Do you already have a 40? Or at least level 25+? Do you also have a hideout? If so, grind Nemesis missions to get Heirloom gear from the Nemesis vendor, then use the hideout to pass the equipment to the lowbie (it's account bound, so shared account storage is the only way to pass it).
Buy XP Boosts and/or Favor of the Champions from the Auction House. They're often available for 1g or so each.
Run Smash Alerts for the XP bonus.
All three of these XP buffs will stack (Plus the Heirloom gear is way better than what you get as drops), so you'll be more effective, and you'll level quicker.
When you're having bad luck with Smash Alerts, find places that you can work on multiple missions in the same place at the same time. I find that Canada is usually best for this, until you get to Monster Island. Make sure all your XP boosts are in effect before turning in a big group of missions.
Even without all the extras though, you can level to 40 fairly quickly. My first character went from 1-40 in about 3 weeks. And that was as a Blade AT while I was still a Silver player. Since there's no way to lose XP, or even slow your earning, you can only go forward. Unless you choose to be that guy who spams Zone with "Level 12 tank LFT" for 6 hours, while I go from 6 to 20 by soloing or duoing missions in the same time.

This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Well then, as what the others have adviced, Smash alerts, Nemesis Heirloom Gears, XP boost and if you can, get friends who will be able to carry you through the smashes.
A friend told me that at lower levels, if you can enter Resistance and spawn Mega-destroid Terminators at that low level (like level 6) and you can get a level 40 toon to help you destroy the MDT, it apparently gives out quite a heft sum of XP rewards able to carry you several levels up. I have not tried this personally. If you happen to chance upon me in game (Paragon@wesleytansg), I do not mind helping to try this out.
Any particular reasons to speed through to level 40? Why not take the time to enjoy the stories in the various mission arcs?
You hit it on the nail. Once you have reached the lvl 40 there is not much to do. Better to enjoy everything you can before your char reach the end game
resistance wont give u any xp i tried it when i was doing the mega destroyed
as for the nemesis tokens, i can only get them from defeating my nemesis and minions right? although nemesis minions do not show up all the time so getting the tokens will take a long time
In addition to grinding Smash Alerts (XP) while using XP Boost tokens:
* Buy XP boost tokens in the Auction House
* Better yet, comparison shop with Favor of the Champions tokens--give same bonus, and are usually cheaper
* Before you start grinding Alerts, find a level-appropriate area with a series of easy, open-zone missions, perferably with a daily
for instance: at levels 16-20, that would be the Psi missions given by Kinetik, focused around the Psi building and the park in MC
at levels 24-28, that would be the DEMON missions given by Alicia Blackmun and Witchcraft that focus on that end of town
at levels 26-30, do the missions around memorial park--destroids and fox battlebots--given by Dr. Silverback and Microman
at levels 30-34, do the missions around the manimal village on Monster Island
at levels 35+, find a good grinding/daily mission area in Vibora Bay (like Dead shormen) or Monster Island (Andrith area)
A tip that I tell some of my friends that want to get a character lvled quickly is to do a XP alert and quest while waiting on queues. If you have nemesis heirlooms make sure to have those equipped as well. On some of my alts, it took me a week to go from 6 to 40 without using my heirlooms doing XP alerts and quests in between, while with my heirlooms took me a day or two shorter than without. (Of course this will vary between all players since not everyone can be on as long as everyone else.) You lvl quickly and you get to learn some of the lore to the game at the same time
I can tell you this once you start to get around after lv 25, the lvls feel like more of a grind.
Also if you have a buddy to quest with, make sure to team up with them. Not many know but there is a xp bonus when you are teamed up with others. Bigger the team, bigger the bonus when you turn in missions. (I think at least, I haven't seen a xp increase when defeating mobs, but have seen a increase in xp when turning in quests while on a team, need a confirm on this.)
Is there a fast way to level, or is there a guide out there that i can level as fast as possible
i tried the resistance guide but people say they fixed it so i can level like that anymore
there is alerts but half the time we don't win those, so its a waste of time
Okay, this is how I do it.
First; going to Westside and doing all the missions there. ALL of them, really. By the time I'm finished, my character is usually level 24 or 25. That's enough to get a nemesis and start doing alerts.
If you think alerts are boring and you don't have a high enough level to get a nemesis yet, just do the Desert Disaster and Canada Crisis. Then you will very likely have reached level 25.
This sounds very boring. And guess what, it is! You really can get more than halfway to the level cap in the first story arc (to which there is no alternative), and then just grind the rest in alerts!
It's just poorly designed. But if you only care about leveling and not about the story, CO is your game.
resistance wont give u any xp i tried it when i was doing the mega destroyed

Tokens are actually rewards from the nemesis missions and they drop from Nemesis Confrontation. There is a 6 hour cooldown after completing a nemesis mission so the minions will only drop a clue if the cooldown is finished. If you want to try to get minions to spawn, destroy chairs in rencen or better yet, behind the UNTIL building where Harmon gives his speech, if you have a nice AoE, spawning minions would be quick.
Fastest I've power-leveled to 40 is 4 days. Getting to level 15 is usually a matter of hours without EXP boosts or alerts. Hell, you start at level 6.
Here's what I do: D*** around in MilCit until level 13
Level 13: Desert Crisis, You should exit out at level 15
Level 15: Canada Crisis, Should exit out around level 17-18
Do some Canada or Desert Missions until level 20-22
Vibora Bay(VB): Queen City
There's a point of limbo between 22-28, After getting 25, Do the Nemesis S***
Once you reach 28 iirc, you can go to Monster Island. F*** Rhinoplasty though.
At 35(?), you can do the VB and Lumerian Crisis. Unless you have a full party of people, do only VB. After that's done, just do a few XP alerts as well as VB and Lumerian questions and you should be set.
Some Notes:
1. I absolutely hate Viper mobs. I consider them the strongest in the game.
2. Elite Difficulty is your friend. If you can take damage and effectively dispatch foes, there's little reason to not use it.
3. More party members + higher difficulties = More mobs = More EXP.
4. Open Missions are also somewhat decent EXP cows.
5. Daily quests are also nice.

