I'm happy to say that I was wrong and cryptic actually did manage to unlock my KDF's jobs after less than a week. Thanks for that. The delay is still there though... Intended or not, the system worked just fine without out since it was created. I'd love to be wrong again and see cryptic fix that ridiculous mess too.
I think the cloaking device was built in originally. Later they made it a console and gave it another console slot. I like it as an optional console. What they need to do is convert all cloak to battle cloak. Regular cloak is an outdated mechanic.
Next assignment completes in -6d 10h... I've collected sickbay assignments across all characters (except the one with which I can't claim any assignments). I don't see Respond to Subordinate's Challenge mentioned either. Maybe the Respond mission is a red herring but I don't have high hopes for this patch. If it doesn't…
I'm at -5d 13m on one of my characters. Do you two have an assignment called Respond to Subordinate's Challenge on your doff list? I think that's the one holding up the works.
Replacing the negative countdown with "finishing" is just a joke. I have four KDF characters and the one with "Respond to Subordinates Challenge" won't let me collect any of the doff or R&D assignments. I decided to test the fix (something cryptic obviously can't be bothered to do). I wouldn't have been surprised to find…
Odd. Tribble did finish downloading faster than expected. And now that tribble is up to date, it has actually let me start downloading the update for Live (which is 510MB). So now I'm wondering why I had to update tribble before Live would even start?
Hey, I'm a trusting dude. I take reported information as is. If stuff is so simple, you'd think someone could figure out how to say what it actually is. At any rate, I'm just asking because I've seen much more impressive patch notes with much smaller file sizes. I was curious to know if I was missing something.
I've been farting around with the launcher (on demand patching has been disabled too) and when I click on Live (Holodeck) nothing downloads but when I click on Public Test (Tribble) it went from 918MB to 757MB. At present: Patched: 13.2MB / 757MB Received 12.5MB - 1% My connection is pretty terrible (I know that's not a…
I'm not on his friend list and most of my matches aren't counted either. I'm not going to claim that I know how it all works but it's a good solid effort. My understanding was that the leader board needs more data sets. Perhaps reading more or asking questions about what you can do to contribute to the board would be a…
If you queue up you accept the possibility that things might not go your way, whether the other side is a premade or your side is full of "noobs". It would be nice if Cryptic took a little time to do some quality control on their game but there is only so much they can do about ridiculous, selfish players. If you quit you…
Personally, I don't like that most of the mechanics are either on or off. Ideally, a Polarized Hull 1 would reduce the hold of a Tractor Beam 1 but not break it entirely. Similarly, a Polarized Hull 3 would reduce the hold of a Tractor Beam 1 significantly more, but still not break it. Having powers that completely remove…
I was responding to the most recent story about someone dying instantly, and to the ridiculous comment about how the Oddy should be so tanky it should be impossible for one attacker to kill it in under 30 seconds. To the original point, if someone can keep their shields full while their hull is being eaten away then their…
The Oddy, and nearly any ship out there, already is built to easily last more than 30 seconds against a single attacker. Of course, that does require the player being attacked to actually do something. If someone died instantly then they were vulnerable and weren't paying attention.
Given how long queue times can take to pop it's no wonder that a roleplaying race of blood thirsty warriors charge in mercilessly. But the queue didn't populate the teams evenly. Players on the other side didn't accept the pop, are only there for the free rewards, or quit when things don't go their way. It is a small group…
I started grinding the nuka marks on one of my characters a couple of days ago. Putting a tedious grind behind an extensive time gate is not good for accessibility. And that says nothing of the questionable mechanics or the illusion of content.
More often than not, when I see it I'm pretty sure it's a connection or server issue. That being said, there are a few folks who use it regularly (some of whom won't even deny it). Logging out is cheating, plain and simple. It should be treated as in game harassment. There is no reasonable justification. If you don't like…
I told him he needs to work on his people skills (don't we all!) but honestly I thought it was just kind of a funny in-your-face style of presenting a point. It's certainly not for everyone but the substance is still there.
For the record, I read it so I can't just dismiss the things I might not have wanted to see by saying I didn't. Having read it, I have a harder time arguing. In my opinion, so much is wrong with the game that I have a hard time seeing where they first cuts and edits need to be made. You seem to lay out a pretty straight…
