Given that this has been going on since day 1? No, not really. Especially since given they allowed this to occur after the same thing happening for nine months in STO, I don't think PWE/Cryptic know the definition of "precision" or "patience". Precision would have had the copy/pasted AH code vetted for lack of issues.…
The FAQ says that a wipe will be performed in advance of Headstart, which was prior to the current state, which PWE calls "open beta" but is effectively a soft launch where they get to hide behind "beta" as an excuse for any bugs or poor state of the game. But no, we're well into their "NO WIPES EVAR !!!!!1111" territory,…
Well when people bail on the game because the economy is in shambles, you can have your $150 worth of fun by yourself, I guess. Pretty expensive masturbation session, though.
The only people who would leave due to a complete wipe are those who care about their own stuff more than the long-term health of the game. One would think that the game would be better off without them.
Given that the bug was in place since Alpha (and accurately, since Star Trek Online) and Cryptic/PWE didn't fix it? He'd be my friend too. Hell, I'd be jealous that he thought of it before I did.
To be fair, that was pretty obvious from the "we aren't doing any wipes!" and the cash shop being 100% open. Just sayin'. (I am sympathetic, though. This is why you should nail them to the wall with a chargeback.)
What was really amateurish was ignoring bug reports since alpha AND the fact that this exact same bug - with exact same steps to reproduce - was in Star Trek Online for over nine ****ing months. Only issuing a 7 hour rollback for an issue that's existed since OB soft-launch is also pretty amateurish, but that's the big one.
