I've been doing this too, as I am officially giving up on cannons for my ship. However, the randomness of this process makes me wish I had the ability to force choke someone. So far, 1 beam with the mods I want, 4 of a slightly different flavour that sell on the exchange for decent coin. The rest? Trash.
I'll be on later tonight if you'd like to try it. If it works, it saves me 7 "levels" of grinding. If not, well, I'll be vacationing in Q's Winter Wonderland for the next 6 weeks anyway.
Are you able to train other people's BOFFs in Intel like you can other powers? If you can, I'd really appreciate that. I have a common-quality Intel BOFF (I bought it with DL) that I'd love to get trained up in OSS3 and SS3. Hopefully this BOFF isn't bound in any way...
I love the Phantom. If you are running Phaser of any flavour, seriously consider equipping the phaser lance console. I have ripped 250K criticals through ships with it. (Fully buffed, of course.) Due to the way Intel exposes work, it is not a decloak spike weapon, but for finishing off a foe, it has no equal. I love it as…
I was looking forward to getting the ability to train Level 3 Intel abilities, but, now with this massive wall facing me... I think you're right. It IS apathy o'clock.
I just did once, on Normal... Got 7955 from the mission, including kills. So I dunno who to believe now. Is this a nerf, a buff, a zero sum? It FEELS like it's slower, as my bar didn't go up as much as it did prior to the patch after an Argala patrol.
Actually, Star Citizen kinda reminds me of Battlecruiser 3000 AD. Famous developer, striking out on his own, promising the moon... yeah. Am I the only one who remembers BC 3K AD?
I'd start levelling in the T6 ships. T6 is going to be the gold standard going forward, especially when Fleet T6 arrives. I have no Intel officer guide right now, seeing as I am likely going to start experimenting with them tomorrow myself, but I will describe how mastery works. Basically, when you step aboard the bridge…
No, that's not how it works. Once you click Start Task, the top left window where the percentages used to be will show you what will be the Final Result (it even says Final Result in the top left corner). EDIT - Unless you are talking about DOFF jobs, in which case you are right, you don't know the result until they…
It is this way because once the R&D project is clicked, you know exactly what you are going to get. It would be trivial to exploit this so that you cancel your projects until you get the results you want.
I'll second this. The Phantom with the Reciprocity trait it comes with allows you to have excellent uptime on Tac skills plus the benefit of Intel skills, complete with the ability to mirror the Bug's resilient Eng layout, plus add on a LtCom Eng skill (I use it for DEM2) is a really, really good combination. Toss in an…
You're welcome. It's actually at the point where I might slot the Delta rep console and add Intel skills instead of dual-running Tac skills, and still have excellent uptime.
I don't have hard numbers, but in Normal PVE I see both pairs of tac abilities (CSV, APO, TT, and the singluar APB) free to use frequently. It almost feels like a free Zemok or two. As I said, no numbers, just going by "feels". EDIT: More than a Zemok, almost like A2B for tac skills...
Prices seem to be fluctuating (although are on a current downward trend.. for now) and the sheer volume of keys being traded (speculation, of course). Basically, post them too high and they'll sit there. And "too high" could be "lowest price" not 5 minutes ago. Really whacked right now.
A team (4-5 people) full of these things will literally make Borg in IGE, CGE and KAGE (soon to be IGA, CGA and KAGA I suppose) melt in front of you. It will be interesting to see how effective they are should the Borg get upgraded hit points on the ground in Advanced mode.
