omg is this for real? will be getting a new class?
If it's true I wonder how they will make it different than the CW, maybe more curses and dots? I'm not aware how do they work in tabletop DnD

Yes, in Dread Ring, when killing some red wizards to test if shield still blocks CC.

This is hardly a surprise. But its nice to see some actual evidence so all the rampant speculating can subside.

Told ya Druid wasnt next. :p

Well I was kinda ridiculing those people who were arguing druid to be next due to obvious hints/information out there.

They never bothered to do research so it is understandable for them to just spit out a random class name from their mouths.

You made it come true? dude people have known since they datamined the beta client 12 months ago that Scourge warlock was in the client along with HR so it was kind of obvious once HR came out that Warlock would be next, hell Scourge warlock gear was dropping at one point during closed beta , lol you made it happen .

That got me out of bed and equipment farming. I got set of different boots for warlocks. Green 2 stats the 2nd stats was movement. It is in my bags but no screenshot.

I don't know how you got making it come true from my quotes of "Been saying it for the last 3 months" and "Another predication I made come true". I'm not sure if english is your first language so I'll offer up an explanation. I didn't make it come true, I merely predicted it. None of my statements would lead anyone with a competent reading comprehension to believe that I was insinuating that I did anything to force Cryptic's hands into releasing the Scourge Warlock. I was merely a background player siphoning data and hearsay to come up with an educated guess that eventually became correct.

Just a thought.....maybe they put these boots in to throw us off. Now that I have had time to think, is that before the HR was released all HR gear was dropping as lucky dice and now I am getting a lot of a certain treasure which never dropped before. Either these 2 boots are oversights, teasers, to throw us off.

I think you are putting way to much thought into this. Simply ask yourself, whats more probable. That Cryptic took the time to create teasers or intentional misdirections. Or they simply made a mistake and let a few unintended drops slip in, by accident.

I have two open char slots, I'm saving one in the hopes of one day being able to play a druid. My favorite druid spell from 3.5 was the entangle, it was versitile and grossly over powered. DMs got the point that we would be fighting in sand or stone so that I couldn't cast it. Give me my druid and I will love NW forever

While I really want a Druid class, I am none-the-less excited for a warlock class... or any class really. I'm such an alt-o'holic, I actually look forward to having to get more character slots! :D

First off around Oct or so of last year the devs already said that a Druid would be next class. It was supposesd to be released in March but I guess they got hung up on other things. So ou all can say barb, warlock, paladin or what ever but Druid it will be.

This is not true. The exact quote simply said one class was 50% complete (at the time) and that Druid MOST LIKELY would be next after that. In effect, it was said to be next, after next. Nothing was set in stone and no date or time frame was given. So there was no promise or expectation of ANY release in March.

I believe that, at one point, they had intended to release 1 class per module. But it became clear shortly after Ranger was released that, that goal proved to be extremely optimistic. In this case, it seems for the best. Id rather they do each class right. Then to rush classes out just to met some arbitrary date, or plan, that they never made any commitments to.

Yeah sockmunkey is correct , Warlock next (almost certainly module 4) then possibly Druid (module 6? ) , I do hope Druid is next though even though I'm guessing its going to be a fair wait xD

the speculated next 2 are warlock and druid
the pattern seems to be Profession, race, profession(s), class
if pattern holds up tyranny would give us a race (dragonborn?) however since
stuff is dropping in test server maybe it will be reverse. plus releasing dragonborn
in "tyranny of dragons" is just crazy talk.

warlock would be as similar to CW as ranger is to rogue and gwf is to GF
as in while they are different in feel the are a good alt option for people who
dislike one of the two as they fill a similar nitch.

Druid or bard would probibly be a good alt class for people who want to be a
leader/hybrid type but dislike DC. though a LOT of people use "play as" to rp
    bards warlocks palidins and druids.

Id love to see a "temporary"(available for 1 month after new class hits) class change token
for say 600 or more zen. specifically for people who are planning on just rerolling
especially since a new character can not have the old character face.
600zen would price it at 2 additional character slots,
(even i the char is reset to level 1, I just want to keep my char's pets/face/outfits)

id fear palidin would feel to much like GF(i dislike gf of course my gf has the look
I can NEVER get again due to she uses a big flat nose and the new elf faces have
tiny pointy noses and do odd things to masks)

GF is sooo hard to play cause i get used to dodging or sprinting with all other chars
and using tab for the "special" in gf its counter intuitive i keep trying to hit tab
to block. and then when i try to run or doodge ..i turtle. please pleae dont use it again.

I personally believe, and have said so in the past. That each new class was supposed to fit each modules theme. Considering that there has been talk about Tyranny of Dragons on the WotC side of things for over a year now. I suspect the original plan was this.

Ranger released with Fury of the Feywild
    Warlock released with Shadowmantle
    Druid released with Icewind dale
Leaving room for a potential Paladin for Tyranny.

Sure, its complete speculation. But it seems fairly reasonable. This mixed with the recent proposed changes to GF to make it more agro centric. Opens the door for another defender class that can offer something more then just pure agro management. By this same thought, the proposed CW changes. Reduces that classes role as a debuffer. Opening the door for Warlock.

What was said was the most two requested classed were Ranger then Druid. There was no implication, unless there-in, as to the next class.

Edit Update: This was stated some time back, mind you, near the release of the Hunter Ranger.
