Had tons of fun and managed to get some plot moving because Neverdawn. It's not as active as say, ChampionsRP but like most NWRP based rp is all high quality. A must for any looking for some RP on a run.
I'm with the general opinion that they could be adding new and interesting races instead of pallet swapped Elves. Where are the Dragonborn? Or the Genasi? Or the Deva?
I started with AD&D. If you think D&D is about THAC0 and races as classes and not about Dungeons with Dragons in it I sugest you actually step back and remember what captured your mind when you first starting D&D. Except it's a perfectly playable type of Cleric on the edition they are trying to evoke. I'll even go ahead…
While truth, is stupid design. Stupid because on the source material, classes do their role no matter the build. Even with deep optimization you cannot just shut the role for a class.
Said "builds" were just sugestions to what players should pick. Seriously all they had to do was add the great weapon fighter options inside a regular Fighter because that's pretty much what you get from this game! I'm still puzzled by the idea of splitting up the class and pretty much just changing the powers.
Considering the archetype they are evoking from 4e, it's all intended. 4e also has a barbarian class, but that one is focused on primal powers instead of martial swings alone.
Zhang Fei up in here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPrFwd4aQXA The yell pushes back enemies because they hop back violently trying to not be on your way.
I'll echo de feeling. How can I smash things as a Half-Orc GWF if all I have is silly two handers? Gimme blunt, gimme hammers, gimme something to smack someone with!
