywhere you want. That would not be difficult to implement. If you don't want to get requests to duel someone, then they could easily add an option to automatically decline those requests.

Itemlvl doesnt mean much and trust me people would cheat with specific itemlvl items that give more power than others despite having the same itemlv.

True tiering wouldn't solve cheating, but look at it now. I have the cloak, rings, and banner; seems getting the title is impossible with the current matchmaking for non-BIS players now. I am proposing a better chance for that

It's possible depends on which class you play and how long you can play + ofc luck factor. I still get pretty balanced matches once in a while.

Item level is worse than gear score.

A truly balanced PvP would have everyone wearing equal quality gear upon entry. Thus PvP would be (as it should be) a matter of payer skill..NOT the gear you're wearing. And other games have proven how very easy it is to implement that.

If I could tab out and do something else, and then when the queue was accepted it popped me back in like in Starcraft 2 I would wait, but since you can't tab out or you miss the queue popping up 15 minutes or so is my limit before I just give up, alt-f4, and play something else.

Don't stop wailing on the GWF, that you do 10 damage to.... You'll win eventually....

The matches will get better only when more people play and the matchmaking system can actually match up comparable people. right now its a crapshoot, with the odds of getting a one sided fight are much higher than the odds of getting a evenly matched contest.

With the upcoming pvp mod, domination que population may increase enough to make matchmaking functional.

That's my experience. Even if I'm on the team that get's crushed, it still affords me the opportunity to improve and learn.

That is my biggest hope for Strongholds. As well as a couple really decent new battlegrounds. New pvp content "could/should" generate new interest in pvp.

I don't think it would be too hard to make 2 system - general pvp q and strict q.

In general 2nd one can be as simple as just more bracketed version of general. It would still be better matching.

Let people have both by choice.

I hope there will be some difference with strongholds. At least I'd like to see in-guild pvp sessions or guild vs guild events, stronghold vs stronghold events.

My real main concern is 'arm pen' balancing and general HAMSTER class balance. You won't see fair pvp fight until you got to some state of balance and with current stupid changes it is fairly impossible.

i chose the balanced queue by sure, and wait for 30min for one game, you can easily farm, what this game is mostly about, until the queue pops up
all these matches with imbalanced teames are a waste in every aspect, even if you win the match
mostly the mix of rank 8 with rank 12 leeds in blind yelling and insulting between the teammembers

I say this a lot ... and one more time.

    Today as all days

I fought 4 times and like most days I won two and one that I lost was close

    The other... not so much

Many were lost couse folks quit or fought just to kill the other team and not capture points

My point is it is not as broken as many say

    @urlord
depends on the time you queue but getting mixed with Blue geared "zero-tenacity-newbies" and next match with "T-negated and T feytouched Near-Bis-PVP-Monster" just makes no sense to me.

I really would like to avoid those matches in advance, just to not take part in the following trash talk some heavy geared player start lots of times, missing any solid sense about the reasons of being "lonely at node 2" and bashing all teammates through the hole game

So to be clear in words: I would be very happy to take part in this game --> without these blind maniacs.

I just played 4 G PVPs and all were lost by a big margin.... but

All has at least 2 people leave in my party

How do you recover from that?

If they stay they at least spread out the damage.

I believe the leaver penalty should be progressive

    1st time a day 1 hour

    second time, 2 hours

    3rd time, 3 hours

There must be a way to see if there was a server disconnect... then 30 min... to let the server stabilize

I agree but would actually like to see "Harsher Sentences" for the guilty parties. Obviously, disconnects should be excluded from penalties.
