  • Thanks for the advice. The character has only just reached lvl 40 and is still in the powerhouse trying out powers. Upgrading the gear would come next. I'd respec anyway if I was going to continue with it; but I first wanted to know if it is really worth continuing.
  • What on earth are viper plotting now?
  • Is Death Dragon death different from the kind you inflicted on her in the underground recruitment centre? To be honest I don't recall ever seeing Zoe after Death Dragon. Nor any other Maniac outside their patch in West Side. I Like the Maniacs. Maybe they could bring them back as accomplices like they did with the Cobras.
  • Better still, you can find certain items of gear, e.g., remission eyepiece, from drops or in the AH that are not available from the recognition vendor and which have significantly better stats.
  • At the end of the tutorial you can clearly see Ironclad's cannon shell penetrating the underside of the mother ship, which crash lands in the river. So how come the shell hole is in the ceiling and not in the floor?
  • It's difficult to imagine the mission glitching on every one of your characters, so maybe you're missing something. Personally I've never had a problem collecting all the papers (I'm guessing I've done it about 30 times). Have you investigated all the huts in all three compounds? The warchiefs aren't necessarily limited to…
  • After repeating this method with my first character who was stuck, I can confirm it works: - Do the Death Rattle missions up to and including AP Bio but don't accept Unknowable yet. - At some point during (or perhaps after) this first arc, you should find find Dark Dealings at the Docks back on your list. Follow the second…
  • It might be just an impression but I think I get more good drops from instanced missions than from random mobs. Quest of the elements seems particularly rich and also gives Silver Recogniton. As blue lvl 40 primaries sell for over g2 to NPCs I don't even auction them. Those, along with the less lucrative gear drops, easily…
  • At least two: finish the museum mission (the one you get from the radio beacon) and then be eligible to go to Vibora Bay. There may also be a level barrier but the second point probably takes care of that.
  • I wish people would stop being necro-obsessed in informational threads. You are denying other people the chance to learn from people's experiences. In a post that was deleted I explained how another character suffered the same fate of not getting the pop-up. I filed a bug report but nobody has answered yet. HOWEVER, the…
  • Sorry about the repeated posts. I made them, then they disappeared, then when I looked again today, they had miraculously reappeared.
  • Witchcraft being patient (and completely ignoring her boyfriend writhing in agony on the ground).
  • Right, I just did this again so here's the method. It takes a lot of patience. - Choose an avatar with heal. It seems the best you can hope for is a low-power healing rune. - If you don't like the avatar, sign out and come back in 5 minutes to choose a different one (it's the first action in part 6). I chose Master of All…
  • I've just soloed it again, so I made some notes especially to feed this thread. Here are some of my pointers to winning that battle. 1. If you don't like the avatar you chose, log out your character and come back 5 minutes later to choose a different one. It's pretty much the first action in part 6, so there's no delay…
  • So here I am raising another character to 40 and decided this time I would do the whole of Lemuria rather than MI before progressing to VB. I did the first mission as soon as I was allowed onto the sub (at level 31 I believe), completed a whole lot of stuff, and then ran out of missions before even gaining a level. So I…
  • I'll give it another try starting all the way from dark dealings at the docks. I've sniffed round the lab door four or five times, been into the lab after re-running the first two missions hoping to find Ka there, been back to his position in the mods building. I'll probably end up accepting that one of my characters has…
  • OP here again. The problem for me isn't finding the contacts. I figured those out after completing both arcs with the first three or four of my characters. But in each of those cases, after Unknowable, I got a Ladyhawke pop-up telling me to go to the lab where she was with Ka. With this one character, however, I'm still…
  • I did this a few times many years ago and I honestly don't remember there being any problem finishing the champions off, and I have the action figures for all the kings to confirm it. Maybe in my ensuing 7-8 year absence something got changed? I tried it again recently with the ice tank AT and got through the stage OK. The…
  • If I can just add one informational comment about hideouts. If you are a gold subscriber or even a lapsed gold subscriber with silver characters, the shortcut to Millennium City via the penthouse is no longer a compelling advantage. There's a much simpler shortcut available in the form a card you can buy very cheaply from…
  • Yeah sure but consider this an information thread. And the information is you can't resurrect characters intact using a freeform slot.
  • So using the offered freeform slot, I took the plunge, chose a locked character, and "upgraded" her to freeform. The result? Wiped the character clean. I'll never know what she really was; the only clues are her description "Rambo met a samurai cowboy and I was the result", and the fact she carries a big axe. :o She'll be…
  • They should have come round to our houses and given it to us in an Easter egg.
  • I think it's best to actually start the next stage before quitting, just enough to be sure it's really under way. I once lost all my progress in Aftershock between escaping the bunker and defeating the army of horrors, despite having finished everything in that chapter and clicking "next chapter" or whatever. Since then,…
  • Thanks for your ideas. The problem is that even though I can purchase FF slots and use them to revive gold characters, I don't have enough info to know which characters I can best allocate them to. Note to self: make and update character sheets from now on.
