You know that there are thousands of spouses that cheat on their wife/husband, right? And some cultures have different views on monogamy? And some men call the female friends girlfriend? It's the nature of an mmo to always entice players with shiny new things. Keeps us playing. There will be a better model of alot of things brought out at some point. Best get used to it, as there is no "100% complete" in mmos.

I agree. Things could be alot worse. Now, I'm not saying they won't be over time, but ATM there is content coming, and for a FTP game there's not really anything you HAVE to purchase. There have been quite a few people floating this idea around. I'm sure there are some who actually believe it could happen, and could stay profitable. It's a good plot for a film maybe, but this is reality. The game wouldn't exist very long if it ever happened.

This game isn't the only accessible form. You can see the tv shows every day on tv, you can buy the books in a store, watch the films/shows on DVD or blue ray, play other star trek games.
