  • OP, forget about PvP in STO. STO PvP is too sissy, too carebear. Ship respawn? Really? Lol. :D STO is a PvE and fashion game.

  • I do have a orion marauder too. Yes, a female half-naked sexy orion, and very human like ("bleach" as possible). I really dont care if she is not "canon" to Star Trek universe. Now i will try to create a vulcan with round ears or a spotless trill. :D May the force be with you Dr. Spock!

  • Bad design is just a standard feature here, just adapt and move on. If someday they fix bad designs, 50% of game complexity will be removed as well. :D

  • I have an easy solution for Crypitc, for those who wants a more challenging gameplay. Put "hardcore mode" difficult level. Just that. If the players dies, he loses the ship, all consoles, half of the Boffs and the captain may be crippled. Crippled captains will be disabled until restored with prostetics from the zen store,…

  • You can't remove PvP just because you don't like, it's the same as i ask to remove PvE because its boring. STO needs a Fleet War PvP mechanics. It could be like PvP queue. If you dont want to join the war, just don't enter the queue. The war could be like capture the flag style, where the winning team will slowly drain…
  • I like pets. Dogs, cats and birds.. unfortunately there is no pet in Eve. Only pet alliances. :D Most of PvP are small gangs, less than 50 ships involved, and I only see lag (or TiDi) in massive battles, 99% of time playing eve there is no lag, so its fine for me.
  • This is not true. Most of the players live in High Secure Space, or Hi-Sec. They are miners, mission runners, traders and industrials. Some are explorers lost in unknow systems reacheable only through unstable wormholes. :D
  • I do play both, STO and Eve. Eve combat is not simple and static as many think. In fact, eve combat is more complex than STO. There is many combination of ships, modules tactics and many weapon variables: Ammunition types, optimal range of weapons, falloff range, tracking speed, signature radius, signature resolution, rate…

  • How about the possibility to declare war against other fleets. Raid enemy stations and capture resources from unfinished projects. Maybe capture the entire starbase and put to sell on exchange? Fleets under war could do PvP anywhere, space or ground. Special interdictors ships with warp disruptors consoles able to drop out…
  • Ok, maybe it would be too harsh for STO... So, instead of ship loss, how about random consoles and Boffs be disabled for 20h in case of death in PvP?   • Besides the PvP issue with no risk, i think we need more death penalty on STF Elite, not only ship injuries. Like Boffs be killed or injuried, consoles and weapons destroyed... and maybe ammunition for cannons and limited torpedos too, for STF Elite.

  • My point of view for any PvP, including here in STO: - No respawn. If you lose a battle, you lose the ship. - If you lose the ship, some of the consoles is lost too and some dropped as loot. Boffs killed or turned as POW (prisoners) and some lucky returned to the player. That would be a real fun PvP. :D