  • Ah! I'll give that a try. Those high-end CW missions are worth a good two-levels, so that might just open the door to VB. I must confess that trying to avoid MI and Lemuria completely was more a proof of concept thing - MC to VB in single bound. Now plotting on ways to go MC-VB directly!
  • I tried once to get to VB without touching Lemuria or MI at all (except when nemesis clues obliged me to). I could have gone all the way between Millennium City and Vibora Bay by doing the whole of Canada, had it not been that the stream of missions runs dry at around lvl 32 (Celestar, the Constable, and Ravenspeaker,…
  • I can confirm that on 27th Oct., 2019, Orbital Cannon rank one does damage at the point of triggering, not at the target.
  • Perfect. There was no none around who needed that mission but I had another character who did. But you can't have two characters from the same account logged on at the same time. So I shared the the second character's mission with one on a different account then shared it from them back to my original character and…
  • Right!!!! Thank you.
  • In the same vein, I got into the studio, looked around, found my way into the server room and talked to the administrator ... on whose reply there's a note saying something like "accepting this mission starts an event". I thought OK, I'll come back to this one later since I had a few RL distractions. So I left the building…
  • Any mission where you have to destroy/open/disarm/reprogram/whatever seven computers/bombs/cases/whatever and you can only find six of them, so you have to go out to reset the instance in order to go back in and finish off.
  • I did it with archery this time. "Straight Shot", fully charged: rains zombies. In other words, single hit, non-EB, non-DOT yet again.
  • I love good visuals and especially dynamic, entertaining visuals - which just happen to be in bars most of the time: The Dog Pound in Vibora Bay - it's filled with awesome. The Crimson Lounge, especially for the go-go dancing immortals and bloodgorgers. Belle's Saloon with the robot dancers, plus the other saloon with the…
  • The basement hideouts are ridiculously small and terrible value for money. What's to stop a house having interconnecting basement rooms? As for new styles, I'd appreciate something appropriate to knight/spartan/gladiator type characters (castle courtyard + banquet hall with various period alternatives from valhalla to…
  • I concur with this. I think I've done Resistance maybe ten times now and left off and re-entered at several points. When I log back in I'm in front of the Harmon Labs entrance with the option to rejoin at the end of the last segment I completed. Having said that, I've never left off in the middle of the jail part. I know…
  • Ohhhhhhhhh yes please. And now. Or tomorrow at the latest.
  • The people who like it are too busy playing it to whine in the forums. My personal opinion is it's the best conceived MMORPG I've ever played; but since I'm off to play it now, I don't have time to explain why.
  • Latest update (must be the 10th or 11th time I've done this mission). This time, straight shooting with two-gun mojo, every crate but two contained the goods. That's single-target piercing damage with no secondary effects. The simpler the attack the better it would seem.
  • That must surely be it! Thanks. I stopped doing Canada after about my second alt, which is why I never encountered the mission again. I just automatically associated robot parts with the desert and all those boxes lying around.
  • The amount of tokens you get as a reward is very variable. IIRC there are some missions that give over 100 Nemesis tokens, thought I haven't noted down which ones. That said, I don't think I've ever spent a Nemesis token. I usually buy 11K Questionite secondary gear as soon as I have one secondary stat and use ordinary…
  • Phasing Lemuria in gets my vote. Similar to Queen City but with further entry points along the line. That's a great idea. How you get there is a mere detail. For example there's already a submarine parked offshore in MI crisis before UNTIL sets up its base there.

  • Do the lost cave missions from Gideon H Jones in Monster Island. The last of the three has you killing 24 elder worms which takes about two minutes and gives 25-30k XP. That last mission resets quite quickly. I'm not sure exactly how quickly but by the time I've gone away and done a couple of other things it's usually…
  • There are already a load of hidden stories in Queen City just waiting to see the light of day. Have you noticed for example in QC that the Dogz are human or just plain dogs instead of the permanent werewolves they later become? The Sovereign Sons are also human in QC instead of the alligators some of them become in VB…
  • I've done the mission yet again, with an infernal this time. 1st crate: 4 zombies, killed them all, but the kills didn't register. Next 10 crates, not a zombie in sight, so retconned to get eruption (heavy weapon) skill, went back, and completed the 15 zombies in about two minutes. I broke the crates with eruption then…
  • roughly 25-30 for Bales
  • Bales in downtown Millennium city give 1500 xp each.
  • I get why you'd want to switch the questionite primaries. They are so limiting in fact that I'm surprised anyone uses them in the first place. But bearing in mind that the 9 mod slots you get in a set of hero gear allow you to construct just about any profile you want, and assuming you actually do want some defence, what…
  • My, my aren't you the precious one. Plenty of replies have addressed things you didn't mention in your OP.
  • Can you give us some examples of how the switch might improve things?
  • I'd like to get another distinction clear between defence and damage resistance. When a brickbuster knocks your defences out, does this cancel out all damage resistance or just that gained from defence? The same question for any other attacks that ignore defences. For example, the armadillo set can give 25% or 50% damage…
