This is just the stupist thing - how the heck can you "not" fail the No win Scenario?
I played a few hours ago and we got to lvl 5 before the Freighter was destroyed
so its like asking people to play cure and fail every time - this thing is so stupid- how do you win the No- win scenario - and if you can't and like other stf - you fail and get no rewards - why play??
In the 5th wave they dropped a Bio weapon platform at almost 10K out that kept firing like a super rail gun every second or 2 that took out the freighter - the other 15+ ships came all the way in - that Bio neural platform had the shields of a Borg tactical cube in elite- u need a T5 escort pounding on it with 1300+Dps every single buff just to make a dent in its shields - and its a tiny little platform like anyone can drop

The No Win Scenario event ends when either the transport is destroyed or players successfully defeat the 10th and final wave. Player rewards are increased with each successful wave defense; the farther you get, the more you?re rewarded. Special titles can also be unlocked for those that are able to defeat wave 6 and above.
Maybe you just aren't looking in the right place for the reward. Awhile ago I remember them stating that the rewards on tribble would be just dilithium. Can't remember where I read that though.
It gives you Fleet Marks every time you complete a wave, the amount increases each subsequent wave. Last time I played it, th rewards were given out properly and I had a small number of shiny FLeet Marks afterwards.
Check your assets tab OP, I'll bet they're there too, if not, submit a bug report and remember you're on the test server.

It was changed to Fleet marks.
Complete:
1st wave - 1 mark
2nd wave - 2 mark = 3 Marks
3rd wave - 3 makrs = 6 marks
4th wave - 4 marks = 10 marks
5th wave - 5 marks = 15 Marks
6th wave - 6 marks = 21 marks
7th wave - 7 marks = 28 marks
8th wave - 8 marks = 36 marks
9th wave - 9 marks = 45 marks
10th/Final wave - 10 marks = 55 Fleet marks
It on level 4/5 it took 2 defiants maxed out to take out 1 turrent (level 4 - level 5 its 2 turrents - thats as fars as we got)
And the defiants were hitting it with everything they had for a good 30 seconds!! - its tanked somewhere between a cube and a tac cube!! And its firing at the attackers too - you need like 3 ships for each one
And while that's going on 15 ships are attacking the freighter - NUTS!!
as it stands now 1 bio platform at lvl 4 then 2 at level 5 - 3 at lvl 6? 4 at level 7?
If this is the case and things don't get changed with the power of those platforms that are dropped 10lm out from the freighter then I don't see any group making it past lvl 7 - no matter how you build the group - definitely not a PUG!!
...<snip> ... If this is the case and things don't get changed ...(snip)... then I don't see any group making it past lvl 7 - no matter how you build the group - definitely not a PUG!!
As has been noted already in this thread.
The Sad Pandas beat it.
Something like a day or so after it released on tribble.
just because you can't yet figure it out , doesn't mean it can't be done.

some-one also pointed out in this thread that the "bio weapons platforms" were "added" because the Pandas beat it - now it is 10x harder(my est) then when they beat it.
So there is no comparison to the Pandas beating it without those enemy weapons platforms!!
Doesn't matter.
Thing is still called "NO WIN SCENARIO"
If you do not want to lose , I would advise not trying something called "NO WIN Scenario". Just pointing that out. Also , your original point was that you were getting no rewards. As noted above. (1) Fleet Marks are the reward. The poster who said this very neatly layed it out for you. Their name was fluffytargcream (Great Name BTW). Here it is again ... (In bold letters so it's easier to not miss)