Over in the far east of Millenium City, near the elder worms is a level 26-ish open event where the lemurian ambassador is surrounded by lizard-form lemurians. It's a fast event, kill 30 of hte guys surroudning him, then protect him from 5 or 6 spawns.
It resets in 45 seconds or so.
It is not only great for levelling right inside your point of limbo, but it's also good for questionite hour.
Step 1: Use a vehicle with Incendiary Round and/or Railgun
Step 2: Find stuff that gives a truckload of XP
Step 3: Kill them at 120ft where they can't touch you
Step 4: Go from level 6-40 in 6 hours !

Yep--I see people do this in Vibora Bay all the time. They find an area of high-density mobs, and then kill again and a again. They also get rank 4-5 mods, occasional blue and purple gear, plus a rare costume drop or two.
I am level 35, it took me awhile. now alerts arnt giving me much anymore, it usually gives me 1 bar but not anymore
i have no heirlooms and only xp alert buff and occasionally a 1 hour xp buff from ah
how long now will it take to reach 40 if i am on it for a whole day (weekend whoo)
You'll get to 40 in no time if you play non-stop. 35-40 can be a grind but if you do a mix of XP alerts, questing, and maybe along your lvling got some money to get a XP boost from the AH. If not then do Monster Island quests to 36 then do Vibora Bay Apocalypse, which may get you around 37, then can quest in Vibora up to 40, all while queuing up for XP alerts. If you grinded on XP alerts up to this point you do notice it takes more than just one alert to fill one bar now, which is why I suggest doing quests since the XP boost gives you an increase in both mob kills and quest xp rewards.
Do the lost cave missions from Gideon H Jones in Monster Island. The last of the three has you killing 24 elder worms which takes about two minutes and gives 25-30k XP.
That last mission resets quite quickly. I'm not sure exactly how quickly but by the time I've gone away and done a couple of other things it's usually available again (just consult your crime computer).

yeah been interestedi nthe hierloom gear but cant get the nemesis to spawn enough to be effective or collect nemeis tokens. Not to mention the prison break mish keeps bugging out and end up stuc there onthe toons the nemeis missions do show. On one toon they went from 25-38 and not a single showing of the nemesis minions even tried the chair trick. one time wasted over three hours trying the chair trick and went back to defender and the nemesis mission cop to make sure ad even scoured my emails. Nothing. Wasnt meant to be with that toon.
It seems that many people got the hang of it and make it sound very easy to cllect nemeis tokens and then go buy heirloom gear as if it was just as easy as running a mish and seeling the junk gear to a vendor.

What is the secret to this?
The amount of tokens you get as a reward is very variable. IIRC there are some missions that give over 100 Nemesis tokens, thought I haven't noted down which ones.
That said, I don't think I've ever spent a Nemesis token. I usually buy 11K Questionite secondary gear as soon as I have one secondary stat and use ordinary primaries to adjust my other stats.

As an altaholic, I prefer the simplicity that the 11K Questionite gear affords - by doing the Alert Dailies and other events that offer Q, I have been able to consistently get *at least* 66K Q by the time one of my characters gets to 40. I can then use that to equip my next alt and continue the the pattern.
I have the anniversary gear and while it is transferable to my alts, I prefer the bonuses the 11K Q gear provide, as well.

Alright my last post was in spite of the failed nemesis feature. The best way is to run the crap out of Nemcon for tokens and hope you get clues from minions.
Though my main usually doesn't get a nemesis clue for months at a time. Yes, I play regularly.

You cant get to vibora bay at level 6, plus i dont spend real money so i dont have any vehicles and getting gold takes a long time for me, my first toon lv 40 only had around 200k when reached 40
Smash-Race-Smash-Race...
I can only get the xp reward from races once a day

You can easily get to Vibora at level 6.
Simply choose "A Day at the Mall" alert.
Then, once alert is over, go to the Power House at the alert start area--you will go to the VB Power House.
Exit the Power House, and you will be in VB. This is how my low-level toons get titles like "Crazy Train" and "Magic Dance".
The amount of tokens you get as a reward is very variable. IIRC there are some missions that give over 100 Nemesis tokens, thought I haven't noted down which ones.
I don't think there is a pattern to the number of tokens you receive from a nemesis mission. I have seen on two different alts that got the same mission (Fool's Gold mission) from their clues and one gave 98 tokens while the other gave 47. Both were lv 40 when they received their clues so I would imagine the number is random.

As far as I can tell, there are three (or more?) values for each mission. The first time you do the mission, you get the lowest value, the second time, you get the next higher value, and so on, until you reach the max and get that value from then on. The counter is character-specific, so getting to the max level on one character won't affect the lower level ones.
