  • Just reclaim the choice pack again and pick differently. You can get them all. As many times as you wish.
  • Discrimination? Really? You're going to compare people in a channel made for roleplaying, who are kind enough to extend their hard earned work to other roleplayers to the struggle that ethnic groups and minorities have faced? Brilliant.
  • Rest in Peace. Thank you for contributing to our ability to visit, if only for awhile, a place of dreams. May that inner part of you that made you unique find rest and peace.
  • I didn't comment on Cryptic's rating. I simply said that PWE couldn't have influenced my decision made years ago. Also, I don't use BBB as a tool to screen which businesses I will make purchases from. If I have a legitimate issue with a company and I exhaust all other avenues, I start with a BBB complaint and go from…
  • To be perfectly fair, I bought a lifetime subscription back when Cryptic was a company with a good rep (from the now closed Champions online) owned by Atari. PWE's rating could never have swayed that decision.
  • Yelp must be really good then. Like I said earlier, my experience is just my experience. Personal experience is never representative and can only be anecdotal but the BBB did indeed help me with Microsoft and with 2K, and so they're far from "a joke" and "worthless". Oh hey ... Yelp is apparently known for extorting…
  • I didn't buy the Elachi ship so why would I want a cloak I never had back? *boggled*
  • You obviously just skimmed the thread and wanted to take a pot-shot at the BBB like a lot of other ignorant know-it-alls I've met in my life. You keep on thinking they have no influence, and I'll keep on lodging complaints on the rare occasion it goes that far and getting my problems resolved and usually a bonus. I got my…
  • I don't think that the problem is that they don't QA in some form or another. Honestly I think they just don't have a specs bible. Everything that you put into the game should have a specifications sheet that describes it in detail, and part of the QA process is to ensure that what is being put into the game matches the…
  • PWE employees have my express permission to share my complete list of ships I own on my account. You won't find the Elachi Monbosh Battleship there because I don't have one. This is what is known as an ad hominem fallacy. You're attacking me by questioning my honesty and integrity in order to try and undermine my argument.…
  • Exactly my points, all lined up nicely. It's just the right thing to do. It costs them nothing ... some little virtual crystals that don't really exist and of which there are an infinite supply. Let the player give back the ship and its associated gagets and get their lobi crystals back and voila, everyone's happy. Take a…
  • To the bulk of your post, I would say that people usually believe their fleet mates, especially if they've been together a long time. Most of the people I know who bought the ship bought it because fleet people said it had a cloak. Food for thought.
  • Analogy doesn't work since the ship had the cloak when the people bought it. Cloak is being retroactively removed. Should be a very simple matter to just put in an option to give the ship back for its lobi cost and let folks get a different ship if they want. Makes customers happy and happy customers spend more money.
  • It's a fairly well documented fact that only a small portion of people who play online games visit the associated forums, facebook, twitter, etc. Many times you will find people visiting those places for the first time when they have a problem. When in game channels started telling people that the ship had a cloak, lots of…
  • No, I didn't buy the ship. The last thing I bought on the Lobi store was the tal shiar battle cruiser which I sold and then bought the adapted destroyer I wanted and made 25mil ec profit on the deal. Am I only allowed to have an opinion if I bought the terrible ship (the non-battle cloak doesn't help it much lol)?
  • You obviously didn't read my posts. I've seen many people claim that the BBB is corrupt and self-serving and irrelevant, and yet in the last couple years it has gotten Microsoft to refund back to me roughly $150 in stolen microsoft points plus give me a free year of xbox live gold and also got 2K to give me Bioshock…
  • What do "free" underselling and rarely used ships have to do with people dropping 800 lobi for a ship because they found out it had a cloak? Oh ... that's right. Nothing. It's a trivial matter to just have the lobi vendors refund that particular ship for X time and let those people who spent a bunch on lockbox keys use…
  • Okay ... so it was a mistake. What's wrong with refunding the people who bought it because it could cloak their 800 lobi? Cryptic long since already had the money paid out for the zen that bought those keys that opened the lockboxes that had the lobi in it ... so they lose nothing by doing right by their players.
  • Whoah! A canon argument. It's getting serious up in here.
  • I've worked in development and in game development. A remarkable amount of stuff can be accomplished with proper dev tools, and it seems fairly logical that Cryptic has a dev tool for setting up NPCs as shops, because it wouldn't make sense for each one to be hand coded, ergo if I had access to their dev tools, yes I could…
  • He's not a company and his mistakes didn't cost everyone who dumped 800 lobi onto this ship 154 lockbox keys (using 5.2 lobi per lockbox as my average, which is the number I've seen others use on the forum here. Feel free to assume the real average is 15 crystals per box (ROFL if you actually do) and that it only took 50…
  • I didn't buy the ship so I don't have a personal dog in the fight, nor any complaint of my own to make. The last time I filed a BBB complaint was march 28th of this year. At that time, MLB 2K12 had not been working for 28 days and all support e-mails, phone calls and website requests had gone unanswered. I filed the…
  • 1.) Something doesn't have to be advertised to be bait. Once it became common knowledge via in-game chats and channels that the ship had the ability to cloak, that ability became bait for people to drop the huge amount of lobi on it. 2.) If you think the BBB is a zero-power organization, then you don't live in the same…
  • it's called Bait-and-Switch, and it's potentially grounds for at least a BBB complaint if not more. It's irrelevant that it was "unintended" to the BBB. The fact that consumers can only get Lobi by opening lock boxes which requires keys which cost money and the fact that some consumers were directly influenced to purchase…
  • It lets me log in but when I click Engage I get the "Cryptic" on black screen and it just stops responding. Sometimes being a lifetime subscriber to this game feels like someone has played the world's biggest joked on me.
  • You are having this problem because PWE/Cryptic rented their rack space from Cogent, a very "lowest bid" company who also started carrying Netflix traffic. What is going on is that Cogent is dumping huge amounts of traffic (mostly netflix) onto the "last mile" infrastructure of Verizon, and Verizon is demanding that they…
  • Any worthwhile VPN service (read: can handle the transfer rates and won't lag/rubberband you) is going to cost money. So Cryptic/PWO's official response to this is "go spend more money"?
  • Okay, So a bunch of us who have Verizon or re-bundled Verizon internet connections are having problems where characters who try to zone into high pop sectors or spacedocks and such are getting timed out and then the character cannot be accessed. The problem is easy to see if you tracert to the game's servers. You guys are…
  • If I log in a character, it logs in. The moment I do something that swaps my zones (move from one sector to another, beam to my ship, beam to spacedock, etc...) the character fails to transfer properly and then cannot be played. I'm a lifetime subscriber who can't play the game and our Chinese overlords couldn't be…
  • Same problem. Put in a support ticket. I wonder how many days (weeks?) it will take?