Basically , what I am getting at is ... Even at level 1 , you get something. So, if the real problem is simply , you don't like to lose ... I once again suggest not playing a thing called "NO WIN" , seems to make sense to me.
It's supposed to be hard. Even impossible. That's why it has the name it does.
You are here saying , "It's too hard, Devs. Make the No Win Scenario easier. More like it was when someone WON the no win scenario."
It's a plainly ridiculous request. And if it's just an observation ... whatever ... I think it's perfect as is. We can agree to disagree.
My cannon excelsior can tank and kill the launcher fine atm but it takes about 2 mins to chew through its shields and hull that way. The issue is it only disables the turret it pops a repair bar over it once you drop it to low HP and starts gaining all again.
So I dont think "killing" the platforms each wave is a very efficient way to deal with them, unless you have massive fleet defiant dps then it may work.
Should try and see if a ship can repulsor it out of range or something; Otherwise CSV and warp plasma are your friends apparently.
I think people will get tired of it within two weeks.
Accolade Hunters will flock together to get the new accolades, then they will get them and that's that. And those who want fleet mark rewards will go do the Tholian event because it's more worth their time.
Yes it is definitly something that I wont do as Fleet marks are worthless to me as I don't intend on ever joining another fleet.
The intent of the post originally was to point out the obvious problem in saying that you have failed the no win scenario - well duh - of course you will fail
At the time I posted I did not know about the Fleet mark and wondered about the confusing "You failed the mission" in bold red just like in STF cure - leading me to believe it was a mission you were going to fail and get nothing
the "You have Failed the mission" is very confssing
the no win scanario is not a new concept in games. the point is to challenge yourself and to try and get better. each round gives rewards but the main attraction is the trying to outdo yourself and other teams. the prestige of being the only group to hit wave 8, or 9 etc
it is theoretically possible to complete in the sense that the mobs dont have infinite hp and was completed by groups on tribble, then made tougher. it should be next to impossible for anyone to complete but the outside chance of completing it is there for the truly elite to try.
you and almost everyone may fail the mission, but there remains the outside chance that someone can complete it.

It's sort of like old arcade games -- they're actually not intended to be played to an "end," you're just trying to beat other peoples high scores. (Although some of them added in a special "secret" ending because it was better than the game crashing out.)

Okay, but what would you rather be said in place of that?
If the ship is destroyed, then technically you have "failed" the mission by failing to protect it, regardless of if it is supposed to be a no win scenario or not.
I guess that this is not possible in their engine currently, but it would be interesting if the waves could be procedually generated so technically it could go on into infinity. Say each round gives the enemies +X Shields, +Y% damage buff etc.
Then there would always be the possibility to outdo someone else and it would never get stale. But in the way it is now, I already like it quite a bit.
It on level 4/5 it took 2 defiants maxed out to take out 1 turrent (level 4 - level 5 its 2 turrents - thats as fars as we got)

I'm incredibly sorry for doing this, but I just need to point out that the word turrent isn't correct. It should be turret.
I know, it's really anal of me, but that word does my head in.
You're supposed to fail the mission.
The way it was designed is for average PuG to get to wave 5 max. An average premade to wave 6 or 7 max and the best PvP teams to have a hard time past wave 8.
The bioneural platforms are a stroke of genius because they add an opponent that can kill the transport in seconds and thus is a priority. But at the same time it isn't super easy to kill the warheads and the platforms.
There is a point for the mission to be called a no win scenario. A captain must accept that there is no way to win the mission, and at the same time give his best to make the most out of a certain death scenario.

That statement explains my feelings on the matter.
It should be part of the blurb of the mission.
No need to make the mission easier.
So, hey, apologies if you took anything I said as an attack. Wasn't meant to be so.
I am sometimes unable to hear how the tone of what I have written will be heard.
Imagine anything I say in the future to be full of passion and good will, even if in sprited debate. We're all just Star Trek fans in the final analysis. We shouldn't attack each other for differing opinions.
I'm almost never wanting to make someone feel bad , mad, or attacked. Unless that someone happens to be Doctor Victor Von Doom. That guy really is kind of a jerk. I mean "Von Doom" ?? Kind of putting your cards on the table with that name.

I see so you just don't get the rewards on Tribble? It just tells you "You have Failed" In the same way it does in Cure Space/KAS
where can I get one??

' no win'
its supposed to be stupidly difficult , that way , completing it actually feels like you've accomplished something
