1) A single Zen costs a single American Penny. $1 = 100 Zen 2) Character slots are 500 Zen($5) for 2. 3) There are many sources of info, look through the options in the menu at the top of the page, and check the official wiki(there is a sticky linking to it in these general forums).
Are those companies not used just as verification tools, though? The option allows you to charge your card without creating an account with either PP or Skrill.
It's always a disappointment to see companies ignore the potential profits in cosmetic micro-transactions. NWO could be the best f2p MMO around if the cash shop was strictly cosmetic.
There seems to be a constant crowd of masterless companions at the altar in Protector's Enclave on the Mindflayer server. I log in every morning on an alt to do my daily prayer for the coins, and it looks like the whole instance is standing in that blue circle, but 90% of the characters there are companions.
This is an amazing MMO for a casual minded player. Anyone who doesn't insist on having the absolute best for their character should enjoy the game tremendously. However, there is very little chance for a serious competitive end game scene with the current state of the game(the enchantment system in particular). If they…
Having played Tera, the fact that the announcement for the mount only lasts about half a second is a godsend. Tera announcements last for days, I swear.
While not, technically, necessary they are something that anyone who considers themselves serious about end game content would, and should, strive to get. Making them nearly impossible to get for the average player, paying or not, only serves to alienate a majority of the potential end game competitive scene.
It's already 'easy' to get without paying. My suggestion would only make it slightly more common. People are going to need many Coalescent wards if they want to take end game PvE or PvP seriously, I would only like to see it be more feasible for players that can't afford the hundreds of dollars required currently.
I rather enjoy it. It adds weight and strategy to the combat. It actually feels like my character is hitting her target, instead of just playing an animation.
They actually plan on merging all 3 shards into a single mega-server. There will be no more character wipes. People 'exploiting' to max level only served to hurt themselves, and should not affect anyone who leveled/is leveling through the standard quest line.
