  • Glad someone else pointed this out. Petition to change the money-grubbing nature of rezzes to something more equitable, but rez is not a 4E cleric power.
  • The purpose of these faux RMT shenanigans is to try and prevent people from making actual cash from playing the game. Cash is the incentive that drives professional farmers/botters/scammers in several developing countries who in turn inflate the economy, camp resources in the open world, and and are the primary source of…
  • Are you talking about lineage feats? I'm not really clear.
  • There's videos of wizards running around while spamming their at-wills at least. The way they have to hold their crystal ball independent from their body movement looks goofy even, but it suggests there will be a good deal of run n cast.
  • "High res/low res" separate downloads have nothing to do with performance. It just means less downloading if you choose low res textures; less time to wait around, less stress on their servers, etc. If you're going to display low rez textures due to the limited RAM on your gfx card, why download the high rez textures at…
  • While Neverwinter isn't strictly 4E... this isn't 4E. 4E Wizards have their cool utility buffs, but they can't be nothing but buffbots, summoning is very limited, etc. They mostly have powers that inflict damage and apply some kind of condition in the process. Plenty of 3E ardents have complained about it but that's how it…
  • Devs claim that Neverwinter isn't "based" on 4E or any specific edition. 4E does have things like "saves" (defenses) and AC you know, this game doesn't. Although it seems to draw heavily on 4E for lore and flavor of abilities.
  • Obligatory snide comment about how they can put this much money into CG marketing but can't be arsed with functional forums. Not that I have anything against CG trailers... I know you gotta market... but I hear forums can help with that too.
  • Makes more sense to just select some deity-specific paragon paths if anything. You "choose" your deity by picking an appropriate path when you hit lvl 31.
  • They've already said as much that rewards will be mostly controlled by some formula. You can't hand-place the goods for good or ill. (Hoping we can make some "quest" items though, either statless, or only exist while inside the mission.)
  • Perfect World Entertainment is the American division of Perfect World which has the above mentioned region ban list. You'd have to check if "Perfect World" ( 完美时空 ) is offering the game for Asia regions. (Likely not announced at this time...)
  • Eberron books might!
  • Pretty much how I took it, and no argument on DDO. There's still a big difference in my mind between a real orchestra and a good fake orchestra, so when someone says "an orchestra is a must", I tend to think of the real thing, but that is a relative rarity in video game soundtracks.
  • SoZ was also composed on an "electric piano"... as was all the baldur's gate and NWN1 games... some people are just better at it than others. The composer actually had the option of recording with an orchestra, but instead spent budget on more music time (and food for himself presumably...)
  • The races part of the website doesn't mention halflings, and we've never seen one in videos. So I'm not feeling all that confident at the moment.

  • Forget Eladrin, it's a high crime that Halflings are not included. Seriously. Human, dwarf, elf, halfing. That's the minimum core races for anything D&D ever.

  • First confirmation (I think) that there will be something like paragon paths.
  • They just better make crossbow Rogue an option if Ranger is going to be a paid class.
